The Council of Ministers sets the date for the celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi state

Today, Tuesday, the Council of Ministers decided to hold a celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi state.


Cabinet spokesman Hassan Nazim said in the weekly press conference that "the Council of Ministers has set next Saturday as a date to hold a celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi state."


In another context, he pointed out that "the Council of Ministers directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take the necessary measures to encourage Iraqi immigrants to return voluntarily."


He added, "The Council of Ministers calls for encouraging employees and auditors of state departments to receive Corona vaccines."


The Council of Ministers also decided to secure funds for the Ministry of Health to complete the requirements of the Najaf Teaching Hospital, according to Nazim.


And he indicated, "The Council of Ministers voted to secure sums of money to supply electricity to the pumps of Lake Tharthar, while authorizing the Ministry of Finance to secure the sums necessary to complete the large Samawa water project."


Nazim pointed out that "the process of returning the Gilgamesh Tablet with some other artifacts is the largest of the two recovery operations during the past period."

{Political: Al Furat News} Today, Tuesday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi chaired the forty-seventh regular session of the Council of Ministers, during which the general situation in the country was discussed, and the topics on the agenda were discussed.

At the beginning of the session, the Council of Ministers expressed its condemnation of the cowardly terrorist incident that took place in Basra province today, and vowed to pursue the perpetrators and punish them, asking God Almighty for mercy and forgiveness for the martyrs, and a speedy recovery for the wounded.

 The Prime Minister directed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to conduct quick investigations to reveal the executor and planner of the cowardly terrorist bombing that targeted our safe sons in Basra, and his sovereignty stressed the security services to double the intelligence effort in all governorates.

The Cabinet session witnessed a discussion of a number of files in various fields related to providing services to citizens.

The epidemiological report, the measures taken to confront the Corona pandemic, and the developments in the work of the Committee to Strengthen Government Actions in the areas of prevention and health awareness control were also reviewed. To limit the spread of the virus, government efforts to confront the pandemic, provide the necessary medical supplies, and secure vaccines through vaccination outlets spread throughout the governorates.

After discussing the topics on the agenda, the Council of Ministers issued the following decisions:

First / authorizing ministries and agencies not affiliated with a ministry to continue contracting to implement their annual plan until December 31, 2021, instead of December 15, 2021.

Second / Approval of authorizing the Minister of Finance the authority to borrow from the Trade Bank of Iraq, the details of which are set out in the Trade Bank of Iraq letter No. (288) dated November 24, 2021, at an amount of $76,000,000, only seventy-six million dollars, to finance the Samawah Water Project, based on To the provisions of Article (2/Second/Deficit/2/p), of the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal year 2021.

Third / The Ministry of Finance / Accounting Department allocates an amount of 1 billion dinars, only one billion dinars, to the Ministry of Health from the emergency reserve for the year 2021, based on the provisions of Article (5) of the Federal General Budget Law of the Republic of Iraq for the fiscal year / 2021, to complete the requirements of the Najaf Teaching Hospital.

Fourth / Approval of the recommendation of the Ministerial Council for Energy (155 of 2021) regarding urgent measures to address the water scarcity / installation of Lake Tharthar pumps as follows:
- Approval of the implementation of Cabinet Resolution (343 of 2018) from the emergency reserve / 2021, regarding the allocation of the Ministry of Finance 300,000,000 dinars , only three billion dinars to the Ministry of Water Resources, based on the provisions of Article (5) of the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal year 2021.

Fifth: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to take appropriate measures to encourage Iraqi citizens within the borders of Poland, Latvia and Lithuania, who were forced by circumstances to migrate outside Iraq, to return home, and to provide them with all facilities and assistance.

The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al-Ghazi, confirmed today, Thursday, that the Iraqis are inspired by lessons to raise the status of the decision and the leading role, noting that Iraq has overcome many internal and external challenges.

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers said in a statement received by the "National News Center", that "under the patronage of the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, the secretariat celebrated the centenary of the founding of the Iraqi state, in the presence of the advanced owners and staff in it."

The Secretary-General of the Council, in a speech delivered on his behalf by his deputy, Farhad Nematullah Hussein, affirmed that “the date of the twenty-third of August 1921 is a historic day in the memory of Iraqis, as it is the day that practically dates the beginning of a new state, inspired by modern values in managing the country’s capabilities.”

He added, "The Iraqis are celebrating today the centenary of the Iraqi state in thought and practice. They continue through a remarkable national effort to cross internal and external challenges in various fields in drawing lessons and lessons to raise the status of the Iraqi decision and restore the vital and pioneering role of the country at the level of the region and the world," noting that "" The most prominent thing that the international community witnessed was the rare image of the sons of Mesopotamia in defending their lands and sanctities against the fiercest barbaric attack known in the modern and contemporary era, represented by the major confrontation with the terrorist gangs of ISIS. from the defilement of the enemies.”

Sisi sends a message to Baghdad: 100 years since the inception of the Iraqi state

On Friday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi congratulated Iraq on the centenary of the founding of the modern Iraqi state.  

 

 

  

Al-Sisi wrote, through his official accounts on social media, (10 December 2021), "The brothers in Iraq celebrate today an occasion that I consider dear to the entire Arab nation. It is the centenary of the founding of the modern Iraqi state... a hundred years have passed since the Cairo Conference in 1921, which inaugurated the establishment of the modern Iraqi state." The Iraqi state, as an extension of an ancient civilization that has its roots in the depths of history.  

He added, "One hundred years witnessed many historical milestones in the march of Iraq, the Arab nation, and even the whole world.... On my own behalf and on behalf of the Egyptian people, we congratulate brotherly Iraq on this precious occasion, and we wish its great and proud people peace, security and stability, and that Iraq will always remain an asset to the Arab nation." ".
