Security expert Ahmed Al-Sharifi did not rule out friction between the Iraqi army and the Popular Mobilization, saying that it was "possible."

The security expert, Ahmed Al-Sharifi, does not rule out the occurrence of friction between the Iraqi army and the Popular Mobilization, stressing in an interview with the neutral program that is shown on the official channel, that “any friction between the Iraqi army and the Popular Mobilization factions bears the responsibility of the political leaders,” noting that “the leaders of the Popular Mobilization are not They have the ability to control the street."

Al-Sharifi added in his speech, which was followed by “Ultra Iraq”, that “the losers want to burden the political process with a new tragedy, pointing out that” Iraq has more than 4 million orphans and widows, asking: “Do you want to add more orphans?” Addressing the losers, “they nominated Respected personalities and the people will elect you."

And platforms for the armed factions quoted high-ranking sources in the so-called “coordinating framework,” saying, “There will be an escalation that will not only be in front of the gates of the Green Zone, but will be accompanied by cutting off the roads leading to Baghdad Airport and the main roads between the governorates with the support and backing of the Resistance Coordination.” This was confirmed by Juma Al-Atwani, who is close to the factions, in a statement followed by "Ultra Iraq", by saying, "The forces objecting to the results are heading towards escalation and sit-ins."

In this context, the military spokesman for the Hezbollah Brigades, "Abu Ali Al-Askari", called for the trial of the caretaker prime minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, commenting on the results of the primary elections, and recently warned in a statement, that things may go "for the most dire consequences."

Al-Askari’s comment came against the background of  a statement by the  so-called “Iraqi Resistance Committee” in which it declared the right to “protest against all those who wronged them, refused to comply with their demands and confiscated their rights,” while stressing that “foreign hands manipulation of the election results and their flagrant fraud methods under government supervision led to the result.” to the failure to perform the work of the Commission and its inability to stand in the face of external will, which may lead the country to the brink of an abyss.”

The blogger close to the "armed factions", Ahmed Abdel-Sada, who confirms that he is familiar with "what is going on behind the scenes", says in statements followed by "Ultra Iraq", that "military measures will take place if the conspiracy to steal the votes of the popular crowd continues and if the election commission continues to be ignored." He pointed out, "I have accurate information that the UAE has been targeted militarily from Iraqi territory through drones to deliver a message of deterrence."

Earlier,  he warned the cleric Moqtada al - Sadr, of "infighting and confrontation" on the back of the Declaration of the full results of the elections by the Supreme Commission.

Since the results were announced 24 hours after the October poll, leaders in the Al-Fateh Alliance (16 seats), the Rights Movement (one seat), the State Forces Alliance (5 seats), and the so-called (state forces), continue to reject the election results that came contrary to their expectations.

The day after the announcement of the results of the Iraqi elections, following the completion of the manual counting, demonstrations took place in several cities of the country, on Sunday, October 17 (October 17), rejecting the results, while Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi called for overcoming differences to cross the country to safety.

Protesters burned tires in several Iraqi regions and blocked roads, especially in the provinces of Basra and Wasit.

reject results

The protests came after a statement on Sunday by the "Coordination Committee of the Iraqi Resistance", which represents Iranian-backed factions , in which it warned that "foreign hands manipulation of the election results and their flagrant fraud methods under government supervision, have resulted in the failure to perform the work of the (Supreme Elections) Commission and its inability to Standing in the face of foreign wills, which may bring the country to the edge of the abyss.” The Coordination affirmed, "The Iraqis have the right to protest against all those who have wronged them."

With the escalation of tension in the country, the leader of the "State of Law" coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, called in a tweet on "Twitter" on Sunday, the demonstrators objecting to the election results to protest peacefully.

Al-Kazemi calls for overcoming differences

For his part, the Prime Minister stressed, during his participation in the celebration of the Prophet's birthday, the "integrity" of the electoral process, saying that the new deputies have a "duty to restore people's confidence in political work, and restore confidence in democracy."

Al-Kazemi added, "We are facing a new stage in which we are inspired by all the lessons and lessons of the past, and we must put our hands in each other's hands, and transcend partisan or personal differences and jurisprudence, to cross our country to safety, and provide what our people deserve in terms of well-being, stability and construction."

Appeal deadline

Late on Saturday, the Electoral Commission announced the completion of manual counting of more than 3,000 polling stations across the country, and that the turnout in the October 10 poll was 43 percent. The committee added that the total of those who voted exceeded 9.6 million, noting that the results are subject to appeal.

Later on Sunday, a member of the media team at the Commission, Imad Jamil Mohsen, explained that "receipt of appeals will continue for three days and then be considered by the Board of Commissioners for a period of 7 days, and then considered by the judicial authority for a period of 10 days," noting that " The results of the appeals will be announced, and then the names of the winning deputies will be announced after the full consideration of the appeals and approval of the results before they are submitted to the Federal Court.

The Sadrist Movement

The leader of the "Sadr movement" , Muqtada al-Sadr, said that his bloc had obtained the largest number of seats in parliament, and that he would not contest the results. He added in a statement Saturday, "We will seek national alliances, not sectarian or ethnic, and under the tent of reform in accordance with the aspirations of the people."

At least 167 political parties and more than 3,200 candidates ran in the parliamentary elections in the hope of winning as many as possible from the 329 parliament seats.

Those elections were held several months ahead of schedule, in response to the 2019 mass protests that toppled the government and showed widespread anger at political leaders who many Iraqis say have made fortunes for themselves at the country's expense.
