Confirmed IRAQI PRESIDENT BARHAM SALIH , the need to promote the economy and support the private investment sector, and the importance of drawing public policy in the country to achieve economic development.

Saleh explained - during his meeting with the Iraqi Minister of Planning Khaled Battal Al-Najm, today, Wednesday, according to the Iraqi National Agency - the important role of the Iraqi Ministry of Planning in this regard, in order to provide the best services to citizens, create job opportunities and reduce poverty and unemployment rates.

He pointed to the need to redouble efforts to find a financial and economic policy that achieves stability and promotes reforms in various sectors in order to advance the Iraqi economy, support the private sector and investment.

This initiative aims to strengthen private sector’s participation in the overall economic activity of the country, making it the main leverage of the economic performance, addressing the current and future unemployment, and alleviating pressure on the public sector.
