{Political: Al Furat News} The US ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Tueller, announced that the United States had paid ten million dollars to UNAMI for the success of the Iraqi elections.

"The commission was able to hold good elections in Iraq," Toli said at the "Miri" forum, which was launched today in the Erbil Governorate, in the most valuable of Kurdistan.

He added, "The Iraqis can manage their affairs without external interference," noting that "the strategic agreement defined our relations with Iraq."

Tueller pointed out that his country "helped Iraq in dozens of ways," noting that "Iraq will reduce emissions of harmful gases."

Today, Tuesday, the US ambassador to Baghdad, Matthew Tueller, vowed that the United States would impose sanctions on outlaw armed groups targeting their interests in Iraq.

In a dialogue session on the sidelines of the Middle East Forum held in Erbil, Tueller said that the attacks targeting (America) in Iraq are carried out by outlaw groups, adding: We have asked Iran and neighboring countries not to infringe on the sovereignty of Iraqi territory.

He added that the attacks that targeted the Kurdistan Region were aimed at undermining the situation there, pointing out that the target of these attacks is not only America, but the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi government.

The ambassador continued, saying: his country has been working for years to end the threats targeting Iraq.

And about the attacks that affect the Kurdistan Region and the coalition forces there and how to deal with them, Tueller said that we are really dealing with these attacks and the forces and those executing them according to their size.

And he added: I want to assure you that our sanctions will affect the outlaw groups that target US and Iraqi interests, stressing that the aim of these sanctions is to change the behavior and behavior of those groups that pose permanent threats to the security and stability of Iraq.

 

On the other hand, Tueller expressed the desire of the United States to expedite the formation of the new Iraqi government, according to the results of the recent parliamentary elections.

Tueller said that "our responsibility is to provide security and stability for Iraq," adding that "America believes in the need to continue cooperation with this country."

He stressed that Iraq is suffering with different sectors, including electricity, education and the environment, pointing out that the United States wants to strengthen these sectors, and we want the Iraqi people to stand on their old.

On what is being raised about the existence of an agenda for the United States in Iraq and the attempt of some to confront it, the ambassador said that his country does not have any agenda in this country for people to undermine relations between Washington and Baghdad.

Regarding the formation of the new Iraqi government, Tueller said that the formation of the government is an important process and it should be expedited, and according to the results of the elections.

He continued by saying that the international community, the United Nations and the United States emphasized that the Iraqi people deserve to have a government according to a peaceful transition process.

With regard to the legislative elections that took place in Iraq in October, the US ambassador said: These elections were successful from a technical point of view and the preparation for them, describing them as the calmest and best electoral process that took place in Iraq.

He also said: We want to form an Iraqi government peacefully, without any interference, and it should not be formed on the basis of violence, stressing that the decision to form the government belongs to the Iraqi people because they are the ones who voted in the elections.
