The Republic, with plans to deploy 28 other machines outside the branches by the end of this year, in commercial malls, hospitals, markets, major institutions and others, in a way that enhances the bank’s ATMs network and provides greater coverage throughout the country. The introduction of the “contactless card” feature is the most prominent aspect of the development of ATMs, which allows the customer to conduct his transactions without inserting his card into the ATM. Contactless cards are considered as a new generation of electronic payment cards that support the Central Bank’s vision of digital transformation, and they were issued by Egyptian banks as one of the means of preventive contactless electronic payments, especially after the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic. Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt confirmed that this development comes within the framework of its commitment to providing innovative technology that includes all digital products, and introducing the latest smart methods in banking technology to facilitate customers, in addition to offering a range of distinctive banking products in cooperation with various parties, in line with the vision of The Central Bank of Egypt towards achieving financial inclusion. Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt also aims from the development process to add many other new features to the ATM network by the end of this year, including reducing direct transactions, having a wallet inside and outside the mobile phone, making transfers to “cash back” cards, and activating the contactless feature. Further, and facilitating the account statement request, in addition to providing new technological solutions that serve the people of determination.
