The governments of the UAE and Iraq launch a strategic partnership in government modernization

Mohammed Al Gergawi: The agreement builds on the solid relations between Iraq and the UAE and reflects the visions of the leaderships of the two countries to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences in various fields.

Raed Jouhi: The strategic partnership in government modernization between the UAE and Iraq comes within the framework of the historical brotherly relations that unite the two brotherly countries.

DUBAI, 3rd October/WAM/ The government of the United Arab Emirates and the government of the Republic of Iraq have launched a strategic partnership in government modernization and development, based on enhancing the exchange of knowledge, experiences and successful experiences between the two countries, developing human capabilities and adopting best practices in government work, benefiting from the experience of the UAE government in Government development and modernization.

The strategic partnership agreement was signed by His Excellency Muhammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and His Excellency Judge Raed Jouhi, Director of the Office of the Iraqi Prime Minister, in the presence of His Excellency Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, and His Excellency Abdullah Nasser Lootah, Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs. His Excellency Dr. Yasser Al-Naqbi, Assistant Director-General for Government Leadership and Capabilities in the Prime Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, and from the Iraqi side, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hakim, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Strategic Affairs, Dr. Alaa Al-Saadi, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Executive Director of the Reform Management Cell, and a number of officials from both sides.

The strategic partnership aims to transfer the experience of the UAE government in developing government work, and raising the levels of efficiency and performance in the government work system in the sisterly Republic of Iraq, by launching a package of strategic initiatives and projects that contribute to enhancing readiness for the future and finding innovative solutions to challenges.

Mohammed Al Gergawi: UAE government is keen to strengthen partnerships with the region and the world to serve the communities and HE Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi , the UAE , led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan , President of the State "may God protect him," and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , Vice - President The State, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, is keen to strengthen partnerships aimed at developing and modernizing government work and improving the lives of societies, with the governments of the region and the world.

Mohammed Al Gergawi said that the strategic partnership in government modernization between the UAE and the sisterly Republic of Iraq builds on the solid relations that unite the two countries, and focuses on expanding horizons for sharing experiences, experiences, success stories and knowledge exchange in developing government services, strengthening institutional capabilities, improving governance, performance measurement and excellence systems, and building Capabilities and skills in the Iraqi government agencies, and the development of digital services, through the exchange of knowledge and benefit from experiences, evidence and development models to raise the levels of efficiency and government performance and provide the best services.

The Minister of Cabinet Affairs added that the UAE government is keen to share its successful experiences with all governments in the region and the world, and to benefit from innovative work models that countries have been able to implement, to create new models that enable governments to find effective solutions to current and future challenges.

For his part, Judge Raed Jouhi stressed that the strategic partnership in government modernization between the UAE and the Republic of Iraq comes within the framework of the historical brotherly relations that unite the two countries and their two brotherly peoples, and the keenness of the leaderships of the two countries to enhance joint cooperation, coordinate efforts and develop prospects for relations to serve common interests.

Jouhi said, "We have developed an action plan consisting of 11 axes, and we have elaborated their details and work teams for each of them, and we will benefit from the white paper governance plan in Iraq, in addition to the experiences of our brothers in the UAE, in implementing this plan," noting that the partnership between the governments of the UAE and the Republic of Iraq It focuses on exchanging expertise, experiences and best government practices, and benefiting from the experience of the UAE government in government development and modernization, which has provided the world as a model for advancement, progress and government development and occupied a leading and distinguished position among the countries of the region and the world.

He added, "Iraq has been able to make progress during the past two decades in various fields after decades of wars and siege, and now we are determined to activate what we have developed together, and we will work with the same seriousness to expand the horizons of partnership and achieve a better future for the two brotherly peoples," expressing his thanks to the UAE for its constant quest to build Bridges of partnership aimed at serving societies in the region and the world.

The partnership between the governments of the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Iraq includes the exchange of expertise, experiences and best government practices in 11 vital axes, including government performance, government excellence, government services, government capacity building, civil service, competitiveness and statistics, government accelerators, business incubators, media, government innovation, and programming .

The government of the Republic of Iraq and the government of the United Arab Emirates have launched a strategic partnership in government modernization and development, based on enhancing the exchange of knowledge, expertise and successful experiences between the two countries.
