Committee member Naji Al-Saeedi said in a press statement, "The government has challenged some items of the current year’s budget that it considers to be an" absolute executive authority "and that pertains to the committee's scrutiny of budgets before sending them to the Ministry of Planning, as well as items related to the degrees of deletion and creation that were originally removed from the budget. It's apparent through the years that Iraq needs a real grown up to lead and manage their country. If the IMF and World Bank really wanted to help this bunch of corrupt, inept bandits with their finances they would set an agency to do just that. They would set up an account that every month the regions share would be deposited along with the oil and whatever else the budget stipulated would be deposited. When both funds were in the account the grown up in charge of the account would write a check to each party. This way one side isn't waiting on the other to make the first of the deposits.
