Opening ceremony left me flat.....

 

What's an Olympics without fans and fanfare?

 

Just wait till the individual protesting starts.....pre-events....

 

The world is so much smaller now......we are no longer awed to learn that Japanese Citizens fish and do wood working..(opening ceremony)

 

First Gold.....10 Meter Air Rifle.......really?????....that's an Olympic event?..... 

 

They added Surfing......they better hope for a typhoon....3 foot waves are more the norm....

 

Japan is 13 hours ahead of EST......Looks like NBC will try to delay much of the coverage for their prime time......not much to see live in the US......

 

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the media outlets black out the results.. 

 

World wide competition used to be pretty rare....now it is common place.....

 

Wonder if they'll show any Air Rifle.....?.....funny stuff...

countries spend billions and the whole Olympic games has become a joke. Seriously, if it is to continue, the Olympics should be placed in one spot and stay there. A neutral country where all countries contribute to maintain the venues. When it was in Atlanta in '96, it was like a circus and I was working right in the middle of it. Crazy times....
