The issue of the salary scale and achieving justice in it is still the main concern for most segments of society, as it has created class differences between one group and another.

At a time when members of Parliamentary Finance indicated that the salary scale in Iraq in general does not have justice and there is a great disparity between one degree to another, parliamentarians stress the importance of sending the government to a bill to amend the salary scale to the House of Representatives in order to proceed with its legislation during the next stage, while ruling out Political specialists may discuss the issue of amending the salary scale or sending a new law to it within the current government, as it is not a priority for its work.

Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee Ahmed Al-Saffar revealed that the salary scale in Iraq in general has no justice and there is a great disparity between one degree to another. And that “prices in general have risen at all levels as a result of the rise in the exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar, offset by the decrease in the purchasing value of the monthly income of the citizen in general.” , indicating, "The salary situation in Iraq requires a new salary scale, and care must be taken that there are no large differences between the lowest and highest salary.

For his part, Representative Yonadam Kanna said that the government is obligated to submit a bill to amend the salary scale so that it will then be completed by the House of Representatives within the legislative procedures, while the allocations are within the powers and duties of the Prime Minister.

Political researchers rule out the possibility of discussing the issue of amending the salary scale or sending a new law to it within the current government, as it is not a priority for its work.. They show that preparing a new salary scale collides with several obstacles, most notably the preparation of the budget and the financial crisis, especially after changing the exchange rate and the resulting measures which is mainly related to the distribution of job grades, so this may raise some financial burdens, which makes most parliamentary committees avoid going into the issue of preparation or adopting the issue of preparing a new salary scale.
