Yes Marrkb57 they are pathetic to say the less. Iran is behind it as well. I don't see how they can allow Iran to impede any progress they can accomplish and be a part of it. They are allowing there own Country and people to go into the abyss of poverty when they have the resources of a wealthy nation. I don't believe anything will happen and the whole Country will go into bankruptcy because they can not survive on oil revenue. The world is turning to renewable energy and this will effect the price of oil in the future. So Sad!

Mubasher: The Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee in Iraq announced today, Friday, that the oil and gas law will be transferred to the next legislative session.

Committee member Amjad Hashem Al-Aqabi said in a special statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Friday, that the House of Representatives cannot initiate the oil and gas law, pointing out that this law is still present in the parliament and can be voted on during the next legislative session.

Al-Uqabi added that the Council will vote in its upcoming sessions on the draft law on the National Oil Company.

With regard to the issue of electricity, Al-Uqabi explained that the coming days will witness the operation of the Al-Jasiya station, noting that "the opening of this station is an achievement for the Ministry of Electricity."

He pointed out that the technical and engineering cadres in the Ministry of Electricity are able to address the problems that may occur in electrical energy during the summer and high temperatures, despite the presence of financial austerity.

Al-Uqabi indicated that if Iranian gas arrives, the electric power stations will be fully operational, and the rate of supplying citizens with electricity will be 4 hours of operation compared to 2 hours of extinguishing.

Baghdad today - Baghdad

Today, Sunday, a member of the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee, Ghaleb Muhammad Ali, commented on the possibility of passing the oil and gas law during the current parliamentary session.

Muhammad Ali told (Baghdad Today), “The oil and gas law is more political than technical, so this is how the political forces look at it, and that is why it cannot be passed in Parliament without the leaders of the political blocs agreeing on it once and for all, but there is no real seriousness in resolving this law.” important during the current parliamentary session.”

He added that "the influential Kurdish political forces in the Kurdistan region refuse to legislate this law more than the other political forces, because the legislation of this law means the existence of real and serious control over the region's oil, and for this we find the law has been inoperative for years and will remain suspended until the region's oil remains without real federal oversight

I like how the article states "they arent very serious about passing the law" because they typically get it done when they act like its not important. When they say its urgent or imminent, it usually doesn't happen.

Its time to begin lining these criminals up against the wall

3n1, that’s why you see the little interest in DV and probably the rest of the Dinar sites. I think Iraq has about worn most people down and the activity on these sites prove it.
I’m looking for the Dinar to start selling very cheaply on EBay soon…

Parliamentary Committee: The Oil and Gas Law is clinically dead and awaiting revival between Baghdad and Erbil

Shafaq News/ The Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee confirmed, on Monday, that the oil and gas law is one of the important laws and difficult to pass in Parliament, while indicating that the law is clinically dead and will not see the vote.

Committee member Ghaleb Muhammad told Shafaq News Agency, "The oil and gas law is one of the important laws in the House of Representatives and has been suspended since the first session, and it is not possible to vote on the law in light of the differences and political conflicts between the federal governments and the Kurdistan Region."

Muhammad added, "The oil and gas law is considered clinically dead in Parliament, and the vote will not be seen in either the current parliamentary session or the next, given that the Kurdistan Region's oil is the basis of the main problem with the law."

He pointed out that "Article 111 of the constitution states that oil belongs to all Iraqis, and any new fields are managed in partnership between the local authority and the center, but this did not happen with the fields of Kurdistan."

The ministries of oil and energy in the Erbil and Baghdad governments are keen on the need to expedite the passage of the oil and gas law because of its importance in regulating the management of oil and gas wealth in Iraq.

On May 22, 2021, the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s parliamentary bloc revealed the existence of a preliminary agreement for the political forces to resolve the oil and gas law in Parliament, before the end of its current session.

This came after political blocs, including Kurdistan, submitted their observations on some articles of the law to the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee, in preparation for its passage in Parliament.

Today, Tuesday, the representative of the Al-Sadiqun Parliamentary Bloc, Ahmed Al-Kinani, called on the political forces to ask their members to complete a quorum for holding parliament sessions, noting that there are interrogations, hostings and important laws that should be approved.

Al-Kinani said in a press statement followed by “Al-Ahd News”, that “most members of the House of Representatives are upset about the failure to hold parliament sessions,” noting that “there are important laws awaiting approval during these months, in addition to interrogations, because the street today is pressuring the House of Representatives to interrogate.” Some ministers who failed in many files.”

Al-Kinani warned against "the continuation of the parliament's status as it is," calling "the political forces to ask their members to complete the quorum to pass the important laws that the Iraqi citizen is waiting for."

He considered that "the failure to hold parliament sessions is a failure and a shortcoming."
It is noteworthy that the presidency of the House of Representatives has been postponed during the past few days, holding its session more than once due to the lack of a quorum.

Deputy: The current parliamentary session is more efficient and stronger than its predecessors

{Political: Al-Furat News} Jawad Al-Moussawi, a deputy from the Sairoon bloc, considered that the current parliamentary session is "the most efficient and stronger" than its predecessors after 2003.

Al-Moussawi told {Euphrates News}, "The current fourth parliamentary session is one of the strongest and most efficient parliamentary sessions, as it produced and legislated very important laws and decisions, including international resolutions and decisions related to the military presence inside Iraq and large and radical health, financial and political decisions."
He added, "I want this session not to complete its parliamentary period and its session completely, with external and internal interventions as well, as well as disrupting the remaining few months before the elections, and all this is calculated and deliberate to weaken this parliamentary session."
It is noteworthy that early parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held on October 10, in response to the demands of the people and in support of the call of the supreme religious authority, after popular protests emerged in October 2020, in which hundreds of martyrs were killed and thousands were wounded.
