He added that "they will take wheels, buses, facilities, buses, and wheels of a Kia type for logistical support, and their passage will be on the Baghdad Hilla highway," indicating that "the gathering place will be Nisour Square."

 

The source pointed out that "nearly 100 people have already gone to Baghdad to spend the night, fearing that the roads will be closed."

 

In Najaf, the source said that "the demonstrators will gather near the bridge of the twentieth revolution, and 6 buses will transport them from Najaf to Baghdad," indicating that "each bus will have a representative of the activists and is responsible for the movement of the wheels."

 

He added that "the leaders of the demonstrators will go to Baghdad by their own wheels and not by buses, to avoid arrests or not being allowed to enter the capital."

 

The source pointed out that "the gathering point for all demonstrators will be in Andalus Square, and then they will go to Tahrir Square," noting that "there will be a pause in Tahrir and then march towards the Supreme Judicial Council."

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - Kurdistan 24 correspondent Soran Kamran said that thousands of Iraqis gathered today, Tuesday, to launch demonstrations called by large segments of Iraqi society.

Buses and vehicles carrying demonstrators arrived from a number of governorates, including Karbala, Najaf, Dhi Qar, Basra and others, as thousands began to launch their protests, which mainly demanded "uncovering the killers of the demonstrators."

On May 9, the activist in the October demonstrations movement, Ihab Al-Wazni, was assassinated by unknown persons who were riding a motorcycle in the Karbala governorate.

Dhul Wazzani launched a campaign to demand the disclosure of his killers.

And reports of intense security deployment last night in different areas in the capital, Baghdad.

The tag "I am an Iraqi who killed me" was published by activists on social media, and the campaign included the publication of dozens of banners at the entrances to Karbala and its main streets bearing the image of Al-Wazni written on it.

Dozens of activists have been subjected to assassinations or kidnappings since the start of the protests in October 2019, and about 29 activists have been killed during the last four months, not to mention the failed assassination attempts.

The Security Media Cell stated, in a statement received by the “National News Center,” that “In the context of its keenness to preserve the peacefulness of the demonstrations, protect the security and safety of the demonstrators, and enable them to exercise their constitutional right in accordance with legal controls, the joint security forces, which were entrusted with the task of securing demonstrations, began their duties with complete professionalism. High concern shows the extent to which these forces have national and moral responsibility towards the honorable peaceful demonstrators, based on the directive of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and his clear orders in this framework, which are based on protecting the security and safety of demonstrators, maintaining peaceful demonstrations, preventing armed demonstrations, refusing to use weapons, preserving public and private money, and rejecting practices that are not Legal that may divert the course of the demonstrations from their desired peaceful course.

The statement added: “The security forces, in their strategy to protect the demonstrators, are keen to impose comprehensive security cordons that secure the movement of demonstrators in the demonstration squares in the capital Baghdad and the various governorates of the country. The plan to secure demonstrations also included coordination with the competent departments to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, which ensures that the interests of citizens are not reconciled And everyday public life ”.

And he continued: "On the humanitarian side, the joint forces were keen to secure medical detachments in the security sectors in Baghdad and the provinces, while providing water and treatment to all the demonstrators and what needed that."

According to the statement, the Joint Operations Command called on all the demonstrators to "the importance of adhering to the peaceful demonstrations and expressing their constitutional right completely freely, which reflects their culture, commitment and patriotism. The joint Iraqi security forces will be keen to protect the peaceful demonstrations and the security of the demonstrators and provide them with full support."

And the Security Media Cell announced in a statement received by " Sputnik ", before midnight, that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, directed the opening of an urgent investigation headed by the Joint Operations Command and the membership of officers from the Ministries of Defense and Interior, to investigate the circumstances of the events that accompanied the demonstrations, and to identify the negligent and hold them accountable. .

Iraqi demonstrators reported, this evening, Tuesday, that two demonstrators were killed and 11 others were wounded, after security forces used live bullets, in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad.

A protester confirmed to "Sputnik" agency, with reservations about revealing his poison, that two demonstrators were killed after they were hit by live bullets, which the security forces used to disperse the demonstrations in Tahrir Square.

Another added that 11 demonstrators were wounded by live bullets and tear gas canisters, noting that the wounded were transferred to hospitals near Al-Rusafa, including the Neurosurgery Hospital, Al-Kamadi and Sheikh Zayed.

Thousands of Iraqi demonstrators from the central and southern governorates flocked to Baghdad late last night to join the popular revolution in its renewal, Tuesday, May 25, to demand the detection of the killers of activists after the escalation of the assassinations.

The commission renewed its "demand for the demonstrators to prevent those who want to divert the demonstrations from their peaceful course and to continue their exercise of this right by cooperating with the security forces and preserving public and private property."
For his part, Ali Al-Bayati, a member of the Commission, said: "Any investigation conducted by the security forces while they are accused of violence or negligence in their duties will not be effective," calling on the judiciary to "seek the help of security institutions and their data and independent security experts for the investigation."

Mubasher: The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazimi, confirmed that there are those trying to create security and political crises for the purpose of electoral competition or obstructing the elections.

This came during his presidency of a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security, which was devoted to discussing security developments, according to a statement from the Media Office of the Prime Minister, today, Wednesday.

Al-Kazemi said, during the meeting: that Iraq is going through a sensitive phase, and this government was formed in order to address the challenges that the country went through as a result of long accumulations, and almost went the situation to a dangerous deterioration.

He added that the moves by armed groups in Baghdad today are a serious violation, not only of law and order, but of the Iraqi constitution.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces also indicated that the constitution defines the duties of the authorities, and that the government is responsible for the executive tasks and carries out what is issued by the judiciary in accordance with legal notes.

 

Al-Kazemi added that there are those trying to create security and political crises for the purpose of electoral competition or obstructing the elections, and if this government had political ambitions, it would have acted as previous governments worked to form a political bloc of their own and enter the elections, but we did not do that, although all the opportunities were Available to us, and we adhered to our goal of clearing the electoral environment and avoiding Iraq from further crises.

He added: We worked with all strength and sincerity in order to dismantle the accumulated crises that we inherited from previous governments, economically, securely, politically, socially and internationally, and we succeeded in some of them, and there are crises that need more time to dismantle and deal with them.

The Commander in Chief emphasized that this government is not a retaliatory government, nor is it a government of political liquidations, but rather a government that worked to serve Iraq and its people.
