Shafaq News / The Speaker of Kurdistan Parliament, Rewaz Faiq, announced on Tuesday that the head of the New Generation Movement, Kazem Farouk, will not lift the immunity of the head of the New Generation Movement.

Faeq said during the session that took place today, that Farouk's failure to attend the sessions was a parliamentary decision, and not of his own free will, so we will not apply the absentee judgment to him, and it will not be dealt with according to the absence article from the internal system.

She emphasized that the decision to ban parliamentarian Kazem Farouk from entering the sessions was voted on, noting that for his return to attend the sessions, there are two ways: either he apologizes or the decision is canceled.

And for the third time in a row, the security authorities responsible for protecting the Kurdistan Parliament building prevented Faruq from entering the parliament for not presenting an official apology for what he did for raising his shoes in front of the Presidency.

"I prefer to stay outside the parliament with a head raised, not to be lowered in it," Farouk said in a press conference held today after he was denied entry.

Faruq had raised his shoes in the face of members of the Presidency of the Kurdistan Parliament and threw them in a session held at the end of last March and left the parliament barefoot in protest at not giving more time to speak.

The Presidency of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament decided to deprive the head of the New Generation Hirak bloc from participating in the upcoming sessions as a result of his behavior.

Parliament Speaker Rewaz Faiq said at the time that in exchange for the disrespectful and inappropriate behavior that parliamentarian Kazem Farouk took on the parliamentary campus, it was decided to prevent him from participating in the upcoming sessions until he submits an official apology to Parliament.
