WATCH LIVE: Arizona Elections Audit

So do you think the firm counting the ballots who’s head guy thinks the election was stolen doesn’t show bias? And now they want to keep their methods secret! If this was a never Trumper conducting the audit and wanted to keep his method secret this form would GO BALLISTIC and melt down. And you know it!

A never Trumper would never do it. They'd be afraid to show the fraud that actually had an election stolen from Trump. The only thing this guy wants to keep private is proprietary information on his accounting methods. Everything else is wide open and under video surveillance. Why are you so afraid of this audit?

Though you didn't ask me, I'm still going to tell you.  I'm not against the audit.....I'm simply against people claiming election fraud being the one's conducting said audit, which is certainly a reasonable response, don't you agree?

I don't have an issue with it. He is showing it live. Not like the Schiff show on election night. Papered windows, no witnesses allowed, false flooding issues, closed doors and not a peep from liberals on those actions.

We'll see how you feel if the audit concludes there was no fraud, or not enough to overturn the results......As well as how I'll feel if it does conclude massive voter fraud.  Should be interesting when the results come back.  I hope everyone is willing to accept the results....or perhaps the waters will just get muddier.

Not afraid of the audit at all. Just want someone doing it that has no biases. When this audit comes back as no evidence of fraud will you except it? My guess is no!

My guess is you will only accept the outcome you desire. Otherwise, you'll simply say it was rigged. But that's okay, looks like the new judge is related to Perkins kooty lawless firm.

Former President Donald Trump arrives on Marine One to speak at a rally at Prescott Regional Airport in Prescott, Arizona on October 19, 2020.

In February, a judge from the Maricopa County Superior Court instructed county officials to comply with the subpoenas issued by the Arizona Senate. The judge asked officials to hand over the 2020 election materials to Senate Republican leaders in order for them to conduct an audit. Its aim is to ensure that the results are free from fraud and irregularities. In March, the Senate ordered the recount of 2.1 million ballots by hand. Now, the Republican-led Senate has appointed four companies to conduct a full hand recount and forensic audit of the election materials.

The audit will validate every area of the voting process to ensure the integrity of the vote. The scope of work will include, but is not limited to, scanning all ballots, a full manual recount, auditing the registration and votes cast, the vote counts, and the electronic voting system… Because it is an independent audit, leadership will not be directly involved, and members do not expect to comment on any of the processes of the audit until the report is issued in about 60 days,” stated a press release from the Arizona State Senate Republican Caucus.

The four companies hired to conduct the audit are:

  • Cyber Ninjas from Florida that will be leading the audit. Focusing on application security, the company works across government and financial services sectors. The company will be paid $150,000 by the Senate for its work. The company has been tasked to examine precincts that have a high number of election anomalies and to collect information to check if specific individuals cast votes in the election.
  • Digital Discovery, a cybersecurity company from Texas.
  • CyFIR, a cybersecurity company from Virginia that provides forensic services.
  • Wake Technology Services, an IT services company from Pennsylvania. It had performed hand recounts of 2020 election results in two states: Pennsylvania and New Mexico. The company has been involved in investigating cases of election fraud dating back to 1994 and has a history of working closely with the FBI.

The Senate leadership expressed hope that the audit will be conducted in a transparent manner. Senate President Karen Fann said that citizens need to be assured that the Arizona Senate and Maricopa County cooperate on the audit to bring “integrity to the election process.”

Members of the Democratic Party and leftist supporters oppose the measures to ensure election integrity. They have criticized Republicans for selecting four auditing companies that are aligned with their ideologies.

However, for an earlier audit, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors had hired firms with links to Dominion Voting Systems. Dominion is the company accused of election fraud that supplied equipment to the county.

Alexander Kolodin, an attorney who has been a part of several election integrity lawsuits, said that none of the four companies hired by the Senate for the audit has any prior business relationship with manufacturers who had supplied election equipment to the county.

“Dominion’s executives have made no secret of their political leanings. Democrats who never took issue with the fact that a company led by liberals was providing equipment used in Maricopa County’s elections have little ground to complain if a company with conservative leadership checks their work… This is a team that has the confidence of conservatives. Should their scope of work be as voters were promised, conservatives can have confidence in their findings,” Kolodin told Arizona Daily Independent.

Fact check: Dominion attorneys did not try to stop Arizona ballot audit

fd8178d6ac2172e37d68795811499e70

McKenzie Sadeghi, USA TODAY

The claim: Dominion Voting Systems had 70 attorneys in Arizona trying to stop audit of 2020 ballots

Baseless voter fraud claims targeting Dominion Voting Systems resurfaced on social media after a group of Republicans in the Arizona Senate ordered an election audit of 2020 ballots from the state's largest county.

Republican legislators say the audit will address concerns raised by their constituents about the presidential election. However, election consultants say the audit results will be inaccurate and ruin the public's confidence in the U.S. election system.

As the unofficial hand recount of nearly 2.1 million ballots took place in Maricopa County, one user took to Facebook to claim a group of 70 lawyers representing Dominion attempted to stop the audit.

False allegations surrounding Dominion, a private company supplying voting systems in 28 states, are far from new. Dominion became the target of debunked conspiracy theories that the company rigged the election and stole votes from former President Donald Trump during the 2020 presidential election.

Dominion filed defamation lawsuits against prominent Trump allies, including Fox News, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, attorney Sidney Powell and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani for spreading the falsehoods without evidence.

"Dominion had 70 attorneys in Arizona today trying to stop the audit," reads an April 21 post with over 2,000 shares and 100 reactions. "If it was honest why would you care?" The text is displayed over an image of a fictional character.

USA TODAY reached out to the Facebook user for comment.

Fact check: What's true about the 2020 election, vote counting, Electoral College

Dominion confirms claim is false

A Dominion spokesperson confirmed to USA TODAY that it does not have a 70-person team of lawyers trying to stop the audit in Arizona.

"This claim is false. There is no seventy-person team of lawyers representing Dominion in Arizona." the spokesperson said in an emailed statement, adding that Dominion "has taken no legal action to stop the audit."

"Nevertheless, the company has made it clear that publicly available information on the firms chosen to conduct the audit show they are beyond biased and do not have any experience with elections-related work,” the spokesperson said.

The head firm hired by the Arizona Senate to oversee the recount is Cyber Ninjas, whose founder has previously used social media to promote baseless election fraud claims. Other firms on the audit team include CyFIR LLC, Digital Discovery and Wake Technology Services Inc.

Reports from local news outlets, which had reporters who signed up as volunteers to get access to the recount, make no mention of Dominion attorneys showing up to stop the audit, and the user provided no evidence to support the allegation.

Dominion notes on its site that "a thousand independent audits and recounts since Election Day in November 2020 have demonstrated the accuracy and reliability of Dominion systems."

Additionally, previous 2020 election audits conducted by Maricopa County and two independent firms found no issues with accuracy, source codes, equipment, software, and network and internet connectivity.

There are concerns about the audit regarding details on who is involved, who is paying and a lack of clear procedure and safeguards. The process started last week and a report will be issued in about 60 days, according to a March 31 press release from Arizona Senate Republicans.

USA TODAY has previously debunked false claims surrounding Dominion and voting in Arizona, finding the election was conducted fairly and the votes were counted accurately.

Fact check: Judge did not rule Dominion Voting Systems machines engineered to yield fraud

Our rating: False

The claim that Dominion had 70 lawyers in Arizona trying to stop the audit of 2020 election ballots is FALSE, based on our research. A spokesperson for Dominion confirmed it has taken no legal action to stop the audit and did not have a team of attorneys in Arizona. The audit, by a firm with a questionable reputation, is an effort by Arizona Senate Republicans to challenge the 2020 election results in Maricopa County. Previous independent audits found no evidence of widespread voter fraud.

‘Never heard of them’: Arizona GOP audit firm unknown even in home state

A successful ninja is unseen, unheard, stealthy.

By that standard, the firm Cyber Ninjas — which Arizona Republicans chose to audit the ballots cast in 2020 in the Phoenix area — fits the bill: Almost no one involved in election or politics in Florida, the state where the company is headquartered, seems to have heard of it or knows anything about it.

Nor do they know anything about Cyber Ninjas’ founder, Doug Logan, who registered his firm in the southwest Florida city of Sarasota in 2014, state records show.

“Doug Logan? Cyber Ninjas? No. I don’t know these guys. Never heard of them,” said Christian Ziegler, vice chair of the Republican Party of Florida and a resident of Sarasota, echoing a dozen top Florida Republicans and elections professionals interviewed by POLITICO.

The firm’s relative anonymity is a curious anomaly in Florida, one of the nation’s biggest battlegrounds, where top political players are typically familiar with companies that provide election services and technology.

In a state like Florida — a place synonymous with razor-close elections and recounts for more than two decades — Cyber Ninjas’ absence of name identification and its lack of experience in election audits among insiders stands out. And it calls into question Arizona Republicans’ claim that the company is right for the controversial job of auditing the 2.1 million ballots cast in Maricopa County, which encompasses the Phoenix metro area. The 2020 presidential results there have drawn national attention as a result of baseless claims of election fraud.

The Cyber Ninjas website does not indicate it has experience in election audits but instead markets itself to clients who want to be protected from hackers.

“While it often seems like [hackers] must be utilizing some dark ninja magic to accomplish their amazing feats; the reality is that most security breaches are conducted utilizing types of security vulnerabilities we’ve known how to prevent for over 10 years,” says the website, which features stock photos of ninjas and people at generic business meetings.

The Cyber Ninjas-led audit is being pushed by the GOP-led Arizona Senate — leading dubious Arizona Democrats to refer to it as a “fraudit.” It’s being largely conducted out of the view of reporters or independent observers. Cyber Ninjas asked a judge to keep the procedures of the process secret and also wanted to bar the press and public from the courtroom Monday for a hearing on the subject.

The so-called audit is one of the last dying gasps of Donald Trump’s supporters who continue to cling to the fiction that widespread fraud cost him the presidency in 2020. That conspiracy theory was advanced on the social media accounts of Cyber Ninjas and Logan himself before the posts were stricken.

The new audit will not change the 2020 election results in the state or nation, but it stands to further fuel claims of fraud in the Arizona election results.

In recent days, Trump has repeatedly hyped up the review in written statements that have also attacked Arizona Republican Gov. Doug Ducey, whom the former president hasn’t forgiven for his refusal to call the state’s election results into question. Official results reported Trump lost the state by just over 10,000 votes.

The state has been an obsession for Trump ever since Election Night when Fox News was first to project that Joe Biden would win the once-red state — a result in sync with pre-election polling that showed Biden with a narrow lead.

Maricopa County, which is controlled by a majority-GOP board of supervisors, released a forensic audit in February showing no irregularities were found.

Nevertheless, the GOP-controlled Arizona state Senate subpoenaed the ballots to do another review and hired four private firms to conduct the “audit,” which began Friday. Cyber Ninjas leads the team.

“These guys are well qualified, well experienced," Arizona Senate President Karen Fann said of Cyber Ninjas, according to the Arizona Republic.

If the firm or Doug Logan gained that experience in Florida, it’s news to top Republicans there.

“I don’t know if I’ve ever stumbled across him or the company,” said Republican consultant Jamie Miller, a former state GOP executive director who lives in Sarasota.

“I’ve never heard of it,” said Republican Rep. Vern Buchanan, who first won his office in a squeaker of an election in 2006 marred by touchscreen voting machine problems. The state went on to ban the voting machines as a result of the congressional election.

Ben Gibson, a Republican attorney who represented Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in Florida’s 2018 senatorial and gubernatorial recounts, also hadn’t heard of Cyber Ninjas until now. Same with the top Florida Republican consultants Roger Stone, Ryan Tyson and Anthony Pedicini.

Top Republican election law attorneys Tim Baker and Dan Nordby also told Politico that Cyber Ninjas rings no bells. Florida’s top Democratic election law attorney, Mark Herron, said he only heard of the company when Rachel Maddow mentioned the name on her MSNBC show.

Barry Richard, who represented George W. Bush in Florida’s famed 2000 presidential election recount, and J.C. Planas, a former Republican lawyer and veteran of recounts, also knew nothing of the company.

Logan did not return calls or an email for comment. It’s unclear why his firm was chosen for the job.

According to the independent Arizona Mirror, Logan authored a document, bristling with conspiracy theories surrounding voting machine companies, that was posted on the website of lawyer Sidney Powell. She is now being sued by those voting machine companies, Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic, along with a host of other Trump supporters for defamation.

The Arizona Republic also found social media posts from Logan and Cyber Ninjas that call into question their impartiality.

"The parallels between the statistical analysis of Venezuela and this year's election are astonishing," Logan wrote on Twitter in December, before deleting his account, according to the Republic.

In a statement issued to local press in Arizona, Dominion criticized Cyber Ninjas as a partisan audit.

“The firms selected to conduct this audit are beyond biased,” the statement said. “Publicly available information shows they are led by conspiracy theorists and QAnon supporters who have helped spread the Big Lie. Dominion supports all forensic audits conducted by independent, federally accredited Voting System Test Labs — but this is not that. Over a thousand independent audits and recounts have taken place across the country since Election Day, and they all demonstrated the accuracy and reliability of our voting systems.”

In Florida, a few GOP insiders couldn’t help but chuckle at the Cyber Ninjas name or its low-production-values website.

“They’re ninjas,” said David “DJ” Johnson, former Florida GOP executive director. “When they snap their fingers, they just disappear. They need to get a special stone to do it, the absentee ballot stone. Once they have that stone, they can just fade into the wind.”

Shabs and caddieman would have prefered if the company doing the audit had come in with the idea that there was no fraud. Then they would be comfortable with the audit. Anything else in their mind is unjust and conspiracy. But you have to ask, why are the Rats panties ALL in a wad. If they are ABSOLUTELY SURE there was NO election fraud, then welcome ANY recount/examination of the ballets. Then when no fraud is proven they can CROW long and loud about how bad the Repubs really are and the whole world can witness it. But when you paper windows, keep Repub poll watchers either out of the buildings or so far away they cannot see anything, then perhaps you have a problem of credibility (image that Rats with credibility issue). Who would of thunk it!!!

The Useful Idiots walk around in the dark and allow the fake news media to feed them lies.  They actually prefer being lied to.  These articles is all media spin so they can say the audit wasn't done correctly.

Fortunately for the American people, everything is being documented by the cameras in the room, unlike the original count.

I can't speak for Caddie, and neither should you....That said, I would prefer the auditors have only one agenda, that being a fair election audit.  These people seem to have an agenda to prove fraud, therefore they're biased.  You can spin it however you want, but at the end of the day Biden beat Trump by 7 million votes nationwide, impossible to fake those numbers fr8dawg.  And if you think they are fake, then let them audit every state, including those won by Trump.

First of all, that video of Trump and the HillDawgs email comment was a joke. An attempt at humor on Trumps part, but to the diehard liberals they have NO sense of humor and the whole country knows that.

I challenge you Shabs to find ANYONE in this country that doesn not come down on one side or the other about election fraud. And if you believe that Joke won by 7million votes you need to seek advice about your severe case of TDS. In 6 states alone there was enough voter fraud to equal more than 7 million vote differential. And YES, I agree with you, let's recount in an open and tranparent way for the whole world to view ALL of the states. YOU WILL NOT LIKE THE OUTCOME OF THAT IDEA!!!
