No....I don't trust him at all, never have....but his fans certainly do, they bought into everything he was selling from the time he rode down the escalator....they apparently draw the line at needles though.....Who knew?

No Shabs you got gene therapy, not a vaccine. If it was a vaccine and it worked you would not need to social distance and continue to wear a mask. Completely new therapy. Now the clock is ticking as to are there any long term irreversible side effects. Time will tell. That is the root of the hesitation of many people who refuse to adapt the herd mentality.

Like I said before....those vaxxed will protect those who haven't.  It's not like everybody was going to get the vax anyway.

And with your so called vac, you can still contract covid. May or may not kill you, or may make the symptoms less, but does it make you still contagious?? It must or no need for social distancing and masks as per Hier Faucci's orders.

Jury is still out if you are contagious or not. They are doing studies now to try and find out. So out of abundance of caution they are asking everyone to still stay 6ft and mask until the studies come in. You know protect your fellow man and all.

Over 100 fully vaccinated people contract COVID-19 in Washington state, officials say

MORGAN WINSOR
Wed, March 31, 2021, 6:53 AM

Over 100 people in Washington state have tested positive for COVID-19 more than two weeks after becoming fully vaccinated against the disease, officials said.

The Washington State Department of Health is investigating reports of the so-called breakthrough cases, which it said are expected with any vaccine.

MORE: With older Americans largely vaccinated, more new COVID-19 cases among younger adults

Out of the 1.2 million people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Washington, epidemiologists have reported evidence of 102 breakthrough cases in 18 counties since Feb. 1, representing less than 0.01% of all fully vaccinated individuals in the northwestern U.S. state. Most cases were patients who experienced only mild symptoms, if any, according to a press release from the Washington State Department of Health.

However, at least eight people with breakthrough cases have been hospitalized. The Washington State Department of Health is also investigating two potential breakthrough cases where the individuals died. Both patients were over 80 years old and suffered from underlying health issues.

The Washington State Department of Health said further investigation will help identify patterns among the breakthrough cases, such as if a variant of the novel coronavirus may have caused the infection.

MORE: Vaccines likely effective against COVID-19 variants, study suggests

A breakthrough case is confirmed with a positive polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test or a positive antigen test in an individual more than two weeks after they have received their final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Washington State Department of Health.

"Finding evidence of vaccine breakthrough cases reminds us that, even if you have been vaccinated, you still need to wear a mask, practice socially distancing, and wash your hands to prevent spreading COVID-19 to others who have not been vaccinated," Dr. Umair Shah, Washington state's secretary of health, said in a statement Tuesday.

Large-scale clinical studies found that COVID-19 vaccines reduced the risk of contracting the disease in vaccinated individuals by up to 95%, compared with those who were not vaccinated. However, the vaccines are not 100% effective in preventing infection and thus a small percentage of breakthrough cases can be anticipated, according to the Washington State Department of Health.

"It is important to remember that every vaccine on the market right now prevents severe disease and death in most cases," Shah said. "People should still get vaccinated as soon as they are eligible, and encourage friends, loved ones, and co-workers to do the same."

MORE: Likely COVID-19 virus origin laid out by WHO, but concerns raised about report

More than 30.3 million people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the United States and over 550,000 of them have died, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

Washington state has registered at least 363,235 confirmed cases and 5,237 deaths. So far, more than 16% of the Evergreen State's population is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to Johns Hopkins data.

Six nations report more polio cases; Pakistan tops 90

Countries experiencing recent polio outbreaks saw no letup in activity, with Pakistan reporting five new wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) cases and four African nations, Pakistan, and the Philippines reporting more circulating vaccine-derives poliovirus type 2 (cVDPV2) cases, according to the latest update from the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI).

Also, the World Health Organization (WHO) posted new updates on cVDPV2 in Africa and Pakistan.

Pakistan grapples with WPV1, cVDPV2

Of the five new WPV1 cases reported from Pakistan, three were from different locations in Sindh province with the other two from separate cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.  Paralysis onsets ranged from Oct 9 to Oct 7. The country has now reported 91 WPV1 cases this year, a sharp increase from 2018's 12 cases.

Also, two new cVDPV2 cases were reported, both from the town of Kohistan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, bringing Pakistan's total for the year to 11. Patients' paralysis onsets were Oct 11 and Oct 27.

In a Nov 28 statement from the WHO on Pakistan's cVDPV2 outbreak, the group said the country's 11 cases were confirmed between Jul 7 and Nov 3 in children ranging in age from 8 to 66 months. The patients include four from the same district of Gigot-Baltistan province, six from three different cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and one from Islamabad.

cVDPV2 was also found in stool samples from contacts of two patients and from 16 healthy children from three different districts. In other sampling, the virus was found in seven environmental samples collected between Aug 21 and Oct 25 in Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Sindh provinces. Genetic sequencing showed that a Punjab province environmental sample collected in August is linked to an environmental samples collected in Gilgit-Baltistan province in August and September, indicating a cVDPV2 outbreak.

Further testing shows that cVDPV2 isolates from patients, contacts, and environmental samples have undergone 6 to 13 nucleotide changes, reflecting recent cVDPV2 emergence, the WHO said.

Pakistan reported its last cVDPV2 case in December 2016, which prompted a monovalent oral poliovirus type 2 vaccine (mOPV2) campaign targeting 2.96 million kids.  Inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV) was introduced in Pakistan in September 2015, but coverage has been suboptimal, ranging from 20% in 2015 to 75% in 2018.

A detailed field investigation is under way into Pakistan's latest cVDPV2 outbreak, and in the meanwhile, health officials launched an IPV campaign in September targeting 180,000 kids under 5, and the GPEI has helped Pakistan's health ministry launch a mOPV2 campaign that launched on Nov 13 in affected areas targeting 2.7 million children younger than 5.

The WHO said the risk of further spread within Pakistan is high, due to population movement and low population immunity against type 2 poliovirus. It added that detection of the strain underscores the importance of maintaining high levels of routine polio vaccine coverage.

cVDPV2 expands in Africa

In Africa, where an increasing number of countries are reporting cVDPV2 outbreaks, four counties reported new cases: the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Benin, Ghana, and Togo.

The DRC reported five new cases, three from the same city in Kwilu province and one from Kwango province. Paralysis onsets range from Sep 22 to Oct 7. The DRC, beset by other outbreaks including Ebola and measles, has now reported 50 cVDPV2 cases for the year, a dramatic increase from 20 reported in 2018.

Meanwhile, Benin reported four new cases, one each from Atacora, Borgou, Collines, and Donga provinces. Patients' paralysis onsets were between Sep 21 and Oct 15. The new cases push the country's total for the year to six, which are linked to an outbreak this year in Nigeria's Jigwa state.

In Ghana, health officials reported four new cVDPV2 cases, one each from Northern, Bono, Oti, and Savannah provinces. Paralysis onsets range from Oct 8 to Oct 23. The country has now registered nine cases this year, which like Benin are also linked to an outbreak this year in Nigeria's Jigwa state.

And finally, Togo reported two more cases, both from the same city in Savanes province. The patients' paralysis onsets were Oct 6 and Oct 16. The developments lift Togo's cVDPV2 total for the year to three, which are also linked to Nigeria's recent Jigwa state outbreak.

In a separate report, the WHO on Nov 29 posted an update on cVDPV2 in Africa. It said a cVDPV2  outbreak in Nigeria's Jigwa state continues to spread, with the virus detected in four countries (Cameroon, Ghana, Benin, and Niger) earlier this year, and now detected in three more countries: Chad, Togo, and Ivory Coast.

Regarding cVDPV2 in east and southern Africa, the WHO described the investigation into Zambia's first cVDPV2 outbreak, which stands at one case, though two community contacts have tested positive. It notes that routine IPV coverage in children under age 1 was estimated at 36% in 2018.

In its update the WHO also detailed recent vaccine campaign responses to the African outbreaks, which includes two mOPV2 immunization rounds in Chad and Togo with one more planned before the end of the year. In Zambia, mOPV2 vaccination is under way, with a second round to launch later this month.

The WHO warned that risk of further spread in Africa remains high, due to cross-border movements, immunity gaps, inadequate surveillance, and waning mucosal immunity type 2 polio.

Philippines total rises to six

Elsewhere, the GPEI report notes three more cVDPV2 cases in the Philippines. Two are from the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and one is from southern Mindanao. Paralysis onsets range from Sep 25 to Oct 2. Also, five environmental samples that were positive for the virus have been reported from Manila.

The polio outbreak, first reported in September, is the Philippines first since 2000.

100 positive cases out of 1.2 million vaccinated.....what am I missing here?  What are you attempting to say, fr8dawg?  Not one company has claimed to have 100% efficacy with their vaxxes.  Heck, the yearly flu shot doesn't keep people from getting the flu either, never has....it's designed to lesson the severity and help a person recover faster.  Are you not getting a shot because they're not 100% effective, you don't trust the government, or you believe a "New World Order" is attempting to cull the herd around the world....or all of the above?

This virus can be rendered ineffectual if everybody did their part.  Don't want to get a shot, fine, don't get one....simply mask up, wash your hands often and stay socially distanced from those who CAN'T get the vax because of an allergy or other health reason, so they can enjoy their capitalistic freedoms, as well.  A normal person shouldn't have to live like the bubble boy because other people refuse to do their part...seems simple enough to me.  Every person has a responsibility to everybody else in civil society.

Former Trump White House Aide Steve Bannon Still Airs MyPillow Guy’s Election Lies

WASHINGTON — As pillow magnate-cum-election conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell finds once-supportive media no longer interested in his views after a wave of defamation lawsuits, one outlet remains ready and willing to regularly broadcast his lies: Steve Bannon’s “War Room” show, which Lindell also happens to underwrite.

“Dominion was part of it,” Lindell claimed on Friday’s program, without evidence, accusing the voting machine manufacturer of working with China to rig the November election against former President Donald Trump. “If you work for Dominion and you were part of this crime against humanity, turn yourself in. Save yourself some jail time.”

Dominion Voting Systems has already sued Lindell, Fox News and others for as much as $1.6 billion each for spreading unfounded claims that the company was involved in a grand scheme to steal the election from Trump. One prominent lawsuit defendant, lawyer Sidney Powell, who in a bizarre news conference at the Republican National Committee headquarters managed to tie in dead Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chávez, argued in a recent court filing that she should not be held liable for her claims because no reasonable person could have believed them to be factual.

Dominion did not respond to HuffPost’s queries about Bannon’s program.

In a series of interviews with HuffPost, Lindell acknowledged that most media outlets have banned him from discussing the election or Dominion during his appearances.

“They tell me what I can and can’t say,” he said, blaming lawsuits filed by Dominion and another voting machine company, Smartmatic, which has also sued him. “They’re using lawsuits to suppress our free speech.”

Apart from Bannon’s show that appears on various websites and radio stations, Lindell said the pro-Trump One America News is the only place that allows him to talk about those topics. “It’s a great network,” he said.

Neither OAN President Charles Herring nor Bannon responded to queries regarding Lindell’s falsehoods.

From Flying Air Force 1 To Hawking Pillows

For Bannon, who just four years ago was a top White House adviser flying on Air Force 1 and implementing his own anti-immigrant, “nationalist” agenda just yards from the Oval Office, his descent to pillow and vitamin pitchman has been dramatic.

And as Bannon praises Lindell for his “courage” in not backing down on his election claims, of course, he is also lauding one of the few — and perhaps the only — financial backers of his production.

“We are very honored to be part of the MyPillow family. Go to mypillow.com today!” Bannon told his audience on Friday, as he has done every day of late.

The only other ad appearing on the show itself is for vitamins. “It is incumbent upon  every individual, every individual in our audience and in this nation to boost their own immune system,” Bannon says, pushing a “War Room”-branded starter pack that includes vitamin D3 and zinc tablets. “One of our focuses here is to make sure that not only do we have patriot warriors, but we have healthy patriot warriors.”

While Bannon is occasionally able to interrupt Lindell’s stream of debunked election fraud theories to ask what proof Lindell has, he does not challenge his benefactor when Lindell, rather than providing proof, instead repeats easily disproven lies about votes being “flipped” from Trump to Biden by the voting machines.

Eventually, Bannon transitions to complimenting Lindell’s pillows, sheets and other bedding accessories, and reminds his viewers and listeners to take advantage of the special “promo code” his show offers.

Pillow sales, in fact, are the entire point behind Lindell’s energetic promotion of his election lies, according to Dominion’s lawsuit. “Lindell ― a talented salesman and former professional card counter ― sells the lie to this day because the lie sells pillows,” states the complaint filed in federal court, pointing out Lindell’s previous willingness to make unfounded claims about the medical benefits of his pillows that he paid $1.1 million to settle.

Lindell, who prior to getting into the pillow business used to gamble for a living at casino blackjack tables, laughed at the idea he is hoping to make money from his election claims and said he has lost $65 million in sales already. “That’s the biggest lie in history, because I’ve lost 22 retailers because of cancel culture,” he told HuffPost.

“Boy, do you sell those pillows,” then-President Donald Trump praised MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell during a coronavirus briefing in the White House Rose Garden a year ago.

Sued For Defamation But Still Lying

Lindell has already produced a two-hour movie that purports to prove his election assertions, and plans to release another. He said he has information from “cyber” experts “who work inside the government” but refused to name them or say what agencies they work for. He said he will get all his information before the U.S. Supreme Court ― which he expects will “take down” the 2020 election result and put Trump back in office by August ― but refused to say how.

What’s more, Lindell said he is not at all concerned about Dominion’s lawsuit and that he has hired a legal team to countersue Dominion. “I’m going after them. They should be the ones who are worried,” he said.

While Bannon continues to give Lindell free rein to spread his election falsehoods, not even all his broadcast associates are willing to go along.

John Fredericks, the Virginia owner of the chain of radio stations that carries Bannon’s “War Room” program, said he refuses to have Lindell on his own show.

“I have nothing to do with Mike Lindell…. There’s a reason I don’t have him on. Because I have seen no evidence,” Fredericks said, adding that he does not believe his carriage of “War Room” makes him potentially liable for the statements made on Bannon’s program. “We’re running his show. He’s not an employee of the company.”

That legal theory might not work should Dominion choose to take action against Bannon and his partners, said Clay Calvert, a media law professor at the University of Florida.

“He owns the stations on which the allegations were made. By choosing to let Bannon broadcast, Fredericks adopts that show’s content as his own,” Calvert said. “It would be rather perverse if Fredericks could profit from Bannon’s show and then not claim any responsibility for it.”

Bannon himself seems unconcerned by the litigation. “Mike, God bless you. You’re a patriot and a warrior. You’re beloved by so many people in this country,” he told Lindell on Friday after giving him nearly 45 minutes to spread his false election claims. “I don’t have to tell you don’t stop fighting because I know you never will.”

It’s because it was eradicated people stopped getting vaccinated for it. The Polio virus was eradicated by vaccines. But there are many people who won’t get vaccinated for covid so no telling how long covid will be with us!

That is pure:bs: caddieman. Polio was GONE in this country until we opened our borders to illegals and lost control of who came here. We use to test migrants when they arrived and kept them on Ellis Island if they were infected until there were well. Today, SCREW IT, ya'll come on in, got a life threatening disease? NO PROBLEM come on anyway. The taxpayer and the US (legal citizen) will bear the brunt of Government's deranged policies. You illegals need not worry, just come. TB was eradicated here also. Now back, same story.

Got no idea where you’re getting your info. But I’d say it’s bad!

Because of widespread vaccination, polio was eliminated from the Western Hemisphere in 1994. In 2016, it continues to circulate in just Afghanistan and Pakistan, with occasional spread to neighboring countries. Vigorous vaccination programs are being conducted to eliminate these last pockets.  Polio vaccination is still recommended worldwide because of the risk of imported cases.
