yota691
China overtakes America to become the "largest" naval power in the world 2021-03-06 09:29 Shafaq News / An American intelligence report revealed that China has surpassed the United States in the number of naval vessels, to become the largest naval power in the world, after the acceleration of the building of warships in recent years. The US Naval Intelligence Office indicated in a report published by the American "CNN" network, today, Saturday, that by the end of 2020, China had about 360 offensive naval vessels, that is, more than 60 US naval vessels. "China, which already has the largest naval power in the world today, is building modern surface fighters, submarines, aircraft carriers, combat aircraft, amphibious assault ships, submarines for ballistic missiles, large coastguard breakers, and polar icebreakers, at an amazing, alarming speed," the report said. The report pointed out that some of those pieces will be equal to or better than any marine piece that the United States or other maritime powers could put in the water. Andrew Erickson, a professor at the Chinese Naval Studies Institute of the American War College, wrote in a research paper last February: "The Chinese plan is to not supply the Navy with scrap ships, but to increasingly sophisticated and capable parts." The report pointed out that while China will have about 400 ships by 2025, the goal of the current shipbuilding plan for the US Navy, a goal that has no specific date, is for a fleet of 355 ships, much less than the Chinese fleet. He said: "This does not mean that the US Navy is approaching the end of the first combat power in the world, as when the forces are counted, the US Navy is considered the largest because it has more than 330,000 personnel in active service compared to 250,000 in China." Meanwhile, the 50-piece U.S. attack submarine fleet is fully nuclear-powered, giving it significant endurance advantages over the Chinese fleet of only seven nuclear-powered submarines in its fleet of 62. The report said: "But the great advantage that the Chinese Navy has over the US Navy is in patrols and coastal combat pieces. These small ships are reinforced by the Chinese Coast Guard and maritime militias with a sufficient number of ships combined to double the total strength compared to the American force."
coorslite21
Not sure I agree here...... The most deadly war ships are the Nuclear subs.....hard to find.....go for ever....(NOKO has a large volume of 3 and 4 man subs) The US has 20 Carriers.....but a Carrier group could be taken out with one nuke..... And of course the Nukes.....China has about 350.......the US over 6000.....Russia even more..... A couple of visuals follow... gregp
My dad was part of the 20-man lead security on the Atomic and Hydrogen Bomb drops. He’s supposedly the last nuclear survivor. I’m not sure though. He said the Hydrogen Bomb was a mean dude. 3
