Pope Francis stressed, on Saturday, that terrorism exploits religion and uses it as a cover, and we must prevent this, noting that Muslims and Christians have worked together to lay the foundations for peace.
"Terrorism and violence do not come from religion, but terrorism exploits religion and takes it as a cover, and we must prevent that," the Pope said in his speech in the ancient city of Ur in Dhi Qar governorate and its follow-up "the information".

Why is the pope called the pontiff?
pontiff: Today, it's strictly accurate to call any Catholic bishop a pontiff, but the vast majority of Catholics reserve the word for the Bishop of Rome, otherwise known as the Pope. The word means "high priest," from a root meaning "bridge-maker."

Pontifex maximus
The pope (Latin: papa, from Greek: πάππας, romanized: pappas, "father"), also known as the supreme pontiff (Pontifex maximus) or the Roman pontiff (Romanus Pontifex), is the bishop of Rome, chief pastor of the worldwide Catholic Church, and head of state or sovereign of the Vatican City State.

What does pontiff mean in Latin?
pontiff (n.)

1600, "high priest," from French pontif (early 16c.), from Latin pontifex, title of a Roman high priest (see pontifex).

Pope Francis said during the mass of St. Joseph Cathedral in central Baghdad, attended by the Euphrates News correspondent, that "we cannot perform actions that exceed our capabilities."
He added, "He does not change the world by power or by force, and that we can ask ourselves how to act in front of difficult situations while we have two experiences (escape and experience)."
And Pope Francis added, "We can feel that we are unable to do anything and that there is no benefit for us .. We do not believe that because God works miracles, and we are exposed to trials."

The Pope cares about the world's poor. I'm not Catholic but I respect him. You know what helps the world's poor? Capitalism. Letting in foreign investment into places like Iraq. Trading currencies allows the flow of capital around the world, does more good in helping the world's poor, than anything else. The Pope has the right moral message, but the way to bring good morals in, the way to help the poor is to make the country rich. Iraq has unlimited potential. Let the world in, let the currency loose. We will make a lot of money, while helping the world's poor. There is no real conflict between the Pope's message and solid economics. The Pope has the moral goal. Capitalist economics has the method. :bagofmoney::flagsmiley::cheesehead::bananacamel::cisole::praying::angel:🕌🕋🕍
