The council’s media department stated that “the council completes the vote on the first amendment law (Order No. 30 of 2005 of the Federal Court Law submitted by the Legal Committee, after which Al-Halbousi praised the Speaker of the House of Representatives on the efforts of the Legal Committee and the ladies and gentlemen of the Council members in implementing the Federal Court Law."

He added, "The council voted to put forward the confidence in the head of the executive body of the Media and Communications Commission, Ali Al-Khuwailidi, and then Representative Basma Bassim read a statement in which she recalled the massacre in the new city of Mosul, in which a number of citizens were killed as a result of a mistake by the coalition forces, demanding justice and compensation for the families of the victims."

1- Referring the current members of the Federal Court appointed by a diwani order to retirement.
2- Nominating new federal court members who are first class judges by the Supreme Judicial Council, the Federal Court, the Court of Cassation, and the life of the public prosecution.
3- The new members, after they are agreed upon, take the constitutional oath before the President of the Republic, and a Republican decree is issued to appoint them. If it is not possible to appear before the President within 15 days, they take the constitutional oath before the House of Representatives, and a representative order is issued for them.
The House of Representatives voted in its session held today, Thursday, headed by Muhammad al-Halbousi, Speaker of the House, and in the presence of 204 deputies on Article 3 and a new article of the First Amendment Law (Order No. 30 of 2005) of the Federal Supreme Court Law.

Kanna praised the solidarity of civil forces, civil society, organizations, federations, and unions that stood with the amendment of the law and not the new legislation, and also thanked the representatives in solidarity with minorities and boycotted the sessions for not achieving a two-thirds majority.
