Allawi said, "We cannot proceed with economic development and put Iraq on a new economic path without addressing the problems," explaining that "the white paper focused on addressing 600 measures that occur in 60 specific packages within 3 to 5 years, and are applied to all major state joints from Ministries to bodies that require constant and continuous work. He pointed out that "it is not possible to fix a certain thing without knowing its impact on other sectors, as it is a complex network and the method of dismantling it on a regular basis needs specific timings."

Allawi stated that "the beginning of the current month, the financial flow from the increase in the price of oil will bring us back to the stability of salaries in the timing," stressing that "we are obliged in advance and there are no options and there is no trick.

Mubasher: The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Hassan Al-Kaabi, chaired today, Thursday, an expanded meeting on the conditions of Dhi Qar Governorate, in the presence of the governorate's deputies, the ministers of finance, planning, electricity, health, oil, agriculture, reconstruction, municipalities, labor, and the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers.

 

Al-Kaabi said, according to a statement issued by his media office, that the 2021 budget will not be voted on; If it does not include additional and sufficient financial allocations for Thi Qar and the poorest governorates.

Al-Kaabi added that the Dhi Qar Governorate Reconstruction Fund is an important basic requirement that will not be waived under any circumstances, and will be a first step for other governorates suffering from a lack of services and infrastructure.

The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives clarified that today's meeting did not come for political demands or purposes such as changing the position of governor or otherwise. Rather, to discuss ways to expedite the completion of delayed projects and solve the problems plaguing Dhi Qar Governorate.

Al-Kaabi instructed the deputies of Dhi Qar Governorate to communicate urgently with the people of the province and coordinate with the executive authorities to achieve the demands.
