Baghdad: Yasser Amer (INA) - The Parliamentary Finance Committee clarified the latest developments related to the draft general budget for 2021 before the voting session.

Committee rapporteur, Ahmad al-Saffar, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Saturday, that "the budget witnessed lengthy discussions and it was agreed to fix some contracts and there are changes in favor of young people as well as the presence of appointments for those with health professions."

Al-Saffar pointed out that "the budget deficit amounted to 28 trillion dinars, and that it will be financed and covered from abundance and according to the prices currently in the oil market," noting that "the budget did not include any new loans, but there is payment for the old ones."

He added that "the political blocs and the region’s delegation have agreed to include Article 11 in the budget, and its content is that the rate of oil production in the region, according to estimates of the Federal Ministry of Oil, is 460 thousand barrels per day, and the costs of production, operation, transportation, domestic consumption and petrodollars will be deducted, provided that no less than 250 thousand barrels of value will be delivered at a price." Market to the Iraqi government, in addition to 50% of non-oil revenues

I’d say historically this is an important weekend for Kuwait, Iraq and Iran..

The 2003 invasion happened on this date

Kuwait Revalued their currency around this day in the 90s

Its a holiday is Iraq this weekend

(My Shia friend texted me today) it’s also the Persian new year in Iran.

sounds like a good time to RV!!!!!!

Maybe the no vote today was planned? Maybe they already voted, papers are signed and they just want others to think that they didn’t vote? Who knows! 🤦🏻

Al-Gharabi: We will not allow the Kurds to choose what they want from provisions related to oil

3/21/2021

The representative of the citizen bloc, Mona Al-Gharabi, explained, today, Sunday, what happened regarding the Baghdad and Erbil agreement on the issue of oil exports and imports, pointing out that

the Kurds select what they want from oil-related items, but we will not allow that.

Al-Gharabi said in a statement to "Tigris", "We are determined to implement the constitution in the budget. The Kurdistan region cannot be allowed to select the terms of the agreements, and they have to commit to giving Baghdad the amount of oil that it determines " .

He added, "The point added by the Shiite political forces is to cut off the monthly funds that are delivered from Baghdad to Erbil in the event that Erbil refuses to deliver oil to Baghdad directly, and this is what the Kurdish forces rejected " .

She added that "the non-Kurdish political forces have an absolute majority in the House of Representatives and

are destined to pass the budget in the coming days by the political majority if the Kurdistan government insists on not implementing the agreements " .

The coming days means next week on the 27 means 7 days from now. A week isn't a long wait. Hopefully, the 27 will be the end of our ride and time to rejoice after a long long wait ( almost 18 years ).
