A scientific symposium entitled: Deleting zeros from the Iraqi currency (implications - future repercussions)

 

Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University (Prof. Waad Mahmoud Raouf) and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics (Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Hamad Hussein), the Economics Department is holding a scientific symposium entitled ( Deleting Zeros from the Iraqi Currency (Effects - Future Implications) ) on Tuesday Corresponding to 3/2/2021 at exactly ten o'clock in the morning at Prof. Muhammad Bida.

The invitation is general to all

All gentlemen in attendance must abide by all

I guess this is just someone opinion, but i still want to read the article. By the way, where was the article that mentioned about deleting zeros from iraq currency? Did the article still in an arabic language that noone couldn't translate it into english language? Did someone see the article? Cause i didn't see it.

Under the patronage of the President of Tikrit University, Prof. Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Hamad Hussein, the Economics Department held a scientific symposium entitled (Deleting Zeros from the Iraqi Currency (Effects - Future Implications).

In light of the chronic economic conditions and inflationary pressures afflicting the Iraqi economy, which caused imbalances and negative effects on most indicators and macroeconomic variables, as well as the distortions that affected various activities and sectors, which negatively affected the nature of the prevailing economic relations, which resulted in the existence of a multi-zero and low-value monetary block This is not commensurate with the essence and context of economic and social developments. Therefore, voices have appeared calling for the need to take financial and monetary measures to avoid the difficulty of the situation through the intervention of the Central Bank in order to try to reform the monetary currency management system by restructuring it and deleting zeros from it to counter inflation and activate the purchasing power of the Iraqi dinar. However, this project has sparked a wide debate between those who reject and support its approval and according to the justifications of each party. Based on that, this symposium came to provide answers and explanations according to principles based on a scientific methodology that shows the negatives and benefits in the event that the project is approved and implemented with a review of the Turkish experience in this field.

The symposium included three axes,
the first axis, the conceptual framework for deleting zeros and targeting inflation by Assistant Professor Dr. Makhaif Jasim Hamad, and the second axis, the Turkish experience in applying the elimination of zeros by Dr. Yusra Salem Nayef
. The third and last axis was about the implications of applying the policy of deleting zeros from the Iraqi currency by Assistant Lecturer Noaman Munther Yunus.

debate? this is going to take a long time for them to approve deleting 3 zeros. i wonder how many more years do you think they need to agree on one thing, no more long and boring debate and wasting time.
