All these fund raising scam and charities typically only 5-10% ever get to the intended purpose the rest goes so salaries and expenses of said fund raisers or charities!!! She is a POS period count on it, so follow the money and post it afterwards and I will retract my statements about this POS bet you will ever be able to find this money dispersed to Texans or a very very small percentage!! 1 1

As I understand her she totally believes everything she says and thus in her mind she thinks she is a good person. However, I also understand that it was "Green Energy" that created the problems in Texas. Something AOC supports and seems incapable of understanding the problem. Even if her actions are unintentional that makes her dangerous. 2 1

Though I commend her actions for volunteering and fund raising for Texans hurting during this tragedy, at the end of the day, she's still a politician.....And the fact that Beto gave Cruz all he wanted in their head to head election battle, it's apparent Texas has some progressive blue ripples rising...and I'm sure AOC found it a good opportunity to push that rising effort. And with the way Ted Cruz decided to handle the same tragedy for his own people, I imagine AOC opened a lot of eyes in the lone star state. As always, just my opinion. Shabibilicious
Ted Cruz passed out water, BBQ in Texas this weekend. AOC raised $5 million for Texans. Peter Weber Sun, February 21, 2021, 11:56 PM Instead of returning from a beach vacation to Mexico this weekend, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and some photographers helped distribute bottled water Saturday to Texans who still don't have potable water a week after an unusually long and frigid winter storm ground the state to a halt. On Sunday, Cruz posted photos of himself slicing brisket and posing with uniformed law enforcement officers, for Houston firefighters and other first responders. While Cruz was out in the suddenly warm Houston sunshine — and enduring even more mockery for his short-lived Cancun getaway, this time on SNL — Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was continuing to raise money for Texans and, on Saturday, distributing food at the Houston Food Bank with Reps. Sylvia Garcia (D-Texas) and Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas). On Sunday night, she reported that her fundraising effort, launched Thursday, hit the $5 million mark. The funds AOC raised will go to food banks around Texas, Feeding Texas, Family Eldercare, and the Bridge Homeless Recovery Center, and other nonprofits, Houston Public Media reports. Cruz had some helpful information for Texans, too, via the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Along with the warm weather melting the snow, Texans mostly have their power back — all but about 18,000 Sunday night, down from more than 4 million last week — and water service is coming back online, often with orders to boil it before drinking. At least 32 people Texans died from the storm, including an 11-year-old boy in Conroe, Christian Pavon, who was found dead of suspected hypothermia after two nights in an uninsulated trailer with his family. https://www.yahoo.com/news/ted-cruz-passed-water-bbq-045600273.html In the spirit of fairness, it should be noted Sen Cruz took responsibility for his Cancun decision as well as volunteered his time in the relief effort over the weekend, as shown in the above article. TinBadge
Food banks are great but maybe use your money raising powers to pay the people’s insane power bills see how carbon credits are more important the the people.

coorslite21
Just to be clear....the politics of socialism that AOC and Sanders push....... go against all of my political beliefs...... Yet they are the product of the "anti establishment" DC government ... AOC was elected by those fed up with the establishment...similar in scope to Trump, and how he came to be elected.... Joe Crowley was the 9 term democrat establishment Congressman from the 14th district in NY. Joe was a guarantee to win his primary in 2018 and a favorite to be seated as the Speaker of the House if the Democrats took back the House in 2018...... Crowley, the establishment favorite, lost to a disruptor......AOC... AOC is just a kid with a dream of making a difference....misguided by her environment as well as the left pushing educational system....some call her dumb....but she was smart enough to get elected..... She is someone's daughter.....sister.....grand kid....friend....treasures that we all share in this country......her views just differ from mine/ours...... It will not surprise me to see her move more to the center.....she really isn't stupid......just young... JMO. CL
coorslite21
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) criticized President Biden's administration on Tuesday for opening a migrant facility for children. "This is not okay, never has been okay, never will be okay - no matter the administration or party," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
