Mubasher: The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Council for Energy .

The meeting discussed, according to a statement issued by the media office of the Prime Minister, the ongoing preparations for securing electric power and providing it to citizens during the next summer season, in addition to a number of topics on the agenda.

Al-Kazemi stressed the need to make every effort to increase the production of electric energy, meet the needs of citizens and reduce the hours of interruption.

The Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Electricity to continue with the required maintenance procedures for the production stations and transformers, and to overcome all obstacles that may affect the provision of electric power requirements .
