Using a squashed globe for a map is contradicting. No one has actually surveyed a flat earth. 

No pictures of a flat earth from space. Not even an attempt. 

If a firmament is there explain meteors smashing into the earth but rockets can't escape.

I find it interesting that if you took a flat earth map and wrapped it around a balloon, the perimeter ice wall would come together at the bottom and form Antarctica.

Thats because they use a Globe, flatten it out and then say that it is a FE map. The Gleason map is one such map.
