MLD— Actually, I started this thread and I'm pretty much the expert as to the subject matter.

If you look at the beginning of this thread you will see that I was originally AGAINST talking about the flat earth. But @bigwave made a good point that I agreed with so that became the main direction. 

 

Nevertheless, the thread clearly states the direction it’s meant to go. And since "religion" is arguably the greatest misdirection of all time it fits perfectly with a thread about lies. 

 

Please don't be upset about a discussion because it's uncomfortable. Even if you feel personally attacked. That's not anyone's intention. 

 

This thread was always intended to create vigorous debate about touchy subjects.

So, I was talking to my college roommate (1970's) last nite.  We used to have 'get drunk while playing cards' every Wednesday night with a group of friends.  She is going through health issues right now and is down.  I said we just need to get drunk.  She said she would love that but all the meds she takes prevent her from drinking.

 

I do have a point.  As a Christian now, I have been drunk in the Holy Spirit many times in meetings where the Spirit moved - think Rodney Howard Brown.  I remember one meeting I walked in late (hospitality worker) and he saw me and yelled 'fire' and I fell under the power.  It was amazing.  Pure love flowed through my body.  You can imagine how the service took off after that - such joy.  Ain't no party like a Holy Ghost party!!!

 

We all need a dose of the Holy Ghost.

Perspective can be a fickle thing. The V2 pic is a very tight picture. Even close up a curve can look not curved.

A long shot such as the bottom "today" picture shows more of the curve. Also the earth surface has changed alot in 80 years. More people, more surface lights more industries.
