The Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, confirmed that victory over ISIS was achieved through Iraqi efforts and sacrifices and the help of friends around the world.

Al-Kazemi said in a speech from Fallujah, with the security and military leaders and a group of heroes of our security forces, according to a statement by his media office: “On this day, O heroes ... your arms, your faith and your Iraqi national roots have won victory over the dark ISIS organization.

He added, "The victory over ISIS is not just a military victory, but rather the victory of civilization in the face of backwardness, progress against reaction, humanity in front of brutality, a single, united Iraq in front of division."

He continued: “All our fighters, officers and ranks, in the army, the Federal Police, the Counter-Terrorism Service, the Popular Mobilization and the Peshmerga, and everyone who fought this terrorist organization forged the Victory Medal and presented it to the people of Iraq with their sacrifices and heroism.”

He added: “Listen, guys, the victory is Iraqi .. the blood that was shed for the sake of honor and the land is Iraqi .. the sacrifices that were made Iraqi .. Yes, we helped friends around the world, but victory was achieved through Iraqi efforts and sacrifices, and we finally won.”

He pointed out, that these areas here are Fallujah, Khaldiyah and Anbar, ISIS tried to kidnap them from Iraq..but Iraq does not accept division, and Iraq is the most oppressive ... and Iraq is a dignity, adding that ISIS tried to offend the dignity of Iraqis, and found heroes and coffers who taught humanity the meaning of national dignity. .

He concluded his speech by saying: “Congratulations to you of victory .. and blessed to the Iraqis that they have heroes like you .. You are the hope of Iraq and its guards .. God bless you .. Mercy for our righteous martyrs.”

Mubasher: The General Secretariat of the Iraqi Council of Ministers announced the suspension of official working hours today, Thursday, December 10, 2020.

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers said, in a statement, that the official working hours were suspended; It comes on the occasion of the third anniversary of the liberation of Iraq from the gangs of the terrorist organization ISIS (Victory Day).

On December 9, 2017, the Iraqi Prime Minister announced that the entire island of Nineveh and Anbar would be cleared of the remnants of the ISIS terrorist organization, and that it would fully control along the Iraqi-Syrian border.

And the Iraqi forces announced , in mid-November 2017, the fall of the caliphate of the Islamic State "ISIS" after it had regained the border town of Rawa, the last town under the organization's control inside Iraq.

The Iraqi Council of Ministers decided to declare December 10 of Kam an official holiday in celebration of Victory Day.

The ministry's statement stated that "the Central Committee to support the Popular Mobilization Forces and the security forces in the Ministry of Oil, which depends for its funding on donations from the Ministry's employees, has organized dozens of different events and activities, through which it has honored thousands of families and wounded heroes in all governorates of Iraq."
