Newt Gingrich: 2020 Election May Be ‘Biggest Presidential Theft’ Since 1824

Hannah Bleau28 Nov 2020
newt gingrich AP/Alex Brandon

2:06

Newt Gingrich believes the 2020 election may be the “biggest presidential theft” since 1824 and is urging state legislatures to “demand recounts.”

“The more data comes out on vote anomalies that clearly are not legitimate the more it looks like 2020 may be the biggest Presidential theft since Adams and Clay robbed Andrew Jackson in 1824,” the former House speaker said in a Friday tweet:

On Saturday morning, Gingrich encouraged Republican state legislators to read an analysis from Patrick Basham, founding Director of the Democracy Institute and senior fellow of the Cato Institute. Basham lists ten “peculiarities” which he believes lack “compelling explanations,” including swing states halting their ballot counts on election night and removing observers, statistically abnormal vote counts, and “historically low absentee ballot rejection rates.”

“Basham makes clear the election was almost certainly stolen in 5 states. Every Americanm [sic] should be worried by the theft,” he added:

President Trump and his team have vowed to press on in their fight for election integrity despite the critics. His team outlined their case in a press conference last week, which Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis framed as their “opening statement.” During the presser, Trump’s lawyers —  well as Sidney Powell, who is not part of Trump’s formal team —  presented highlights in building their respective cases, as Breitbart News detailed. Rudy Giuliani detailed affidavits alleging nefarious behavior and blasted the media for continuing to claim that the campaign has not presented evidence.

“It’s your job to read these things and not falsely report that there’s no evidence. Do you know how many affidavits we have in the Michigan case? Two hundred twenty affidavits,” he said.

“They’re not all public, but eight of them are,” he added.

Trump’s lawyers are expected to participate in a hearing on election integrity with Arizona legislators on Monday, Ellis announced on Friday:

Trump Needs to Shine the Light on Election Fraud

Capitulating to threats and accusations will teach the Left a dangerous lesson.

Sign up for the American Mind Newsletter

Welcome, and thanks for subscribing to the Roundup, where you'll receive our summary of The American Mind every week in your inbox. We're looking forward to bringing you the best writing and commentary on the ideas that drive the debate in this pivotal time for our nation.

Trump needs to have overwhelming evidence of election fraud, and he needs to bring that evidence to light in very public hearings. Without such evidence, his claims won’t be taken seriously enough—by the press or a sufficient number of the electorate—to ensure a peaceful transition to a second term.

The rush job to affirm Biden as president-elect by the media and the Democrat Party is not constitutionally required, and indeed smacks of a kind of desperation to avoid scrutiny. Contrary to their claims, Trump’s thorough investigation of potential large-scale election fraud is fully in accord with the Constitution. As the one in whom executive power is vested, he has the constitutional obligation to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed,” and that includes laws designed to ensure that voting is not fraudulent.

But even if Trump doesn’t manage to uncover sufficient evidence of election fraud, we need to understand the deeper philosophical reasons why the Democrat Party operatives would use fraud to win this election. This is important because it makes clear both why suspicion is warranted, and how deep that suspicion should be.

I set aside the obvious significant examples of voter fraud in the Democratic political machines of Tammany Hall and Mayor Daley. We need to focus on more recent history.

A great swath of the Left has been directly or indirectly influenced by the tactics of Saul Alinsky, the leftist rabble rouser so influential in Hillarious Clinton’s and Barak Obama’s lives and hence in almost two generations of work and thought by Democrat strategists.

Alinsky’s direct advice was to demonize the opposition. In his Rules for Radicals (1971), Alinsky bluntly stated, “Before men can act an issue must be polarized. Men will act when they are convinced that their cause is 100 per cent on the side of the angels and that the opposition is 100 per cent on the side of the devil.”

Thus, for Alinsky, the revolutionary elite had to demonize the opposition as a matter of strategy. No good qualities of the opposition could therefore be admitted. They needed to be portrayed to one’s revolutionary base as the equivalent of Hitler and his Nazis (Alinsky’s actual example).

The bad effect on our republic is two-fold.

First, Democrat Party operatives on the national and local level who truly believe that they are fighting the equivalent of Nazis will also believe that they are morally justified in doing anything to destroy them, including participate in voter fraud—just as one should have done anything, fair or foul, to defeat Hitler in World War II. (Again, Alinsky’s example.)

Faced with Hitler (or what one has been goaded into believing is Hitler’s equivalent), a person can in good conscience use the most Machiavellian tactics to bring about righteous victory, including election fraud. (And yes, Alinsky offers his praise of Machiavelli in this very context about what means are allowable. The answer: any, for the desired end.)

Second, if one’s base believes that those who oppose voter fraud and advocate investigating it really are the equivalent of Nazis, then they will either believe fraud is justified or dismiss any evidence of fraud as itself fraudulent.

What that means, in our current political context, is that a significant number of dedicated partisans on the Left don’t see election fraud as a problem. They either view it in almost heroic terms because Trump/Hitler must be defeated at any and all costs, or they attribute the charge of fraud to the irredeemable character of Trump and anyone who would stoop so low as to support him.

In this first group are not only the Democrat operatives in a position to carry out fraud, but those (mostly young) voters who are particularly susceptible to the kind of demonizing Alinskyite rhetoric against Trump that continually gushes forth on social media. These younger voters have been thoroughly shaped by their digital environment and persuaded “that the opposition is 100 per cent on the side of the devil.” Given this belief that they are literally in a state of war with the devil, they are convinced that “force and fraud…are cardinal virtues” (to quote Machiavelli’s disciple, Thomas Hobbes).

This is very dangerous. It isn’t just fraud that threatens this election, but the threat of force—in terms of riots—if there is any other result than Trump’s defeat. And if the head Nazi goes down, then all his followers must be scouted out and dealt with by a “Truth and Reconciliation Commission”—so we’ve been warned by the most ardent on the Left.

But that isn’t the whole Left, and certainly does not represent the millions of decent people who cast their votes for Biden and believe that elections should be free and fair. For Trump to win, he must reach these people, and convince them with overwhelming and very public evidence, soberly presented, that there was significant election fraud— more than enough to illegally swing the election toward Biden, and more than enough to present a deep danger to all future presidential elections. He must avoid losing Americans’ confidence by showing that he is indeed making clear progress toward a constitutional resolution of the election.

FBI asks Voter Integrity Project for findings on possible illegal ballots, group's leader says

Voter Integrity Project leader Matt Braynard said Sunday the FBI is asking him for findings from the initiative related to possible illegal ballots in the 2020 election.

Braynard, who was formerly a strategist and data chief for the Trump campaign, has helped lead efforts to try to determine whether widespread voter fraud occurred and impacted the outcome of the election, in which major media outlets have declared Democrat Joe Biden the winner.

"The @FBI has proactively and directly requested from me the VIP findings that indicates illegal ballots," Braynard said in a tweet. "By Tuesday, we will have delivered to the agency all of our data, including names, addresses, phone numbers, etc," he said.

Another Twitter post on Sunday,  by former Kansas Attorney General Phillip Kline, who serves as director of the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, indicated that an FBI agent from the Los Angeles field office had contacted Braynard.

"The Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society retained Matt Braynard and his team after Election Day to develop data analysis to cultivate as evidence to support election integrity lawsuits in the battleground states," Kline tweeted. "We've learned that Mr. Braynard was contacted by FBI Special Agent Young Oh of the FBI Los Angeles Field Office seeking our data. Mr. Braynard is cooperating with this request and we fully support him. This data has been used to identify hundreds of thousands of potentially fraudulent ballots in states where we filed litigation. More about this data will be made available in Matt Braynard's appearance before a meeting with legislators in Arizona tomorrow."

Data expert: Vote tabulation feeds in PA, GA show 'anomalies' suggesting Trump missing votes

Vote tabulation data in various battleground states contain “anomalies” with massive swings toward Joe Biden that suggest missing ballots for President Trump, according to data expert Justin Hart, who helped raise millions of dollars for Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign.

Trump has retweeted charts from Hart questioning vote tabulations, including retweeting Hart’s calculation showing that Trump would have had to lose votes in Pennsylvania if the real-time, individual, timed stamped entries from The New York Times were accurate. Hart said his analysis was used in a Pennsylvania legislative hearing Wednesday with numerous witnesses alleging voter fraud and voter irregularities.

“You know what's even MORE suspicious than BIG vote dumps giving Biden the lead in WI and MI? Taking AWAY votes from @realDonaldTrump in Pennsylvania!,” Hart tweeted Nov. 20 in a tweet that Trump retweeted on Tuesday. “This chart: the 25 data dumps where Trump LOST votes from the Dominion feeds. 97,676 votes LOST! And Biden GAINED 160K+ votes!”

Tweet URL

“There's a lot of anomalies in that data,” Hart said in an interview with Just the News. “And then I think the real evidence though is in the pure volume, when you have a big batch that comes in at like 96%, for Biden, it's unclear where they would find enough precincts that would have that many votes.”

While the Times released percentage changes and did not release raw vote numbers, Hart said his analysis of Pennsylvania was based on the percentage change that would have had to have occurred to have that level of swing toward Biden and away from Trump, which would yield votes lost for the president if the tally was accurate.

Pennsylvania has been ground zero for questions about voter fraud, with a state judge in Pennsylvania on Friday announced she was upholding her earlier injunction against the state's certification of 2020 election results, stating that plaintiffs have “viable claim” that state mail-in ballot rule was illegal. The state Suprem Court later overturned her ruling.

In Georgia, Hart said he spotted a similar trend, with Trump appearing to lose votes rather than simply seeing his lead shrink or Biden surpass his share of the electorate.

Tweet URL

“I have no idea if fraud was involved,” Hart tweeted. “There is no audit of what happens between all of the dashboards we watch and when the voters votes. It's an opaque black box. But between misplaced votes, thumb drives and algorithms smelling to high heaven - I want more sunlight please.”

Hart said the high prevalence of Dominion Voting Systems is a red flag for him in terms of how many steps that must take place to reduce user error when tabulating votes. Dominion has repeatedly stated there were no problems with its machines during the Nov. 3 election.

“When you go look at, for example, the training videos on Dominion, you realize how quickly all this can go south,” Hart told Just the News. “There's so much room for user error. And I've worked in enterprise workflows before—both in healthcare and startups and in government, when I was working for different political entities--and one of the things you quickly realize is when you have a workflow or a flow that someone needs to follow, is remove as much user input as needed. Because otherwise there’s just going to be mistakes, and there's so much room for awfulness there that it just blows the mind. And every IT person is just cringing when they look at these videos.”

Hart said the Dominion training videos, for example, shows that when votes are tallied and they're ready to be added together, “you go to the shared drive and you select the files that you want to use, and then you upload them, be sure to check this file—so much room for user error, let alone the fraud applications, it's just a lot of room for error."

In his analysis of Wisconsin, two days after the election, Hart noticed another questionable trend, tweeting out that “49K people voted for a Republican House candidate down ballot but DID NOT vote for Trump. Meanwhile, 64K people voted for Biden and did NOT vote for a Democrat house candidate. Also, 14,952 people DID NOT vote for a house candidate and just voted for Prez. Ok.”

Tweet URL

Hart told Just the News he was doubtful that Trump would be able to successfully fight his legal challenges across multiple battleground states, but he said at the least he hopes the investigation continues to find the truth and also prevent any future elections from being riddled with questions about ballot integrity.

“I make clear that the real issue is the opaqueness of the entire endeavor,” Hart said in a Wednesday tweet. “I would love to be proven wrong about the fraud... but the entire pipeline in between votes and dashboard is dark and smelly frankly.”

Pennsylvania judge says plaintiffs have 'viable claim' that state mail-in ballot rule was illegal

A state judge in Pennsylvania is upholding her earlier injunction against the state's certification of the 2020 election results, stating that a lawsuit alleging the unconstitutionality of a state ballot rule is "likel[y] to succeed" on its own merits.

In the ruling Friday nights , Judge Patricia McCullough stipulated that her earlier temporary injunction against the state's elecion certification process was valid and should be enforced.

The lawsuit on which McCullough made the initial injunction argued that the Pennsylvania legislature's Act 77, passed last year,  "contravene[d] the requirements of the Pennsylvania Constitution." That act, the petitioners claimed, constituted "an attempt by the legislature to fundamentally overhaul the Pennsylvania voting system and permit universal, no-excuse, mail-in voting absent any constitutional authority," as McCullough summarized the petitioners' argument in her Friday ruling.

The petitioners, McCullough writes in the ruling, "appear to have established a likelihood to succeed on the merits because Petitioners have asserted the Constitution does not provide a mechanism for the legislature to allow for expansion of absentee voting without a constitutional amendment."

The Pennsylvania Department of State's office on Tuesday announced that it had certified the presidential and vice presidential election results in Pennsylvania, though McCullough in her ruling noted that there were numerous steps to be taken to officially finalize that certification in state records.

"[T]he emergency preliminary injunction was properly issued," the ruling states, "and should be upheld pending an expedited emergency evidentiary hearing."

Sen. Paul Calls Out 'Anomalies in Vote Counts,' Big Tech

rand paul exults during a media scrum

Count Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., as an election "statistical anomaly" skeptic and one wary of big tech censorship of conservative voices.

Paul noted President Donald Trump's "margin of 'defeat'" was covered by overnight "data dumps" in four key battleground states.

Paul tweeted:

"Interesting . . . Trump margin of “defeat” in 4 states occurred in 4 data dumps between 1:34-6:31 AM. Statistical anomaly? Fraud? Look at the evidence and decide for yourself.(That is, if Big Tech allows u to read this) Anomalies in Vote Counts; https://votepatternanalysis.substack.com/p/voting-anomalies-2020"

On cue, Twitter slapped a "this claim about election fraud is disputed."

Twitter has been using that to reject Republican attempts to contest the presidential election results amid evidence of illegal votes, including from those who are deceased, unconstitutional election law changes forced by courts and Democrat officials against the will of the state legislatures, and questions about election voting systems.

The voting anamolies outlined by the report linked to by Paul are:

  • "An update in Michigan listed as of 6:31AM Eastern Time on November 4th, 2020, which shows 141,258 votes for Joe Biden and 5,968 votes for Donald Trump
  • An update in Wisconsin listed as 3:42AM Central Time on November 4th, 2020, which shows 143,379 votes for Joe Biden and 25,163 votes for Donald Trump
  • A vote update in Georgia listed at 1:34AM Eastern Time on November 4th, 2020, which shows 136,155 votes for Joe Biden and 29,115 votes for Donald Trump
  • An update in Michigan listed as of 3:50AM Eastern Time on November 4th, 2020, which shows 54,497 votes for Joe Biden and 4,718 votes for Donald Trump"

According to the data study:

"In particular, we are able to quantify the extent of compliance with this property and discover that, of the 8,954 vote updates used in the analysis, these four decisive updates were the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 7th most anomalous updates in the entire data set. Not only does each of these vote updates not follow the generally observed pattern, but the anomalous behavior of these updates is particularly extreme. That is, these vote updates are outliers of the outliers."

PROOF: Democrat Operatives Paid Native Americans to Vote in Nevada With Gift Cards

1-755-600x344.jpg

The Nevada Native Vote Project used gift cards to bribe Native Americans to vote.

Any monetary exchange for votes, whether partisan or not, is illegal.

In a series of now-deleted social media posts, archives of which have been obtained by The Gateway Pundit, the Nevada Native Vote Project is seen clearly exchanging gift cards in exchange for people’s ballots.

The group cannot claim that they were providing gas to go vote, as they were exchanging ballots for the gift cards right there.

A lawsuit filed by Jesse Binall on behalf of the Trump campaign and Nevada electors states that “at least one of the social media videos in which NNVP promoted the voting drives and the incentives depicted NNVP personnel wearing a ‘Biden-Harris’ face covering and standing in front of a van bearing a ‘Biden-Harris’ logo and openly encouraged people to vote for Joseph Biden.”

4-59.jpg

These events were hosted and promoted by the Nevada Democratic Party.

4-61-600x409.jpg

The Gateway Pundit also obtained video from inside a polling place with voters, where they were given items for voting.

The same woman offering giveaways in that video was also featured in Biden mask at a Biden bus, on the official social media page for the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony on October 20.

In another video for the “Get Out the Vote with the Biden” campaign video, she offered up free burgers and swag — including cookies featuring Biden stickers.

4-55.jpg

She was also featured in a video discussing the Native Vote Project directly outside of a polling location, once again holding up the gift cards.

The lawsuit continues on to assert that “offering something of value to a voter in exchange for his/her vote is a violation of Federal and Nevada law. All such votes cast in exchange for the above described incentives are, therefore, illegal and improper votes. The evidence will show that there were no less than 500 of these illegal and improper votes.”

“These illegal or improper votes cast and counted are in an amount sufficient to raise reasonable doubt as to the outcome of the Election,” the lawsuit asserts.

“The fact that the voting drives were officially promoted by NNVP organizing personnel displaying ‘Biden-Harris’ promotional material and logos reflects that value was being offered to voters under these circumstances in an effort to manipulate or alter the outcome of the Election,” it reads.

The organization was not particularly discreet about their activities and giveaways, heavily promoting them on social media like they are untouchable.

The Nevada Indian Commission, a state agency, also repeatedly helped to promote the scheme.

The organization also gave away laptops, expensive speakers, iPads, and other electronics — which they referred to as “incentives.”

I only looked at part of the first "red flag" (presumably the most important one) of attachment 14.  It doesn't claim anything actually happened, only that it is possible that if you can get access to the system and swap out a chip you can alter votes.  Well duh!  Getting access to any computer system can allow it to be altered.  But no evidence is offered that it DID happen, and (at least in georgia the hand recount verifies that it did not happen.  We'll see what happens in court.

The head of CISA who has spent the past 3 years hardening security on all sorts of critical computer system around the country including for elections says nothing happened, so naturally Trump (who hired him) fired him for speaking truth to power.   So now he's part of the conspiracy, and the governors and secretaries of state and election commissioners and all the election workers and the judges across these states (democrat and republican) are all part of the conspiracy.  Trump now is suggesting the DOJ and FBI are in on it too.     You are following a delusional madman.

There in lies the problem.  All the people who voted for Trump believe the election was stolen.  If it easy so easy to dismiss all of these allegations like you just did and easy to prove that it didn't happen, why does the left stone wall and reject all of the claims without offering any proof it didn't happen?  It would be easy to allow the Trump Campaign access to all of the evidence and data to prove nothing happened, but instead the left stonewall and say the claims are baseless, which adds to our distrust.

If Joe Biden wants to reconcile everyone to each other, why not let Trump's Team access to the voting machines and ballots?  Otherwise, without any evidence being produced nothing happened Trump's supported will always believe that the election was stolen.

I think polls (if you believe them) say its 60-70%, which is alarming enough.

"proof that it didn't happen"?  What sort of such proof would satisfy you?  Given that in Georgia the hand recount matched the machine count then to switch votes you would have to

1) make this chip swap on many vote marking machines, getting past the locks and security seals without leaving any trace

2) Have 10's of thousands of Trump voters not notice that the big black dot on the top of the ballot is next to Biden not Trump

3) Restore the vote marking machines to the original state after the voting is over again getting past locks and seals in an untraceable manner so post election analysis will not find anything.

Is that really remotely reasonable?  If you accept that all that could have happened, how is it possible to prove to you that it did not?

Quote

It would be easy to allow the Trump Campaign access to all of the evidence and data to prove nothing happened, but instead the left stonewall and say the claims are baseless, which adds to our distrust.

Most of the claims have been dismissed in court as they either do not actually charge what they claim on social media (since they have no evidence) or for lack of evidence.  As I have said repeatedly court is where there are consequences for not telling the truth.  And in that forum these claims whither away.   Trump and his campaign have lied egregiously and repeatedly about this (as evidenced in not winning in court) yet now you want the country to trust them to resolve this?  We have the courts and law enforcement agencies for that.  If sufficient evidence of wrong doing can be presented to warrant an investigation I would be fine with those agencies conducting such, but so far no such evidence has been offered.  Again the first claim in attachment 14 was only stated that if you can get physical access to a computer you can alter it, this doesn't even claim anything along these lines actually happened.

Quote

If Joe Biden wants to reconcile everyone to each other, why not let Trump's Team access to the voting machines and ballots?  Otherwise, without any evidence being produced nothing happened Trump's supported will always believe that the election was stolen.

I agree that is a problem but I doubt doing as you suggest is a solution.  A hand recount in Michigan was I think close to $8 million, Trump declined to pay.  Let's assume the Trump org does such a recount and finds nothing.  Then the story will be "it wasn't the real ballots".  Where does it end?

Georgia did a hand recount and inspected (a random sample of)  their machines and found nothing wrong, do you accept the Georgia result?  Trump need will since his view is disconnected from reality.  In Trumpworld he has never failed or made a single mistake in his entire life (these are his words not mine).

Look at what happened with Krebs.  Trump appoints him as head of CISA (to secure vital computer systems around the country) but when he says the vote was clean Trump fires him.  Social media is not "truth".

One good thing that should come out of this mess is a set of uniform rules at least as the federal offices are concerned.

There may be a few CRACKS in the system that Trump supporters have brought up that could happen.

There are two things that are sacred in our elections . first every legitimate vote must count and your vote is SECRET.  That means once an individual  ballot   is entered it does not contain any thing that can trace it back to a specific voter!  So you cant invalidate a block of ballots unless it can be proved that ALL of them are invalid. Under present rules that is impossible.

As it stands by our Constitution Trump is OUT as of Jan 20 at noon . If biden is not confirmed,  It falls 0n the legislature to provide a temporary executive until a new election.  This process has never been thought thru completely. IT would be UGLY. Neither party wants to go thru that.

One good thing that should come out of this mess is a set of uniform rules at least as the federal offices are concerned.

The constitution leaves the mechanics of voting up to the states.  But that does not mean they can not adopt common rules.  This was one of the things the CISA (that now fired Krebs was the director of) was helping states to do at least wrt security.  The CISA's work to secure critical computer infrastructure (power plans, utility distribution networks, air traffic control, and election systems) is really a good thing for which they have not gotten enough credit.

Interestingly the constitution is also silent on the need for a secret ballot and such was not widely adopted the US until around 1890 I think.

Personally I'd like to see us universally move to rank choice voting, and computer drawn districts to end gerrymandering (where the database used by the district drawing program only contains the location of a household so that no other criteria maybe be used to draw the district) .   I think both major parties are against both of those so they will have to go in via ballot measures but that did happen for RCV in both Maine and Alaska.

Clarification: There are two news :reading-newspaper:terms floating around now, that sound similar, but are not. They are about very different things:

1-Release the Kraken....refers to releasing evidence implicating Democrats in massive voter fraud

2-Release the Krackhead...refers to the movement to give Hunter Biden a pardon
