Yes Iraq - Baghdad

A while ago this year 2020, the Iraqi government began a journey to invest oil and gas reserves in Anbar Governorate, which is equivalent to a third of the country's area, and which remained far from the government's plans for decades without exploring the size of the proven reserves.

The current indicators show positive results about what is happening in the exploration operations in Anbar, as the Iraqis know that this province floats on seas of oil, which flows automatically in many areas, and also includes the crutch field, which is the largest gas fields in Iraq.

The Akkas field, which sits in the middle of the Anbar desert surrounding the city of Qaim, and close to the Iraqi-Syrian border, has an estimated reserves of 6 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, and it was discovered in 1981 before oil was discovered in the same field in 1983 and in huge quantities, whose estimates range between One billion, billion and a half billion barrels.

Iraq is racing against time to develop gas resources to stop its dependence on Iranian supplies. Last September, the largest project to invest in gas associated with oil production from the Basra fields was launched to contribute in this regard.

- 2,500 km of new oil and gas space!

On this, Aziz Khalaf Al-Tarmouz, the advisor to the Anbar Governor for Energy Affairs, confirmed, Sunday, November 22, 2020, that the seismic band confirmed the presence of oil and gas fields on an area of approximately 2,500 km in its first work in the areas of southern Rawa district, west of Anbar.

Al-Tarmouz said, in a press statement, monitored by Yass Iraq, that “the seismic squad first started conducting surveys and exploration of oil and gas fields on an area of about 2,500 km south of Rawa district, west of Anbar, against the background that the targeted areas contain oil and gas fields. It is among the areas that were recently explored, after making sure that similar fields exist in the desert of Al-Rutba district, west of Anbar.

He added, "Conducting the survey by the seismic team will allow the employment of dozens of unemployed engineers within the required specializations within that group."

Al-Tarmouz explained, "The squad carries out its work tasks without recording any hindrance to the division's cadres, who number about 300 employees in the Ministry of Oil," noting that "the squad has prepared a plan that includes procedures for surveying, drilling and other stages."

How much gas does Iraq import?

The country currently imports about one billion cubic feet of Iranian gas per day, most of which goes to electricity generation, in addition to 1,300 megawatts of electricity. However, the pace of development of gas and electricity production suggests that Iranian supplies will soon be abandoned.

And the local government announced in the news during last October / October 2020 the discovery of more than a thousand billion cubic meters of gas in 7 regions of western Anbar province, in a step that may encourage foreign companies to invest in these areas.

Exploration and exploration operations were resumed in the governorate again after the stability of the security situation there, and the new quantities of gas discovered were found in the areas of Risha, Rutbah, Abu Shamat, the 160 kilo, and Wadi al-Nukhaib, west of the governorate, amid indications that their investment will contribute to providing job opportunities and developing the gas industry in a manner comparable to what is It is found in developed countries in this industry.

Anbar province, which is located in the west of the country, has a number of oil and gas regions that date back to the eighties of the last century, but the idea of keeping them within the state’s reserve stock remained until the US invasion of Iraq, before the province’s most prominent field, a crutch field for investment, was offered and won its contract. Korean Kokaz Company and started investing in it.

I wouldn't put to much importance on this announcement. They have found mutiple huge gas and oil deposits in the last 17 years. It will not have any effect on the RV getting here any quicker. Maybe, just maybe,  the amount of the amount the RV will affected. But I believe that has already been settled as well

This post you wrote " go $1:1 ". However i am curious why you didn't write " go $1:1 " in your previous and previous post? You aren't confident it isn't going to rv at 1:1 in your previous post.

rvmydinar, thanks for your input.

I have always been a believer of $1:1

Why?
- easiest transition to the Iraqi citizens

- easiest way to Dedollarize the country

- cheapest to rebuild the country

- real purchasing power

Go RV

Go $1:1

cash in 3 months? just assume  if dinar investors can exchange dinar for dollars in all banks ( not only 1 bank ) in the us, like bank of amerika, citibank, etc , do you think 3 month period is enough time to exchange dinar for dollars for all dinar investors in the us only? wow can you imagine how crowded people will queue in line  just to exchange dinar for dollars in the bank everyday for 3 month exchange period? is there a possibility or second option that dinar investors can exchange dinar for golds instead of dollars, just in case the dollar cash reserves aren't enough to cover for rv?

i am just curious if someone open a checking or saving account in warka bank in iraq in dinars. then when the rv comes, how does that person want to exchange dinar for dollars? does someone have to fly and go to warka bank in iraq to exchange dinar for dollars and handcarry a lot of suitcases full of dollar on the plane? or can that person just call the warka bank reps to do a wire transfer for his dollars from warka bank in iraq directly through the bank of amerika in the us instead of handcarry them on the plane? which way is more convenient and safe to exchange dinar for dollars if someone has a checking or saving account in warka bank in dinars??

Thanks for your input rvmydinar,

Because I’m outside iraq, I only care about the international value of the

dinar. I don’t have a Warka Bank account.

Go RV

Go international

Go $1:1
