Joe Biden has won Georgia, according to The Associated Press. The AP held off on calling the race for more than two weeks after Election Day because of the tight margin and as the state undertook a herculean effort to recount millions of votes.

Shortly before the AP called the race, Georgia election officials released a report on the hand tally recount of the presidential election, affirming that Biden maintains his lead in the state.

The AP called Biden the winner of the presidential race on Nov. 7.

The full hand recount of the state's 5 million presidential votes resulted in a narrowing of Biden's lead over President Trump in Georgia, but not nearly enough to change the result. He now leads by just over 12,000 votes.

The recount, formally known as a risk-limiting audit, is intended to verify the contest's winner. As Georgia Public Broadcasting's Stephen Fowler reported, four counties uncovered a few thousand previously uncounted votes, which subsequently cut into Biden's margin of victory.

Douglas, Walton, Fayette and Floyd counties all experienced issues with missing or unscanned votes related to human error — but the numbers weren't significant enough to change the outcome of the election.

There is no mandatory recount law in Georgia, but state law does allow for a recount if the margin is less than .5%. It currently stands at .2%.

Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced the hand audit last week, citing the close margin of the race.

The four counties with new vote totals must recertify their results. Statewide election results must be certified by Friday. The Trump campaign then has until Tuesday to request an additional recount, which would be by machine rather than by hand.

Trump has repeatedly questioned the integrity of Georgia's vote counting, calling it both a "joke" and a process that led to "fraudulent votes" being found.

But Gabriel Sterling, Georgia's voting system implementation manager, said on Wednesday that the system is working exactly the way it is intended.

"The irony of [Trump] saying 'fraudulent votes have been found' — he has gained in the finding of these votes," he said.

Raffensperger has said he's been pressured by top Republicans to find ways of disqualifying ballots that hurt the Trump campaign.

"They say that as pressure builds, it reveals your character, it doesn't change your character. Some people aren't behaving too well with seeing where the results are," Raffensperger told NPR's Ari Shapiro on Tuesday.

"At the end of the day, I want voters to understand that when they cast their ballot in Georgia, it will be accurately counted. You may not like the results and I get that. I understand how contentious it is. But you can then respect the results."

Meaningless because why, there was no fraud found, or there was no vote switching. Or no dead people voting? Please tell why you think it’s meaningless?

That's why the evil Democratic Communist party was so transparent in allowing Republicans to witness the recount. It's disgusting how low some people will sink to just to get their way. People like that make me vomit.

Georgia experienced major problems with its voting processes during a primary election earlier in June. People waited in line up to eight hours to cast ballots, and poll workers struggled with new machines on which they hadn’t been trained due to the pandemic. What do Georgia’s election issues mean for other state primaries -- and for American democracy more broadly? Miles O’Brien reports.

Georgia officials certify election results showing Biden win

ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia’s governor and top elections official on Friday certified results showing Joe Biden won the presidential race over Republican President Donald Trump, bringing the state one step closer to wrapping up an election fraught with unfounded accusations of fraud by Trump and his supporters.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger certified results reported by the state’s 159 counties that show Biden with 2.47 million votes, President Donald Trump with 2.46 million votes and Libertarian Jo Jorgensen with 62,138. That leaves Biden leading by a margin of 12,670 votes, or 0.25%.

Later Friday, Gov. Brian Kemp certified the state’s slate of 16 presidential electors. In an announcement streamed online, Kemp did not clearly endorse the results. Instead he said the law requires him to “formalize the certification, which paves the way for the Trump campaign to pursue other legal options and a separate recount if they choose.”

The Republican governor hasn’t stepped forward to defend the integrity of this year’s elections amid attacks by Trump and other members of his own party, who claim without evidence that the presidential vote in Georgia was tainted by fraud. Kemp has neither endorsed Trump’s fraud claims nor backed Raffensperger, a fellow Republican, in his assertion that the election was conducted fairly.

Trump’s endorsement two years ago helped Kemp win a heated Republican primary and eke out a narrow general election victory over Democrat Stacey Abrams. Even after losing the White House, Trump is expected to remain a powerful influence with GOP voters in the upcoming Senate runoffs in Georgia as well as in 2022, when Kemp will have to seek reelection.

The counties’ results were affirmed by a hand count of the 5 million ballots cast in the race, according to results released by the secretary of state’s office. The tally resulted from an audit required by a new state law and wasn’t in response to any suspected problems with the state’s results or an official recount request. Raffensperger said the hand tally confirmed Biden’s victory.

Kemp said Friday that he was concerned that the audit looked only at ballots, not the signatures on the absentee ballot applications or absentee ballot envelopes.

“As a former Secretary of State, he is the first to know and confirm that a signature is matched twice prior to an absentee ballot being counted,” Deputy Secretary of State Jordan Fuchs said in a statement.

In fact, the signatures on absentee ballot applications and envelopes are required to be checked when they are received. The audit is only meant to ensure that the voting machines counted the ballots correctly, Raffensperger’s office has said.

Two years ago, when he was secretary of state, Kemp pushed back forcefully against an outcry from Democrats who accused him of suppressing voter turnout to improve his odds of winning the gubernatorial election. At the time, he insisted that Georgia’s laws “prevent elections from being stolen from anyone.”

At a news conference at the state Capitol on Friday morning, before the results were certified, Raffensperger reiterated his confidence in the 2020 elections.

In new twist, Georgia governor urges audit of ballot envelop signatures to look for fraud

After certifying his state's election results, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp is now urging his state to conduct an audit comparing the signatures of voter applications and mail-in ballot envelops to those on the approved voter file to determine if fraud occurred.

Kemp, a Republican, made the appeal to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger during a news conference on Friday.

“It’s important to note that this audit only looked at ballots, not the signatures on the absentee applications or the signatures on the ballot envelopes," the governor said. "The Georgians I have heard from are extremely concerned about this, so I encourage Secretary Raffensperger to consider addressing these concerns. It seems simple enough to conduct a sample audit of signatures on the absentee ballot envelopes and compare those to the signatures on applications and on file at the Secretary of State’s Office."

The governor sharply criticized the failure of some county clerks after an audit of ballots found thousands that went uncounted.

"It is important for Georgians to know that the vast majority of local election workers did their job well under unprecedented circumstances, and I thank them for their service," he said. "However, it’s quite honestly hard to believe that during the audit, thousands of uncounted ballots were found weeks after a razor-thin outcome in a presidential election. This is simply unacceptable. I have heard directly from countless Georgians. They expect better, and they deserve better."

Kemp also rallied around emerging efforts to strengthen voter ID requirements in the aftermath of an election where the Trump campaign is disputing the results in a half dozen states, alleging fraud and misconduct.

“Voters casting their ballots in person must show photo ID, and we should consider applying that same standard to mail-in balloting," he said.

Kemp certified his state results Friday showing Joe Biden with a narrow victory but he noted the action, required by the Constitution, "paves the way for the Trump campaign to pursue other legal options and a separate recount if they choose."

SCOTUS: Conservative Justices Now Preside Over Every Circuit Court Key To Trump's Victory - National File

SCOTUS has confirmed new circuit assignments that result in conservative justices having jurisdiction over almost all states key to Trump’s victory.

Following the death of SCOTUS Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in September, President Trump appointed Amy Coney Barrett to replace her in the courts. With a new justice in SCOTUS, there also needed to be a reshuffle of the control of the circuit courts.

Each SCOTUS justice presides over one or more of America’s 13 court circuits as a circuit justice. As SCOTUSblog explains:

A circuit justice is primarily responsible for emergency requests (for example, an application to block an execution or to allow it to go forward) from the geographic area covered by his or her circuit, as well as more mundane matters, such as requests to extend filing deadlines. However, justices can and often do refer significant emergency requests to the full court – a role that has taken on increased importance in recent years with the sharp uptick in activity on the court’s “shadow docket.”

SCOTUS’s so-called “shadow docket” for the circuits is especially important in the cases relating to the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, where President Trump and his campaign team are contesting many of the early results in certain key states. Justice Alito granted such an emergency stay on the shadow docket relating to the election in Pennsylvania.

VIDEO: Pennsylvania State Rep Slams Dominion for Bailing on Hearings, “Why Are They Hiding from Us?”

With the late Justice Ginsburg having presided over the busy 2nd Circuit, which includes New York, Vermont and Connecticut, Sonia Sotomayor was tapped to replace her, after Justice Breyer had been serving as a stop-gap appointment. As a result, Sotomayor ceded the 6th and 10th Circuit to Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch respectively.

With Kavanaugh now in charge of the 6th Circuit, conservative justices now hold emergency jurisdiction over 4 of the 5 states key to President Trump’s victory.Kavanaugh’s new placement, which gives him jurisdiction over Michigan, is the only partisan switch. Pennsylvania and Georgia remain under the jurisdiction of Justices Alito and Thomas respectively, while Barrett has stepped into replacing Kavanaugh in the 7th Circuit, which includes Wisconsin.

The only disputed state that does not have a conservative justice in charge is Arizona, which falls under the famously liberal 9th Circuit, where Justice Kagan remains in charge.

Now you know why the Rep Senate crammed through Amy Coney Barrett.  They knew this was going to happened.  Dems might be in trouble if it is proven that 15 million dead people voted for Biden.  Haha.  How in the world did the Dems think they would get away with such a crime.  Probably because they have gotten away with so many other crimes the last four years.  Time to expose all their deceit, fraud, and criminal activities.

It is not a hand audit if you count the same tainted ballots.

It is just a rehash of the same crooked election night.   :facepalm2:

Every ballot prior to recount should have been verified authentic and then counted.

Trump lawyers tried this in court. It was thrown out. No evidence of tainted ballots. Now your just rehashing debunked conspiracy theory.
