Arar border crossing. "Internet"

 money and business

Economy News - Baghdad

The Independent Arabia newspaper confirmed that Iraq will turn into a transit station for Syrian goods to the Gulf countries after the opening of the Arar International Port.

Writer Mustafa Rostom said, "The Syrians' eyes turn to the Albu Kamal border crossing, which connects Syria to the east with Iraq, and through it, buses transporting Syrian goods enter and run along this axis, reaching the Arar crossing after its opening, finally, between Riyadh and Baghdad, following a break of three decades." .

He added that the Syrian street’s talk of positive repercussions for the opening of the Arar crossing coincided with the difficulties faced by Syrian trucks heading through the Jordanian Nassib border crossing .

He confirmed that information had been received from the Goods Transportation Office about "a clear delay of up to five days, with the payment of $ 1,500 for each truck, and with it the high costs of road transport increased ."

He noted that the road through the new crossing is ready and paved for increasing numbers of Syrian buses to the Gulf states, after Saudi Arabia allowed trucks to cross in last September after a break that lasted during the war years.

This exactly what is expected to happen with all the peace and trade deals going on. Iraq will be the HUB for the Middle-East and will be very wealthy. I may hold some IQD long term to benefit from this or find other investments👍
