Hey Fred,

Just ignore the "Utopian Princess" (Utah Rock), if you disagree with him/her/it on "any point" , suddenly you're character is flawed, you're a terrible person and then somewhere in his response he'll throw in a quote from God....as if he really cares. He's done the same to me and several of the most prominent "Patriots" on this site, we all just ignore him as he cries out for help.

As Synopsis so elegantly states it, consider it a "Badge of Honor" when he negatively sends you a response from his grease dripping whiny fingers as they cry over his keyboard trying to form a sensical response, which never happens, all he can respond with is Hate, Hate, Hate......but he loves his God!!

Now I may be wrong (probably not), but most Liberals in power today, along with their misinformed followers like " Utopian Princess"  and "Adam (little lying weasel) Schiff" we're the outcasts in school and beat up as kids. Now that they or one of their half-wit friends is in a position of power, they feel the need to enact revenge on anyone who disagrees with them. I feel like I'm back in elementary school when he responds with one of his girlie-man quotes, which is why I just ignore him/her/it.

It's just part of life, while we remain calm and the most popular, most athletic, most well respected "Patriots"  in our communities, getting the best looking & most popular girls while helping out the less fortunate, they'll continue to sniffle & drool about how unfair the world is while spewing their Mantra of Hate, Hate Hate to anyone who disagrees. :confused2:

Georgia discovers 2,600 previously uncounted votes in presidential recount

During the recount of votes in Georgia’s presidential race, more than 2,600 ballots were found in Floyd County that had not originally been counted. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, this will likely reduce President Trump’s 14,000-vote deficit to Joe Biden by about 800 net votes.

Apparently the county election officials didn’t upload votes in a ballot scanning machine, which the state’s voting system manager Gabriel Sterling called “an amazing blunder.” He said the county’s elections director should resign.

The uncounted votes were cast in person during early voting said Luke Martin, chairman of the Floyd County Republican Party.

“It’s very concerning,” Martin said. “But this doesn’t appear to be a widespread issue. I’m glad the audit revealed it, and it’s important that all votes are counted.”

California Republicans embrace ballot harvesting practice: 'Adapt or die'

President Trump and other Republicans have railed against ballot harvesting, but the California GOP is using the election tactic and says it helped flip seats on Nov. 3.

After losing a handful of House seats in the 2018 "Blue Wave" election cycle, the California GOP decided to embrace ballot harvesting – which involves a third party collecting ballots completed by voters and delivering them to election officials.

Some states restrict such deliveries to a voter's relatives or caretakers. In Arizona and North Carolina, it is a felony for anyone other than the voter to be in possession of the ballot. However, a 2016 California law changed the application of the practice for the West Coast state.

That decision appears to have provided valuable assistance to Republican candidates Michelle Steel and Young Kim, both of whom won their congressional races, respectively in California's 48th and 39th districts.

Shawn Steel, husband to the newly elected Michelle Steel, and member of California's Republican National Committee, said a majority of Republican political activists prefer to cast their ballots on Election Day, but amid the coronavirus pandemic "those days are over, they are gone."

"We have to adapt or die," Steel said. "We have a new environment and we just have to gin it up and play by the rules."

Many Republicans still oppose the practice, saying it is immensely susceptible to voter fraud. Just last week, senior Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller said "Democrat ballot harvesting is a massive concern in Georgia."

Isn’t it interesting that Obama is everywhere.  I know he has a new book to pimp but he is sounding like he won the Election.

Obama: The internet is “the single biggest threat to our democracy”

President Obama loved the internet. Now he has second thoughts.

Peter KafkaNov 16, 2020,  3:30pm EST

Back in 2008, Barack Obama famously harnessed the internet and social media to help win the White House. He kept up the embrace once he got there.

Now he worries that the internet and social media have helped create “the single biggest threat to our democracy.”

Obama has been saying a version of this for four years — since he left the White House — but his words are getting steadily more pointed. He’s clearly sounding an alarm, but it’s not exactly clear what he thinks we should do about it.

His latest critique comes in a new interview between Obama and Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg, and before we go any further we should put it in full context: Obama was discussing a media landscape dominated not just by Facebook but by Fox News that allows Americans to choose their own distorted reality. Which means, he says, we no longer have a shared set of facts.

That assessment is now conventional wisdom among many critics of the TV and internet ecosystem. There’s almost no practical, constructive argument about how we should respond to that problem. Obama doesn’t offer one in his interview, either.

And again, it’s incorrect to say that Obama is laying the problems of our broken information landscape solely at the feet of Facebook or any other particular tech company. But he is certainly lacing into them now in a way he didn’t do prior to leaving the White House.

Obama: Now you have a situation in which large swaths of the country genuinely believe that the Democratic Party is a front for a pedophile ring...I was talking to a volunteer who was going door-to-door in Philadelphia in low-income African American communities, and was getting questions about QAnon conspiracy theories.

Goldberg: Is this new malevolent information architecture bending the moral arc away from justice?

Obama: I think it is the single biggest threat to our democracy.

Later in the interview, Obama makes it quite clear that much of his concern is specifically about the internet — which he is also quite clear isn’t “going away” — and the big platforms that sort and distribute most of the internet for most people:

Obama: I don’t hold the tech companies entirely responsible, because this predates social media. It was already there. But social media has turbocharged it. I know most of these folks. I’ve talked to them about it. The degree to which these companies are insisting that they are more like a phone company than they are like The Atlantic, I do not think is tenable. They are making editorial choices, whether they’ve buried them in algorithms or not. The First Amendment doesn’t require private companies to provide a platform for any view that is out there. At the end of the day, we’re going to have to find a combination of government regulations and corporate practices that address this, because it’s going to get worse. If you can perpetrate crazy lies and conspiracy theories just with texts, imagine what you can do when you can make it look like you or me saying anything on video. We’re pretty close to that now...

Goldberg: It’s that famous Steve Bannon strategy: flood the zone with ****.

Obama: If we do not have the capacity to distinguish what’s true from what’s false, then by definition the marketplace of ideas doesn’t work. And by definition our democracy doesn’t work. We are entering into an epistemological crisis.

Obama’s criticisms of Fox News and the Rupert Murdoch empire predate his time in the White House. It continued once he was there.

During his eight-year tenure, though, Obama was quite welcoming to the tech industry, and vice versa: Obama stocked the White House with Silicon Valley veterans, and White House veterans later landed important jobs in Silicon Valley.

And Google executives in particular, starting with former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, had frequent meetings with White House staff. Near the end of Obama’s presidency, the Wall Street Journal reported that career regulators wanted to pursue antitrust charges against Google but were overruled by political appointees.

Obama certainly understood the power of social media, which helped him get into office. In the last days of the 2016 presidential campaign, Obama was reportedlyobsessed with a BuzzFeed story about Macedonian teens flooding Facebook with fake news.

But it wasn’t until after the election that Obama sounded off in public about “active misinformation” on Facebook and TV. Days later, he pulled Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg aside for a private plea “to take the threat of fake news and political disinformation seriously.”

And while Obama made a point of keeping a low profile during most of the Trump era, when he did surface, he would often take pains to spell out his criticisms of social media:

“I do think the large platforms — Google and Facebook being the most obvious, Twitter and others as well, are part of that ecosystem — have to have a conversation about their business model that recognizes they are a public good as well as a commercial enterprise,” he said at an MIT event in 2018. “We have to have a serious conversation about, what are the business models, the algorithms, the mechanisms, whereby we can create more of a common conversation. And that can not just be a commercially driven conversation.”

Obama was calling for a “serious conversation” about our information dystopia two years ago. Now he’s calling for “a combination of government regulations and corporate practices” to deal with it.

It is difficult to be optimistic that we’ll get there. It’s hard to see the federal government regulating big tech in a serious way, because Democrats and Republicans don’t have shared facts about the problem; Republicans, in fact, have elected a QAnon promoter to Congress. And Big Tech isn’t remotely comfortable regulating itself — it would rather have government regulate big tech. And it would be surprising if Joe Biden — who had little to say about tech during his presidential campaign — and Kamala Harris — a longtime ally of Silicon Valley — make it a focus in a pandemic presidency.

A modest suggestion: Barack Obama is still working on the second volume of his memoirs. This seems like a problem worth focusing on after that.

Obama Insanely Compares Trump to Dictators in 60 Minutes Interview

Obama Insanely Compares Trump to Dictators in 60 Minutes Interview

Former community organizer Barack Obama appeared on 60 Minutes last night to remind us just how lucky we were to have had him mostly refrain from public life the past four years.

Speaking of the Trump administration, he said “I think that there has been this sense over the last several years that literally anything goes and is justified in order to get power.”

“And that’s not unique to the United States,” Obama continued. He then tried to compare the Trump administration’s legal battles to the actions of dictators. “There are strong men and dictators around the world who think that ‘I can do anything to stay in power. I can kill people. I can throw them in jail. I can run phony elections. I can suppress journalists.’ But that’s not who we’re supposed to be.” Who knew there were so many dictators around the world filing legal motions and then accepting the results when the ruling doesn’t go their way?

“And one of the signals I think that Joe Biden needs to send to the world is that ‘No, those values that we preached, and we believed in, and subscribed in — we still believe,'” the former community organizer added.

This marks the second time Obama compared Trump to a dictator this month. Before the election Obama called Trump a “two-bit dictator” who “lies every single day.” So within two weeks we’ve “learned” from Obama that contesting suspicious election irregularities is dictatorial, and also that people get the choice to vote for dictators. Who knew?

It’s ironic that Obama also made reference to Trump’s criticism of the press – because all his criticism has been limited to just that, criticism. When it comes to Obama, his actions come far closer to the sort of “suppression” he described dictators taking part in.

The month before Trump took office, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist James Risen (not James Rosen) wrote in the New York Times that “If Donald J. Trump decides as president to throw a whistle-blower in jail for trying to talk to a reporter, or gets the F.B.I. to spy on a journalist, he will have one man to thank for bequeathing him such expansive power: Barack Obama.” Risen would know – as he fought efforts from the Department of Justice under both Obama and George W. Bush to compel him to identify sources from a 2006 book of his.

In 2012 Fox News’ James Rosen  (not James Risen) was labeled a “criminal co-conspirator” under the Espionage Act because he used a State Department contractor as a source for a story. At least five of Rosen’s phone lines were seized, and the FBI obtained a warrant to search his emails. The phone records of Rosen’s parents were also seized.

Obama’s self-described “most transparent” administration in history was objectively the least transparent. According to a report published during Obama’s last year in office, the administration set a record for rejections of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. The Obama administration either censored materials or rejected requests outright for access in a record 596,095 cases (77% of the time). In just his last year in office alone, the Obama administration spent $36.2 million in legal fees fighting FOIA related lawsuits.

If President Trump truly were dictatorial, he would’ve instead done something like have the FBI launch a secretive counterintelligence operation into the Biden campaign, that involved spying on various members of his campaign, and would continue in the event of a Biden victory as a “special counsel.”

Oh, wait.
