In US dollars, while the limits of the amounts transferred during one month will reach (2) million dinars or its equivalent in US dollars. In a statement, the Central Bank affirmed that banks issuing electronic cards and electronic payment service providers have adopted the service of financial transfers between electronic cards (from one card to another). The Central stipulated that the ceiling for the one-time transfer should not exceed 400 thousand dinars or its equivalent in US dollars, while the limits of the amounts transferred during one month will reach 2 million dinars or its equivalent in US dollars. On August 18, the Central Bank of Iraq called on all citizens to deal with banks and licensed financial intermediation companies during large cash exchanges, instead of hoarding in homes. The Governor of the Central Bank , Mustafa Ghaleb Al-Kitab, confirmed that a deliberate banking plan had been drawn up.
