A member of the committee, Abdul Hadi Al-Saadawi, told Shafaq News, "The Parliamentary Finance Committee will hold a meeting today, headed by the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hassan Al-Kaabi, to discuss the law on financing the fiscal deficit for the year 2020, before the law is presented on the parliament's agenda for the second reading. He added that "securing the salaries of employees and retirees is the task of the government and has nothing to do with the borrowing law currently in the parliament building," noting that "the government needs 18 trillion dinars to secure salaries for the last three months of the year 2020." Al-Saadawi added, "The oil and non-oil revenues for the three months are estimated at 16 trillion dinars, and what the government needs is only two trillion dinars to secure salaries, and therefore the parliament will not agree to the government request by the borrowing law, which is 41 trillion dinars, and approval means the bankruptcy of Iraq." https://shafaq.com/ar/اقتصـاد/تخوف-برلماني-من-افلاس-العراق 1
