However, for writing a beautiful samba, it is required a lot of sadness otherwise you can't do it.

Writing a samba is not telling a joke And those who write sambas like these aren't worth it

 

The good samba is a kind of prayer Because samba is the sadness that moves you

And the sadness always hopes

One day not being sad anymore.

 

Add some love to a pace And you shall see

that nobody in the world can beat The beauty contained in a samba

 

Because the samba was born there in Bahia

And if today it's white regarding its poetry

It's too black in its heart.

In Salvador da Bahia, the black heart of Brazil (almost 90% are black and mulatto) there's the Dique do Tororo'  aka the lake of Orishas...I saw it....Interesting indeed
