Baghdad / Al-Akhbariya

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Eng. Hala Zawati, announced today, Thursday, that the Kingdom's imports of Iraqi oil during the month of September amounted to about 253.6 thousand barrels, at a rate of 8560 barrels per day.

In a press statement, Zawati said, "The (Corona) pandemic forced the emptying of Iraqi tanks into the Jordanian tanks in the free zone between the two countries through the exchange of cargo, and 857 Jordanian tankers participated in the process during last September."

It indicated that "the total quantities of Iraqi crude oil supplied to the Kingdom from the end of August 2019 until the end of September 2020 amounted to about 2,958 million barrels, with a daily average of 7545 barrels, transported by 11,152 Iraqi and Jordanian tankers loaded from the site (the Chinese / Baiji station) to the refinery site / Zarqa ".

The process of importing Iraqi crude oil comes in implementation of the memorandum of understanding for the supply of crude oil signed between the government of the Republic of Iraq and the government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on February 2, 2019.

Researcher: The rate of participation in early elections will not exceed 5% in the event that the parties' authority remains and will inevitably be rigged

Baghdad - news

The researcher on Iraqi affairs, Iyad Al-Anaz, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the rate of participation in early elections will not exceed 5%, and it will inevitably be falsified if the authority of the ruling parties and political blocs remains at the levers of the state.

Al-Anaz, in a statement to Al-Akhbariya, said that "there is a political scheme to weaken the Iraqi social fabric," stressing that "Iraq needs a real political leader who sacrifices for the sake of the people."

He added, "The political scene is confusing, and the reason for this is the weakness of the leaderships that have taken over the affairs of the country since 2003 until today," stressing that "the Iraqi street is looking for a civil state dominated by order, not chaos."

"The real change is being made by the Iraqi people alone, not the current political class," the researcher on Iraqi affairs emphasized, noting that "the ruling class has foreign loyalties and fears for its interests and works to satisfy its masters outside the country's borders."

With regard to the early elections called for by the government, he pointed out that "the participation rate in it will not exceed 5%, especially with the survival and control of the parties and political blocs themselves on the joints of the state, in addition to that it will inevitably be visited."

For his part, the former head of the electoral administration in the Electoral Commission, Miqdad Al-Sharifi, said that the distribution of electoral districts according to political moods leads to chaos in the next parliament, while he called for providing a budget to complete the biometric cards.

WILL THE YEAR 2021 WITNESS AN INCREASE IN OIL PRICES?

57bce42a0403a.jpg

Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Oil suggested that crude oil prices are stable in the global market at a ceiling of 42-41 dollars a barrel during the last quarter of this year. It is expected that prices will jump to 45 dollars a barrel for the first quarter of next year.

"The total rate of Iraqi crude oil exports for the current month of October is still stable at a ceiling of two million and 600 thousand barrels per day, and it will continue at this level," the ministry said in a press statement followed by Al-Naba news agency.

He added, "The government estimated the price of $ 42 per barrel of oil in the draft federal budget for 2021, according to the economic data of the global oil market and the implications of the Corona virus on the activity of industrialized countries and its effect on the volume of demand and the price of a barrel in the global market."

The ministry renewed its position on adhering to the determinants of the decisions of oil-exporting countries / OPEC and its allies to reduce crude oil production. Iraq has achieved the full reduction percentage established within Iraq's share of the total reduction.

It is noteworthy that the OPEC alliance, which includes members of the organization, and countries from outside it, most notably Russia, on March 13th, reached a unanimous agreement to reduce oil production, described as the largest reduction of its kind in the history of global crude production.

Political Analyst: There Is A Circumvention Of The Will Of The Masses By Passing The Election Law

On October 11, 2020

He explained that "the blocs that the people were witness to falsifying the results of the last elections are seeking to preserve what they have achieved and more during the upcoming elections."

Legal Expert: Election Laws Are Behind The Flaw In The Political Process After 2003

On October 11, 2020

The Independent .. Legal expert Dr. Bashar Al-Hattab said that the defect that has plagued the entire political process since 2003 bears the bulk of the election laws, "they are the medicine if it is advisable to use it and the performance if his statement is neglected."

Al-Hattab indicated in a statement to (Al-Mustaqilla) that when the constitution addresses the aspirations and aspirations of the people, the election law represents the means to choose who seeks to achieve it on the ground ...

He added that the blessed sacrifices of the October Revolution contributed to drawing a new map to divide the multiple electoral districts, expressing the sincerity of the parliamentary representation that has been absent for many years, especially in Nineveh Governorate, which had the largest share of marginalization and absenteeism.

He explained that some of the proposals in distributing electoral districts took a "dangerous curve," and others were "more realistic" trying to preserve the rights of the province amid this diaspora and division.

articles_between

Al-Hattab considered the proposals submitted by the deputy (Osama al-Nujaifi) and the deputy (Ahmed al-Jarba) as "the most appropriate" in dividing the departments of Nineveh Governorate, and "achieving representative representation consistent with the nature and characteristics of the population, whether in the center or in the districts and sub-districts."

He indicated that the divisions of the eight electoral districts in Nineveh aimed at taking into account the population density of the Mosul district center, which was divided into 3 electoral districts, preserving the social demographic diversity in the district and sub-district centers, in addition to adopting geographical convergence in the distribution of electoral districts to residential areas.

As for the proposal submitted by the MP (Falah Zaidan), which includes merging districts in the districts and sub-districts with areas in the city center, it is an attempt to deplete the electoral votes of the people of the governorate, and a confiscation of their political freedom to choose their representatives in the House of Representatives, so the voters cannot be aware of who Their candidates are in the districts and counties and vice versa.

He stressed that "every social environment has its own specificity, identity and aspirations, in which it is impossible to equal needs and requests."

The Arrival Of The Local Borrowing Law To The Parliament Has Stalled For These Reasons

On October 11, 2020

The Independent / - The official Al-Sabah newspaper reported that the government is “reluctant” to send the local borrowing law to the House of Representatives, despite the continuous parliamentary calls for the government to speed up sending it.

The newspaper said in its number issued today and reviewed by Al-Mustaqilla on Sunday, that "until now the local borrowing law has not reached the House of Representatives, despite the continuous parliamentary calls for the government to speed up sending it, in order to find a legal way out that secures the salaries of employees."

articles_between

She added, "It seems that the government is" reluctant "to send it, in light of the presence of a representative trend that rejects the continuous resort to borrowing without real reforms that maximize non-oil revenues.

The newspaper quoted a member of the Finance Committee, Jamal Cougar, as saying, "The government is reluctant to send the local borrowing law to Parliament because it believes that the law will not be voted on."

The Ministry of Finance has borrowed 15 trillion dinars, while it is currently looking for a new borrowing of 27 trillion dinars, in contrast, the deficit in the draft budget for this year is 81 trillion dinars.

Iraq .. Expectations of a possible decrease in the value of employee salaries and a warning of 4 serious repercussions

The economist, Abdul Rahman Al-Mashhadani, said, Saturday, October 10, 2020, that converting the exchange rate from the dinar to the US dollar is a natural step for most countries that witness political, security and economic turmoil.

Al-Mashhadani said in an exclusive interview that “recent government statements have focused heavily on the move to change the exchange rate, because this will reduce the value of the Iraqi dinar and provide the government with additional revenues as a result of receiving oil revenues in US dollars and then sell them to the Central Bank to get the Iraqi dinar to pay Salaries of employees and retirees ”.

He added that "this step has negative effects on the other hand, as the salaries of employees will decrease by the increase, and this means that the employee who receives $ 1000, his salary will be $ 800, and this will affect the real income of individuals."

Al-Mashhadani continued, "The second negative matter is by step changing the exchange rate, as the prices of imported goods will rise, especially since Iraq relies heavily on import to cover the needs of the local market, and this will affect the purchasing value of the individual."

He pointed out that "the failure to study the step of changing the exchange rate of the dollar will greatly mislead society, and will lead to an increase in crime, extortion, and even kidnappings, as well as the expansion of the poverty line in society and may reach more than 70% of the total number of citizens."

A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Representative Jamal Cougar, commented on Thursday (10/8/2020), according to what was reported by some media regarding the existence of an intention by the Ministry of Finance to change the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar against the US dollar, between the central bank’s position on going towards This option.

Cougar said in an interview that he “has not seen the (reform paper), which is supposed to be presented by the Minister of Finance yet,” and he does not have any information if it includes the change of the Iraqi dinar exchange rate against the dollar.

Cougar added, "The Parliamentary Finance Committee held an extended meeting with a delegation with the Central Bank earlier, and was strongly opposed to any attempt to reduce the exchange rate of the dinar against the dollar, while he presented a scientific study to show his view of the negatives accompanying any step in this direction."

He explained, "The study confirmed that the move to change the exchange rate will lead to reducing the salaries of employees, which leads us to inflation and higher prices."

He pointed out that "the people most affected by any change in the exchange rate are those with limited income."

Cougar added, "The Central Bank, as an independent institution, is the one responsible for the issue of raising the exchange rate of the dinar, and we do not know if the Minister of Finance actually had such a direction, and what is the basis and study that he adopted in his choice."

He continued: "But we will wait for the reform paper, and we will see what it contained in terms of solutions to the Iraqi economic and financial file."

Cougar pointed out that "the current problem is not knowing the true size of the revenues that are supposed to enter the state treasury from internal resources at various addresses, and what is the actual waste rate", pointing out that "what goes into the state treasury is not equivalent to 7% of the sums supposed to be achieved, while the rest of the money goes Into the pockets of the corrupt.

What a great and very telling article... Everyone is so focused on the dinar losing value, causing inflation, people earning less, things costing more, sending poverty to 70%, that nobody is even considering an RV or RI which would have the opposite effect for everything.. it truly will be a “SURPRISE!!!!” Moment when it happens soon..

And brother of Baghdad

The deputy for the Alliance of Jawad Al-Mousawi said today, Sunday, that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi signed again in hasty and ill-considered decisions, the last of which is the Sinjar agreement that may drag the country into unforeseen matters that Al-Kazemi, who concluded this ambiguous agreement without referring to the House of Representatives or the representatives of Sinjar In Parliament, there are Arab representatives who rejected this agreement altogether.
Al-Mousawi stated in a statement that “Khabar Press” received a copy of it, “This step will aggravate the situation in this district, which most of its citizens were displaced as a result of the terrorist ISIS’s entry earlier in Nineveh Governorate, and it was better for Al-Kazemi to search for a solution that would satisfy all parties and return the displaced to their areas of residence. And that the agreement between him and the Kurds is not limited to the fact that this judiciary includes many nationalities and religions that have the right to choose their fate, indicating that the possession of land there should be limited to the Iraqi army only, in order to keep this city away from the national and sectarian entrenchment.

Al-Mousawi was surprised by the provisions of this vague agreement that was not presented to the House of Representatives to know its content, and this has raised concerns among several parliamentary circles, which will take place after this agreement and may be a justification for other problems related to many disputed areas.

Al-Hindawi said, "The date set in principle for early elections is 6/6/2021, and there are special financial allocations and allocations for these elections," indicating that "these allocations are scheduled in advance and the Iraqi government will provide all needs, especially financial, and it has given instructions to the Ministry of Finance to provide these." Money . "

And he added, "There is a financial balance in advance for the purpose of holding the elections," noting that "the financial crisis will not be an obstacle to holding early elections in Iraq, which will take place on the specified date ."

The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, announced that the parliamentary elections will take place on June 6, 2021, pledging to provide international monitoring of the electoral process.

Al-Kazemi’s announcement of the election’s date was greeted with an international welcome and a pledge of support and work on its success. However, the positions of the political blocs are still vague and divided about the date and the mechanisms for holding the elections.
