Mary B Posted October 8, 2020 Report Share Posted October 8, 2020 The First Emirati Cargo Ship To Reach The Israeli Port Of Haifa On October 8, 2020 The Independent / - Mendy Zeltsman, Director of Haifa Port, revealed that the first Emirati cargo ship will arrive in Israel, saying that it will enter the port next week. According to the Israeli Kan Channel, the first Emirati cargo ship, named "MSC Paris", will enter Haifa Port, next Monday. Israel and the UAE signed a normalization agreement at the White House in the United States last month, and the US President announced the surprise agreement on August 13. The agreements, which also included normalization between Bahrain and Israel, were called “the Abraham Accords,” after the Prophet Abraham, who is considered the father of the three religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. This is the first normalization agreement between a Gulf state and Israel, and the third with an Arab country, after the peace agreement with Egypt in 1979, and with Jordan in 1994.
