"Terrifying" expectations for OPEC .. Is oil close to "accumulating" and not find anyone to buy it soon?

%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%81%D8%B7-%D8%A7%D9

Yes Iraq: Baghdad

A report issued by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) expected a significant decline in oil consumption in advanced economies, reaching only 47 million barrels per day.

The experts pointed out in this report on the global oil market forecast that between 2022-2025, OECD member states are supposed to first reach the peak in oil consumption in the region at 47 million barrels per day.

The report notes, however, that by 2045, these countries will face a long-term decline in consumption of this resource to 35 million barrels per day.

According to experts, oil consumption will increase correspondingly in developing countries, due to population growth, and possibly more dynamic economic development, and an increase in the middle class.

Consequently, they expect an increase in oil demand of 74.3 million barrels per day for these countries by 2045, as India will become the largest importer of energy resources.

At the same time, OPEC generally expects an increase in oil consumption from 99.7 million barrels per day from 2019 to 109.3 million barrels per day in 2040.

Baghdad / National News Center -
A member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, confirmed today, Friday, that the adoption of small departments and the calculation of 3 to 5 deputies for each department, impedes the emergence of emerging forces or independents in the next parliament.
Al-Sudani said in a tweet followed by the National News Center: “The agreement of some influential political forces to adopt small circles (3-5) deputies for each district, but it is a recycling of these forces, in a way that hinders the emergence of emerging or independent forces in the next parliament.” .
He added, "which foretells by repeating the reluctance of citizens to participate in the elections."
A member of the State of Law coalition, Representative Bahaa Al-Nouri, revealed yesterday, Thursday, a preliminary agreement between the political blocs to resolve the multi-constituency clause related to the election law, while the talks are expected to be resolved in the session next Saturday.
Al-Nouri said in a press interview, “The political blocs have not yet reached a final agreement on the multi-districts clause in the new election law, but there is a preliminary agreement to adopt the middle districts, not the small ones, and that the governorate should not be a single electoral district, that is, to be two, and the governorates. Large, such as Baghdad, Mosul, and Basra, they are 5, 6, or 7 districts. Another opinion was proposed that there should be 3 deputies in each district and a maximum of 5.
He added, “All that was presented are visions that were not finally agreed upon,” pointing out that “the adoption of middle circles by political forces came for multiple reasons, including giving the emerging parties an opportunity to compete against the big parties, in addition to the fact that the smaller circles will multiply and complicate the mandate of the commission.” “.
Al-Nouri explained, “There are many determinants ahead of the upcoming electoral process, including the financial situation and the repercussions of the Corona virus, in addition to the presence of more than 4 million lost electoral power distributed among the parties, so our demands were to adopt the biometric card to avoid any fraud and impose the state’s prestige from In order for the upcoming elections to be fair and fair, to build a political process that would lead to a government that addresses all the problems in the Iraqi scene.
He pointed out that “the discussions between the political forces on resolving the multi-constituency clause did not stop during the visit of Al-Arbaeen,” expecting that it will be resolved in the Saturday session by 70%. The disagreement is still there. ”

Income taxes: citizen funds
Income taxes: the citizen's "private" money on a date with the most prominent weapon in the financial bet

Enthusiasm to raise it 8 times (Facebook)

Ultra Iraq Editorial Team

Unidentified results and mechanisms that Iraq awaits during the coming months regarding one of the measures that the Minister of Finance seems keenly enthusiastic about, while the statements of the Minister of Finance Ali Allawi about the financial crisis and the upcoming reform of the Iraqi economy mention "taxes" as a financial resource that seeks to exploit it in maximizing resources , Until it appeared in his statements as a betting solution.

The chancellor's "white" reform paper includes a serious approach to taxation

Last June, during a press conference for Allawi to talk about the financial crisis and the difficulties of covering the deficit with low oil prices, Allawi said that "oil prices may rise slightly, but they will not reach the level through which the deficit can be covered," referring to the state's resort to To impose income taxes in a way that reduces the large differences between the salaries of employees, while giving exemptions to those with limited incomes.

In an interview with the official agency last Sunday, Allawi announced that "Iraq will move from the traditional budget to the program budget within a year and a half."

He added that "tax returns constitute a very small percentage of the state's resources, which are not high if compared to any other country, as the tax structure is reasonable in Iraq."

He pointed out that "citizens will not respond to taxes, and they may have a justification, because the state does not provide them with the necessary services, so the level of taxes must be related to services and their quality." Currently at less than one trillion, due to the large exemptions and exemptions. "

For his part, a member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Naji Idris, affirmed that the reformist "white" paper of the Finance Minister included a serious approach towards taxes.

Idris said in a press statement followed by "Ultra Iraq", "The white reform paper presented by the Minister of Finance to improve the economic situation in Iraq focused on two very important aspects for its implementation during the next short period."

And he indicated that “the first aspect includes stopping waste in the state’s public expenditures,” while he mentioned that the other side, which he described as “important,” relates to “maximizing public revenues, whether direct or customs tax, as well as setting a new salary scale to achieve the principle of social justice, to reduce From the disparity in the salaries of ministries and government institutions. "

Taxes lie in wait for salaries

The Minister of Finance's enthusiasm to raise tax revenues by about 8 times, and the parliamentary assurances about this approach, prompt questions about the mechanism of implementing this expected experience, and how it will affect citizens who will find themselves forced to pay taxes based on the size of their salaries in the coming months.

Economic expert Salam Sumaisem said that "the Ministry of Finance is trying to implement economic reform through issues that were neglected under the principle of maximizing imports," noting that "maximizing imports is based on activating state imports, the most important of which is taxes."

In an interview with Ultra Iraq, Sumaisem considered that "the issue of taxes is not easy, given its social, economic and political dimensions."

share

An economic expert said that the Minister of Finance's statement to move towards budgeting programs means that this means the direction of activating taxes with a decrease in the amount of services provided to citizens

Sumaisem did not conceal the “ambiguity of the picture” regarding the government's direction and mechanisms to implement the tax issue, indicating that “we do not know the government's direction in this regard and to what extent it is going, and that it must translate its political orientation through taxes, meaning that if it wants to reduce income inequality, Higher taxes should be imposed on higher incomes. "

Also read:  An extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers: Funds and projects for the capital of protests

Sumaisem considered that "if the government goes to impose taxes even on middle-income earners, this means that it wants to collect money even if it is at the expense of the welfare of the poor citizen."

She explained that "there is a tendency towards privatization and the budgeting of programs," indicating that "when the Minister of Finance declares to move towards budgeting programs, this means the trend to activate taxes with a decrease in the amount of services provided to the citizen, and therefore the low-income citizen and the middle classes will bear the burden of that, and this will become clear in the coming years ".

Salaries for state employees, an amount that is not easy, so the situation can be resolved through it, if the government moves for the next period. "

Customs and taxes

He pointed out "the importance of taking a clear plan to increase revenues, such as activating customs, taxes, levies and fees, which are in dire need of activation."

Regarding the border crossings, Al-Jubouri said, “The only solution to controlling customs is electronic governance, automating procedures at border crossings, and the dimensions of those who violate the law and controlling the ports, as well as deporting some of the clans controlling the ports, and these are the real measures,” affirming that “the crisis The economy will be greater for the coming months, in the absence of real reforms.

Non-oil revenue

It quoted the saying of the head of the National Approach / MP Ammar Tohme: "The formula that was voted on for the various constituencies was agreed upon between certain blocs in line with the spread of their voters, and this method represents a clear confiscation of the rest of the voters' votes and pre-control of the election results, far from the will The majority of the voters. "

In this regard, she mentioned: "The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that salaries will be secured for the coming months, and declared its rejection of the government resorting to borrowing without real reforms."
