The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, considered, on Monday, that the region is the most successful model in Iraq despite the crises.

Barzani said in a statement that Alsumaria News received a copy of, that "reform is a permanent process, and it will not end overnight, and it has started in many areas, and will affect various sectors financially and administratively."

He added that "the financial obligations that the government owes to both the Iraqi Commercial Bank and the Kurdistan International Bank amount to about 4.6 trillion dinars (about 3.9 billion dollars), bringing the total internal and external debts to about 33.6 trillion dinars (equivalent to 28.4 billion dollars). Dollars) ".

He pointed out that "negotiations are continuing with the federal government regarding the Kurdish areas outside the administration of the region," again, "a complete rejection of the process of demographic change in those areas by continuing the policy of Arabization and displacing the Kurdish and Turkmen populations from their villages and lands."

He noted that "Erbil and Baghdad had previously agreed to establish six joint information centers between the army and the Peshmerga in Diyala, Makhmour, Mosul, Kirkuk, Erbil and Baghdad, but the federal government did not issue any decision to initiate the centers aimed at curbing terrorist activities."

He continued, "We are continuing our talks with Baghdad, and there are those who say that the Kurdistan region’s problem with Baghdad is limited to the budget and salaries, and this is not true. There are major issues, most notably the Kurdish regions outside the region’s administration and the Peshmerga file."

He pointed out that "the Kurdistan region is the most successful model in Iraq despite the crises," considering that "there is a window of opportunity to solve the problems between the two sides, and it must be exploited and not lost, because the settlement of problems under the constitution is an important factor for stability in the public interest of all Iraqis."

Set an expected date for their distribution ... A Kurdish parliamentarian reveals the rates of salary deduction for the region’s employees

148 Policy 07/10/2020 12:34 am Baghdad today -

Kurdistan A member of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, Sherzad Hassan, confirmed today, Wednesday (October 07, 2020), that there is no certain date for the distribution of salaries of employees in the region, due to the lack of liquidity, while it is likely that next week will witness the start of the distribution of salaries. Hassan said in an interview with (Baghdad Today): "It is assumed that after Baghdad completes the distribution of the salaries of its employees, it will send an amount of 320 billion dinars to be collected with the funds in the region, and it is distributed to the employees at a deduction rate as well." He added, "The Council of Ministers in the Kurdistan region reduced the deduction rate to 18% instead of 21%, and despite this, it is difficult to provide the sums allocated for the salaries of employees, which amount to about 890 billion dinars, while the region’s revenues with the sums that Baghdad sends do not exceed the percentage 750 billion dinars. " He pointed out that "the Kurdistan Regional Government is waiting to send the money from Baghdad, and most likely, the middle of next week will witness the start of distributing the salaries of employees in the region." Yesterday, Tuesday, the Ministry of Finance announced the start of the distribution of salaries for employees in Iraq, starting today, Wednesday, while indicating that it had completed the White Paper on the Economy. The delay in the salaries of employees sparked popular and political discontent, after the Ministry of Finance insisted on releasing the salaries of last September, after the passage of the borrowing law in Parliament, which was rejected by the Finance Committee and most political blocs. And last Sunday, a member of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament for the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Zana Khaled, confirmed that the regional government will not be able to distribute the salaries of employees in the region until after Baghdad sends 320 billion dinars . Khaled said in an interview with (Baghdad Today) that "basically, with the amount sent from Baghdad, there is an inability to complete salaries, because oil prices are very low, and there is a lack of financial revenues that the region gets . " He added, "The regional government is aware of the extent of the damage that is inflicted on citizens, but it cannot provide liquidity, so it is waiting to send an amount of 320 billion dinars, to supplement it with the revenues it obtained from the sale of outlets and the revenues of the outlets, so that it can pay the salaries of employees, otherwise it will not be able to distribute Salaries at the moment .
