He did not block his duty. He blocked his nominee. Big difference. He and the Senate did their duty.

Did they....by letting the American people make the decision?  Face it, you're advocating for hypocrisy, just like the rest of us.  This whole thing will lead to two more stars on the American flag and at least 2 more seats on the highest bench in the land...all within constitutional boundaries.

NO! Quite the opposite. This will end in an all out civil war because people on the left would not accept the results of an election. And people on the right are far more PI$$ED OFF than you're willing to admit.

But everyone knows that the Lunatic leftists will fire the first shot, not the last.

Over-the-top fear mongering....get a grip, brother.  Let the election play out, then we'll see...And if you retort with the election is already rigged, sticking to Trump's talking points, then I invite you to not vote at all, don't waste your time, or a stamp.

This entire mess is because in 2012 the Dems, and Senate Chair Harry Reid, decided to change the rules to a majority rules 51-49 where it used to take 60 to gain the majority rule.  The Dems knew what they were doing.  They though 4 more years of Barry and 8 of HRC would give them 4-6 SCOTUS PICKS.

The only problem was the Reps won the Senate in 12, and 16 and Trump won in 16.  Talk about a short sighted maneuver.  They can blame the Reps all they want but they started all of this with bad Senate rule changes.  They are mad because they screwed up and President Trump if he wins will reshape the Supreme Court for decades to come.

I will tell you something else and I mean no disrespect to RBG (RIP), but she should have retired so Barry could replace her position.  The Dems were foolish and full of hubris imo.  Now they are reaping the fruits of their shenanigans.

Impeaching Trump for doing his job, Won’t Happen.  Using the death of a SCOTUS to wip up your base to vote, Shameful.  Stacking the Court to gain Control. Revolution!!!!

Totally agree...  Reid... Pelosi...Chucky... pathetic leadership.....Reid retained his top dog status despite a narrow victory in podunk tiny hoodlumville Nevada... now that's who I want running things....3rd grader Nancy rips up speeches right after the SOTU speech.... .Chucky hasn't discovered there are glasses where you don't have look like a clown to see thru them...  .

The arrogant left was so sure they had the long term winning game plan when they went Nuclear (51)....HRC being a lock after Obama.....they really screwed themselves.....the fault lies squarely on the shoulders of the party!

I'm picking up your frustration, CL....I can only imagine what it must feel like to have to plug your nose and support Trump because your own Dem candidate you spent so much time and effort trying to get nominated to beat Trump, got barely a sniff.  It has to be very disheartening to know the deck was stacked against Tulsi...and all that's left is two old white guys, with multitudes of mental issues.

No fear mongering here. It's your beloved Democratic Communist party that is now blatantly saying if Trump puts forward a nominee they are going to, "BURN THE WHOLE F@ING THING DOWN".

It's your Beloved Democratic Communist party that has been rioting in the streets of Lunatic leftists cities and BURNING THEM DOWN  simply because Trump is POTUS.

WHAT? Do you really think Patriotic American people haven't been paying attention?

Do you really think that Patriotic American people haven't heard the call from the Democratic Communist party Brown and Black Shirts to take their chaos into the suburbs?

No my Brother, it's you and your Communist party that has lost all control of your mental faculties. Otherwise you would not attempt to project the insane actions of your Communist party on me.

And as you well know I don't have a dog in this fight. The Communist Lunatic leftists are insane and seriously need to be institutionalize.

And the Trump followers are beginning to make Trump something of a god. Neither side has a freaking clue what is coming.

But I STRONGLY suspect that before the end of the year some people are going to begin to realize what a MASSIVE MISTAKE  they have made. But by then it will be too late. And they will have to live through the greatest tribulation the world has ever seen.

Seems the timeline for the "greatest tribulation the world has ever seen" keeps getting pushed back.    And for a guy who conveniently claims no horse in the race....you sure rail against one of those horses ad nauseum.   And, once agains, I'm not a registered Democrat.....just like you're not a Trump supporter.  ;)

What I "rail" against is the greatest threat to America since the civil war. And the blatant pure evil know as the Democratic Communist party.  It's just the Christian And Marine in me.

As far as "pushing back" the tribulation,........"study the word of rightly dividing the truth showing thyself approved".

1 or 2 terms.....Trump will be an aberration.....who is the next Trump?.....they broke the mold........

Still, his election trumpets...(sorry, couldn't help myself)

the change to the establishment politics we have known for so long....If Bernie had gotten a fair shake in 16 from the DNC,  the entire establishment would have been reconfigured....

Now, more than ever, the DNC is divided.....the radical squad and the oldie moldy's...and when Biden loses....the party will realign....somewhere in the middle if they're smart...

NO one I know, who wants Trump as the next Potus, view him as a god.

I see him as a rally point for anyone who is against Socialism, Communism, Marxism, Anti-Constitution.

To be clear, I'm referring to the many comments from people saying things like  "God sent him for us at this time". And "He fights for us". And "God is using him to save America".

I can see how people feel this way but somehow I doubt that the only motivation he has is just us.  If you pay close attention you will even begin hearing people say he's leading the world.

So I am sceptical, even though I LOVE most of what he's doing now.

However, riddle me this.

Who shall make peace with Israel?

And yet McConnell blocked President Obama's  constitutional duty.  Rubbish from the right, rubbish from the left.  It touches us all.

GO RV, then BV

McConnell did no such thing. Barry's Constitutional duty was to nominate a jurist. The Senate's Constitutional duty is to confirm or deny a nominated jurist by the President to the SCOTUS. Former President 0Bummer fulfilled his Constitutional duty in 2015 when he nominated a jurist. The Senate did their Constitutional duty by not confirming a nominated jurist by a sitting President. The Constitution is clear on what constitutes the President's role and the Senate's role in the  process to sit a jurist on the Supreme Court. To say that 0Bummer's Constitutional duty was thwarted by the Senate is nothing but a lie perpetrated by the left because they are not getting their way. The reason why the left so badly points to the jurist 0Bummer nominated in the last year of his election is to play on the right's wanting to sit a Constitutional Originalist. This means the jurist will not legislate from the bench but instead abide by the Constitution and interpret the Constitution to make a fair ruling. Most of those on the right are tired of judicial legislation as what Roberts did for BummerCare (you got insurance but it's a bummer you can't afford to use it and lost your doctor, period).

BS!

US Constitution Article II. Section 2. Paragraph 2. He[The President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

The President nominates. The Senate confirms (confirmation is the "advice and consent" clause). Now tell the founding fathers they twisted and confused the  US Constitution. It is all right there in the US Constitution.

Dipcrack OBummer was not thwarted of doing his Congressional duties. He nominated. The Senate did not give "Advice and Consent" to the nominee. They did their Constitutional duty as per the Constitution.

Try again. Oh wait you turned your back on the US and moved outside of the country to live. Why should we even take your opinion in matters that are internal to the United States. You are a disgrace to every soldier that has fallen and still serves in the uniform of the United States of America. Stay outside of the United States. It is better off without you.

Yeah...who are you referring to when you say moved out of the country?

Now you, as a fellow vet, have earned the right to discredit and disparage my tours of duty serving in the U.S. Army, and therefore I'll rise above and afford your hatred some slack.  You could do better, be better, though.

Yes they did. Citizens of the United States do not vote in the Senate to pass or reject a Supreme Court Justice nominee. That is the job of the Senate. Per the Constitution.
