A member of the Deputy Committee, Alia Nassif, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Friday, that the Parliamentary Integrity Committee has files called (the ninetieth files) in all ministries of the state in which contracts have been obtained. She indicated that what is meant by (the ninetieth) contracts is the payment of funds from the state in the amount of 90 percent of the contract and only 10 percent for the implementation, through which the 90 percent is stolen and state funds are smuggled. She expressed the Parliamentary Integrity Committee's willingness to cooperate with the formed committee, and to lay down its expertise and information in order to combat corruption, "noting that the formation of this committee came due to the exceptional situation the country is going through, and that the Parliamentary Integrity Committee is looking forward to it in order to get rid of the scourge of corruption." Nassif stressed the importance of "the Supreme Committee relying on opening the files of corruption and major criminal crimes on the specialists and making checks on the contracts concluded by the ministries from 2003 until now." The Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, had previously announced the formation of a supreme committee to deal with major corruption and exceptional crimes cases.
