You are quite right. This time "looks" serious...because it is: Go back on this thread and don't bother reading any articles. Just LOOK at the pictures of the various leaders...especially the old former leader of Kurdistan, who is a gnarly distrustful old dude. The most distrustful Kurd of all. Even he has changed.. The body language is serious, yet relaxed and open. Very different than past meetings. The tension is gone. We are well on our way to an agreement/RV

Thanks for your input Rochester,

I agree with you, what we are seeing is totally different than the past. The leaders are relaxed, open and willing to cooperate.
I believe all this was discussed and planned when Al-Kazemi visited the USA.

Go agreement

I really hope that Kazemi gets reelected back in, he is doing incredible!

If he doesn't get reelected and some puppet nabs the job, we mind as well forget about seeing a RI/RV in our lifetime.

My sincere hope is Kaz has all the ducks in a row, budgets properly in order and/or implemented, reforms banged out & rolling, the private sector becomes engaged, more arrests of crooks and A GLOBALLY RECOGNIZED CURRENCY prior to elections. ( not necessarily in that order ). Iraq is pushing 17 years now with this nonsense.

That's one Helluva Mountain to climb isn't it ???

Here's to HOPE  :cheesehead:  :praying:

Information / Special ...

On Saturday, the Al-Fateh Alliance considered Al-Kazemi's visit to the region the last opportunity to deliver the region’s oil imports to the center, indicating that otherwise it would prevent Kurdistan from passing its share in the 2021 budget.

The deputy for Al-Fateh Muhammad Karim told Al-Maouma that, "It was agreed during the visit of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to hand over the funds owed by the region from oil exports and outlets imports to the center in exchange for handing over its budget shares."

He added, "This agreement is the last chance to save himself and preserve the rights of its employees," noting that "in the event that the region refuses to hand over what it owes, it will not have any share in the 2021 budget, and all the money will be deducted."

The Kurdish people are a dear people for us, but we in Iraq do not deal with nationalities or religions. We are distinguished because we are different. If their rights were stripped in the past, then we also had their share of killing, displacement, and everything and extermination. Execution, sectarianism, and conflicts, and we went into the darkness of political pitfalls deceived in the name of religion, and we won nothing but death! Despite the years that have passed and the difficulties that have overcome difficulties, we are still trying to return to the arms of the homeland and encourage support for patriotism in the first place before religion, nationalism and ethnicity. We demand a secular government that deals with a diverse society that does not take sides with one group alone, which creates division and discord. The famous rule says: - Every union is strength and every division is weak.

We do not encourage the establishment of mini-states that show their strengths and muscles in the face of their mother country, and brandish rosy dreams to our dear people within their borders, taking advantage of the current situation and the conflicts and gaps that the country is going through on the social, economic and political levels. We love the Kurds for their sincerity to their seriousness for their integrity, and despite my being (visual) I always say and repeat - if the sovereignty of the country were in the hands of the Kurds, it would have been better - but this is coupled with the condition of non-discrimination, treatment according to patriotism, not nationality.

We will try, with our youthful energies and green ages, to change the ideas of this society and lead it to sanctify patriotism in the first place, then religion and nationalism, and do not forget that religion works for the sake of humanity. Previously Islamic societies, especially at the beginning of the Islamic state, were diverse and we see that the Jew, the Christian and the Muslim The worshiper of idols and everyone will live in peace as long as they are not exposed to Islam badly, and there is no compulsion for religion or anything else. As for the hostility, racism, discrimination, and all other provocative methods that the region’s politicians are doing, which threaten to disavow the mother country, prevail over the common people and reject unity, I do not see it reaping anything but a sectarian national war in which blood and hatred reach the sky. What the Ba'ath has ruined will fix the reality, and what the rest of the non-Islamic parties have ruined will be reformed. Our hope is that we will be a single hand that embarks towards a prosperous future that raises the level of this country and rises to some of its glories and civilization.

And remember that every person born on the land of Iraq has acquired an honor, not an honor like him, and he must know who he is, what his history and what his civilization are, to realize the position of his feet in the torrent of his life coupled with the torrent of the nation’s civilization, its history and its glories. (Yes to patriotism, both to nationalism and sectarian religion)

#TranslateIf your meditations are to establish a nation-state that brings together your parties in Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran, then you should wait for the Third World War, from which no one will escape! ...
