The International Monetary Fund said on Wednesday, that the Coronavirus crisis is "not over yet", stressing the need for multilateral cooperation to ensure adequate supplies when developing a vaccine.

In an article published in Foreign Policy magazine, IMF Director Kristalina Georgieva and the Fund’s chief economist, Gita Gopinath, said, “The current economic recovery from the crisis is a result of the rapid implementation and the unprecedented amount of support from governments and central banks ... but more will be needed. Efforts ”.

The two economic experts added in the article: "The recovery is still very fragile and uneven in different regions and sectors, and to ensure the continuity of the recovery, it is necessary not to stop the support before the appropriate time for that."

The "Covid-19" disease caused by the emerging corona virus has killed 900,000 people around the world, and the Fund estimates that the total cost of the crisis will reach $ 12 trillion by the end of 2021, as low-income countries are likely to need continued support.

The IMF has provided emergency financing to 75 countries, 47 of which are low-income countries, and said it was ready to provide more. 25 n

On Thursday, the competent authorities at the Ministry of Health closed a number of laboratories for violating ministerial instructions and procedures for detecting the Corona virus.    

The ministry said in a statement that "people" received a copy of it, (September 10, 2020), that "in order to protect our honorable citizens from the exploitation of the weak, the Inspection Department at the Ministry of Health announced the closure of a number of main and side laboratories in the capital Baghdad for violating ministerial instructions and decisions of the Supreme Health Committee. And national safety and conducting checks to detect infection with the new Corona virus, taking large sums of money from citizens in exchange for inaccurate tests, and sometimes patients are provided with unreal results because it is not possible to conduct these analyzes in the private sector.  

He added, "The Ministry of Health has worked to limit the conduct of examinations for the detection of infection with the Coronavirus in government laboratories with the availability of scientific and objective conditions according to Public Health Law No. 89 of 1981, free of charge, while ensuring the accuracy of laboratory results and combating the spread of the pandemic and adopting a solid mechanism for isolating medical waste in laboratories and following Proper methods for taking samples from patients. "  

He continued, "Those visits resulted in the closure of (37) laboratories for violating health conditions, as well as issuing a warning (75) to them, and referring (12) people to the security and judicial authorities to practice the profession without obtaining approval to practice work."
