"On Wednesday, a member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Alia Nassif, considered the nomination of the Prime Minister’s advisor, Salem Chalabi,"

This sounds like good news to me. If I remember correct, from the start of the war, his uncle was one of the main guys pushing for America to get involved and kick Saddam out. Far as I can tell, looking at his wiki bio, he is very pro-American.

No doubt the Chalabi family are crooks like the rest of them, but they are pro-American crooks. That's as good as it get, in Iraq. His wiki bio says:

-American and British educated....very good

-hated Saddam, tried to get him for Crimes Against Humanity...very good

-was appointed to the anti-Saddam commission by Paul Bremer, head of American occupy force...very good, trusted

-his uncle Ahmed Chalabi was critically involved in inviting American to kick Saddam out...very good

-worked with an American law firm and British law firm...very good

-had an American Jewish business and law partner he worked with

Comment: banking is all about trust. International banking is based on central banks in various countries around the world, that have common rules, work together with other central banks in other countries, working together as a fraternity of common rules, to promote stability and economic growth and international trade and prosperity. Trading currency is part of this and that's why this is important to us. We need someone in that community that can be trusted by other bankers. The banking system, it all runs and depends on common international social trust and rules. His profile sounds like he is a good choice.

Chalabi is American and British educated, so he fits right in with this elite banking community, knows many of the players personally, they know him, obviously trust him. For an Arab he's particularly open minded because he has Jewish American friends and business partners. America is the dominant economy in the world, the dominant economic power, the dominant banking power. America is the most influential country in running the world's financial infrastructure and most of it runs out of New York City. It's all mostly run by Americans. American money men run the world's banks....the IFM, World Bank and many major global banks are run out of New York City. Chalabi is trusted by these people. Good sign.

Another good indicator: Tel Aviv in Israel has the largest Jewish population of any city in the world. The second highest Jewish population of any city in the world is New York City. Other than Israel, the highest number of Jewish people in any country in the world are located in the United States, in New York City. They are represented in high numbers in banking. Because of all this, American banking has a very high number of Jewish-Americans at the top of that community. Chalabi has Jewish friends. That's a positive sign. The fact that the Chalabi is not antisemitic is a positive thing. I means he'll be trusted and get along with many of the people who run the international banking system, out of New York.

Good news? Maybe...We'll see how this goes. Chalabi seems on paper, an ideal candidate to RV their currency and integrate Iraq into the world banking system. My guess is, this is very good news. :goodnews:
