Economists: Violent protests in the Iranian street are evidence of his failure

The Khamenei regime is trying to appear straight and has nothing to do with it.
He claims that the US sanctions have not affected him and will not push him to change his enterprise slogans, but the truth is completely different.
The regime is suffering an economic collapse, and there has been a boil in the Iranian street during the last period.

In conjunction with the economic and living crisis the country is suffering from, labor strikes continue in Iran in many sectors, from oil to sugar.
For the third consecutive day, the Iranian city of Bushehr and a number of cities in the south witnessed protests, sit-ins and strikes organized by workers and employees in the oil sector and petrochemical industries due to a lack of salaries, and what they described as corruption scandals of power.

In the context, the news agency "Ilna" reported that workers of phases 22 and 24 from the South Pars field went on strike, to protest against their low wages and working conditions. The workers of the Juffair refinery in Ahvaz also joined the strikes yesterday and stopped working at the largest oil fields in the oil and gas rich region. The wave of new labor strikes began in oil and gas refineries on Saturday, and included the Abadan, Barsian and Qeshm refineries, the "Lamard" petrochemical complex and the South Pars oil field. In addition, workers of the Haft Tabah sugar cane company continued their strike on Monday in the 50th day in front of the office of the mayor of Al-Shoush City, in protest against the continued neglect of their demands and the failure to cancel the privatization of the factory and pay salaries and dues.

Haft Tabah workers in the new round demand their strike to “pay deferred salaries, renew insurance books, return their dismissed colleagues, arrest Amid Asad Biky, CEO of the company, remove the employer and the private sector from the company, and return the stolen money. It is indicated that the new round From the workers' strike started on June 16th, where 800 workers went on strike to protest against the non-payment of salaries and the lack of determination of their employment status and continuing for two months.
Economists and observers assert that the protests during Khamenei's era are the best evidence of his failure to administer the country and to undermine his rule.

Amid an extensive security spread ... Iran is awaiting a wave of new protests against corruption and mismanagement

image.jpeg.66a94a66ddfd1e0c70a1addc14a54b96.jpeg

4th August, 2020

An unusual deployment of Iranian security forces in different parts of the country revealed expectations of popular protests, in protest against the economic situation, corruption and mismanagement.

The British-based Kayhan London newspaper reported on Tuesday that police elements and vehicles have spread in some areas of the capital, Tehran, the predominantly Kurdish city of Urmia in northwestern Iran, and the oil-rich Al-Ahwaz region in the southwest of the country. The special police units were stationed at several traffic junctions in Tehran, such as Imam Ali Highway, Sablan Street, Resalat Exits, Haqqani, and two sides of Kodak. The speed of the Internet has slowed sharply in the same areas where Iranian security forces have deployed since Monday, according to Kayhan London.

No official has commented on the reason for the police forces being mobilized in some parts of Iran, but Ali Azimi, Deputy Commander of Special Units for the Police Forces, said, "Given the movements of those he described as opponents and enemies of the regime, it is necessary to be more vigilant on the part of the military and police units." The security official stressed during a meeting with the leaders of special police units in the Jahramhal and Bakhtiari province, that his country needs security more than ever, he said. The police forces put a wide range of preventive activities on the agenda along with countermeasures, according to Rasoul Barzawi, deputy commander of the Iranian Kurdistan Provincial Police Force.

Hundreds of workers at the Isfahan oil refinery in central Iran went on strike to protest against living problems and an expression of their union demands. The simultaneous strikes by workers in many oil refineries, petrochemical plants, agricultural products, municipal workers and others marked the start of a new wave of protests across Iran. The refineries of Abadan, Barsian, Qeshm, Lamard Petrochemicals and South Pars refineries went on strike several days ago. And last Sunday, workers at the Hypco Heavy Industries plant, Al-Adala stock exchange offices, the Haft Tabah Sugar Production Complex and the Qeshm Refinery for crude oil struck protest rallies. The demands of most of the protesting and striking workers were summed up to pay the back wages, the return of their dismissed colleagues, and the end of corruption.

Western reports Iran's terrorist forces outside the next Iraqi parliament, subject to international supervision and ensuring integrity

image.jpeg.2eda8667f7f6fc93c58c48c597476196.jpeg

4th August, 2020

Experts: Iran's terrorist militias will try to blow up Iraq or obstruct the date of the upcoming elections by all means.

Several Western reports have unanimously agreed to diminish the opportunity of Iran's terrorist and militia forces to reach the next parliament. The condition is to ensure the integrity of the electoral process and to ensure that there is full international supervision of the entire process. Reports stressed that the Iraqi street, which has been entrusted with treachery, betrayal and murder by the Iranian gangs during the past period, especially during the Iraqi demonstrations, will not elect these gangs again and has known them all during the past two years.

According to a report by "The Independent", the early elections file will return to the top of the scene again, after Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi announced the date of its holding in early June 2021, which raises many questions about the extent of the acceptance of political forces, especially the Iranian matter.

In particular, the forces loyal to Iran. Al-Kazemi’s announcement of the date of the early elections came in conjunction with the continuing differences between the political forces regarding their law and the distribution of electoral districts there, as well as parliamentarians’ talk that some political forces continue to refuse to hold early elections; Because she is afraid of the possibility of losing it. However, the political parties loyal to Iran did not address these points of disagreement, and only talked about the date, as those parties found in Halbousi's response to call for "early" elections, an appropriate way out that would avoid delving into the conditions and procedures set by the High Electoral Commission !! Al-Kazemi appears to have put the pro-Iranian parties in a critical angle. Within hours, the “Sadiqun” political wing of the “Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq terrorist group” issued three statements expressing its reservations about the date set by Al-Kazemi, demanding an “early” date.

Corrupted Nuri al-Maliki, leader of the State of Law coalition, said that the dissolution of Parliament adopts two phases, the first of which has the right to request the dissolution, and the second in the hand of the decision to dissolve, and the Council will vote by dissolving itself, adding: There is no authority for any party to dissolve the parliament without its consent to He dissolved himself," while he joined the callers to rush the election date by calling for an "earlier" date. Salim al-Jubouri, the former parliament speaker, described the disputes over the date as a bluffing bluff, saying in a tweet on Twitter: You may realize the extent of the dilemma that the early election prosecutors signed. Achieving this goal, there are those who put forward the early elections, and those who said that parliament should be dissolved, and concluded his tweet with the tag "People understand your tricks."

Perhaps further complicating the resolution of the early elections file is the declining popularity of pro-Iranian political forces, particularly after the October Uprising that expressed its rejection of Iranian influence in the country, as well as accusations by activists of pro-Iranian armed arms of involvement in kidnappings and killings of protesters. To that, the researcher and academic Bassel Hussein indicated that Al-Kazemi's announcement of the date of the early elections was a surprise to all political parties and put them in a confrontation with the Iraqi street.

The political researcher, Ghaleb Al-Dami, added that Al-Kazemi set the date for the early elections, despite his awareness of the resistance that would be placed on it, but it came within his efforts to fulfill the promises of the government program.  Al-Dami suggested that these forces resorted to several paths to obstructing the holding of early elections, by not resolving the vacant position in the Federal Court, and by impeding voting on the electoral law and its financing. The other track may include an escalation on the ground, indicating that it is not unlikely that these parties will create security problems similar to what happened in the Tarmiyah area a while ago. There is no dispute, according to many foreign newspapers, that Iran's terrorist forces are in Iraq inside a big fix. And this predicament will be aggravated if all this is followed by the decision of international supervision of the upcoming elections. Then, these forces will not be able to practice forgery, falsify participation rates, or infiltrate armed gangs in the House of Representatives.

Chinese bombers exercising war in the South China Sea

image.jpeg.7970b22fb46e63bbb98aeb5bb9e1a8f1.jpeg

15:05 - 04/08/2020

A magazine, "The National Interest," has devoted space to talk about the new "H-6J" grenade launchers, noting that it is training "around the clock" in anticipation of a war in the South China Sea.

And the American magazine reported that the disclosed exercises included "launching attacks on surface ships, striking from long distances, night landing, observation, and shooting, all of this being practically conducted by China in the sky over the South China Sea with the participation of the H-6J, which China recently disclosed it, and it is equipped with a large number of weapons systems that were designed years ago for carpet bombing, destroying large fixed targets, and demolishing enemy fortifications for ground attack.

The Chinese government-backed daily "Global Times" describes the combat drills as "round the clock", partly devoted to assessing the ability of the H-6J grenade launcher to operate in all weather conditions and hitting moving marine targets.

The American report pointed out that the new Chinese "H-6J" bomber is an upgraded version of the old "H-6", a large launcher platform that flew for the first time in 1959, noting that it is interesting that its size and age are parallel to that. Apparently, the famous American bomber "B-52" in the Vietnamese war.

Global Times says the new Chinese H-6J bomber can carry seven YJ-12 anti-ship cruise missiles, with hypersonic velocity and six under the wings.

The Chinese newspaper reported that the armament capacity of the new bomber "H-6J" was about twice as much as the old bomber "H-6G", with a combat radius of more than 50 percent, and about 3,500 km. While many technical details about China's modernization of the launcher may not be known, the trend to maintain the old plane's "platform" is consistent with what the United States is doing with the B-52.

The idea here is to take advantage of everything that can be used in the old plane, and add new electronics, radios, communication systems, intelligence data, targeting media and avionics as well as weapons, of course.

The director of al-Sahel al-Aysar district of Al-Shirqat in Saladin, Gerges Hijab, confirmed today, Tuesday, the disappearance of 90% of "terrorist hotbeds" in the villages of the district after the stopping of funding sources and security blockade.

Hijab said to Shafaq News agency, "All the villages and cities of Aysar al-Shirqat (left side of al-Shirqat) are completely free from terrorist outposts due to the security cordon and the cultural war by the people against ISIS."

“Deployment of security forces and Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi contributed to the elimination of 90% of the terrorist spots, and only tens of them remain in the Mountains of Makhoul on borders with the Makhmur district of Erbil governorate.” He added.

Hijab declared that "the security situation in Al-Shirqat is excellent, controlled by security forces and continuous intelligence monitoring, along with air strikes that destroyed most of ISIS's dens in the northern borders of the district with Nineveh."

It is noteworthy that the Al-Shirqat district, including al-Sahel al-Aysar, fell under ISIS control from 2014 to 2017 before being liberated by the security forces and the PMF in late 2017.

Iranian report: The escalating workers' protests tighten the screws on the regime's neck

image.jpeg.9360acb1c688805704b4e3ef3ebd4115.jpeg

6th August, 2020

An Iranian report, today, Thursday, sheds light on the escalating labor protests in the country, especially in the cities of Khuzestan Province (southwest) with an Arab majority, and whether these protests will extend to a popular uprising for Iranian civil society.

According to a report by the local newspaper, “Sharq,” that “protests by workers in the cities of Khuzestan have continued for two months now, despite the emergency conditions of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, and even the high temperature in this region.”

He pointed out that the first reports indicated that the workers 'protests came as a result of their exposure to many problems in their work, most notably delayed payment of salaries and the failure to extend their insurance papers, in light of the escalating crises of workers' companies due to the incorrect privatization of these companies. He added that “although the workers’ protests, most notably those of the sugarcane company “Haft Teba,” were mainly an expression of economic and practical problems for the workers, but by delving into these protests, we will realize that they express a protest and civil society uprising.

The report of the reformist newspaper affirmed that “the state and the government in Iran are responsible for the necessity to listen to the voices of the workers protesting, and most importantly, work to take measures that meet their demands.”   This comes in light of Iranian experts and officials' warnings of a return of popular protests led by workers; And this is in light of the escalation of economic crises afflicting different groups of society, coinciding with the crisis of the outbreak of the Corona virus in the country. Recently, a number of Iranian cities, most notably Shush, Ahwaz and Persia, are witnessing escalating labor protests by workers in vital companies, including the sugar industry, oil refineries and the petrochemical sector.

Heavy losses to speculators on the Iranian Rial and the Dollar in Iraq

1596886046353.jpeg

8th August, 2020

In Kurdistan and the Shiite cities of Iraq, Iranian businessmen and visitors have long maintained a flourishing economy through dollar-exchange operations against the Iranian Rial (IRR); but the closure of the border due to the COVİD-19 pandemic has stifled these lucrative speculations.

The dollar exchange rate until March - before the closure measures due to the spread of the pandemic; which caused more than 5,000 fatalities out of more than 130,000 infections in Iraq, was equivalent to about 150,000 IRR.

All Iraqis who bet on the recovery of the Iranian currency and purchased the Rial at a low price -in the hope that COVİD-19 crisis would pass quickly, were greatly disappointed.

Despite the dispute between Tehran and Washington and the escalation between them to the brink of armed conflict in Iraq at the beginning of the year, many Iraqis continued to trade in their currencies. Today, the dollar is worth 250,000 IRR, according to Amanj Saleh Al-Sarraf in Al-Sulaymaniyah, Iraq’s second Kurdish city near Iran.

Exchanges between the dollar and the Iranian Rial appeared to be a welcomed alternative source of income during the financial crisis, which dried up many resources, while a survey by the International Rescue Committee a -non-governmental organization, showed that 87% of those surveyed were no longer able to work due to the pandemic.

- Heavy losses –

Iraq is going through the worst economic crisis in its recent history, with oil prices collapse -which makes up the bulk of its public resources, the government is expected to make sharp spending cuts under its austerity policy.

"After the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVİD-19), and the economic crisis it caused, people who are no longer able to work are investing in Iranian currency to run their money", said Saleh Al-Sarraf; sitting in his booth under a large picture of a 100-dollar paper hanging in a frame. He also noted that these deliberations were no longer a win-win for anyone.

Al-Sarraf explained that between the U.S. sanctions that stifled the Iranian economy and the cessation of official trade between the two neighbors, “people who bought the Iranian Rial for 200,000 IRR for one dollar are now reselling it at a lower price of 250,000 IRR for one dollar".

Hazar Rahim, a worker in Al-Sulaymaniyah, suffered from this painful experience. "A few days ago I bought five billion IRR. Within a few hours, the Rial fell and I lost 13,000 dollars".

- Religious tourism ceased –

The same experiences are repeated in Karbala and Najaf, the Shiite cities in southern Iraq.

Annually, millions of Iranian visitors come and spend their Iranian riyals -reaching 5 billion dollars in some years, in a country where there is no tourism but the religious one. The sector also created hundreds of thousands of jobs and about 2.5% of the Gross domestic product (GDP), according to official figures, and According to Agence France Presse (AFP) But today, with the curfew, shops, and restaurants that used to be full of customers were closed.

Iran's economy collapsed as the United States unilaterally withdrew in 2018 from the Iranian nuclear deal and re-imposed tough sanctions on Iran.

COVİD-19 pandemic -which has caused more than 17,000 fatalities in Iran out of 300,000 infections, has exacerbated the situation in the country; which has been forced to cut its exports, causing currency depreciation and inflation.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects Iran’s GDP to decline by 6% in 2020, after a 7.6% decline in 2019. The Iraqi economy is expected to contract by about 10% this year.

Nevertheless, dozens of Iraqis continue to gather in Saleh's shop; lurking in the price of the Iranian Rial, scrambling to get to the table and exchange U.S. and Iranian banknotes, hoping for better days.

Despite international opposition, America intends to call on the Security Council to extend the arms embargo on Iran

%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%85%D9%85-%D8%A7%D9

The American Foreign Policy magazine has obtained a draft resolution that the United States intends to put forward next week in the UN Security Council to extend the arms embargo on Iran, which is expected to expire in October.

The draft resolution aims to impose comprehensive legal obligations on countries to prevent, sell and export weapons to Iran, impose a strict inspection regime on ships transporting Iranian goods, and impose sanctions on individuals and entities including the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

The American text - which was also seen by the French Press Agency - calls for the ban to be extended for an indefinite period.

Diplomats expected Washington to formally present the resolution next Monday to the Security Council, and to vote on it on Tuesday.

Expectations indicate that the draft resolution does not enjoy sufficient support within the Security Council from European countries, as well as Russia and China threatening to use the right of veto to block it.

The European allies of the United States - who also signed with Russia and China the agreement - confirmed that they support the extension of the embargo, but their priority is to maintain the "Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action."

Some European parties believe that the draft resolution will undermine the terms of the Iran nuclear agreement concluded in 2015, while Tehran asserts that the extension of the ban will mean the end of the agreement.

US insistence
The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said last Wednesday that the United States would provide this text despite strong opposition from China and Russia.

Under the agreement, which was negotiated by former US President Barack Obama, Iran agreed to reduce its nuclear activities in return for easing sanctions in particular.

In May 2018, US President Donald Trump announced his country's withdrawal from the agreement and the imposition of unilateral sanctions on Iran as part of the "maximum pressure" campaign.

Since then, Tehran has taken limited but increasing measures to ease its commitment to the agreement, while calling for sanctions relief.

The United States has threatened to make all its efforts to re-impose sanctions on Iran if the embargo is not extended, by using a controversial mechanism to automatically re-impose sanctions in the event that Tehran violates its obligations contained in the "Snap-Back" agreement.

Pompeo presented this argument, which met opposition, and said that the United States is still "participating" in the nuclear deal, so it can impose re-sanctions if it notices violations by Tehran of its obligations.

The US Inspector General of the Joint Command with Europe confirmed that “Turkey remains a transit center for ISIS fighters and their weapons.”

"Turkey is still a regional transit hub for smuggling ISIS terrorist groups and their weapons to war-torn Syria."

The report, issued by the chief inspector of the military mission in Syria and Iraq, described Turkey as "a major facilitation center for ISIS, and that security on the country's southern borders with Syria and Iraq remains a problem."

He added, "Turkey has been criticized for several years by its Western allies for failing to stop the flow of foreign fighters into Syria, as critics have said that it has contributed to the rise and spread of ISIS in the region."

The report continued that “the difficulty in securing Turkey’s borders with Syria and Iraq will likely ensure that the extremist group will be able to continue transferring supplies and fighters from one country to another, and that despite the expulsion of ISIS outside its main strongholds in the two countries, the terrorist group has remained active in the region."

And he continued, “ISIS has recently exploited the restrictions imposed on the security forces due to the Corona virus epidemic to launch more attacks, but the annual comparison of the numbers of the attacks, and the complexity of these attacks and their results indicates that ISIS is not resurrected.”

"ISIS mainly relies on small, localized attacks, and is likely to be unable to lead operations outside Iraq and Syria," the Defense Intelligence Agency said in the report.
