A former election commissioner warns of the Parliament fabricating excuses to delay enacting its law

Saeed Kakai, a former member of the Board of Commissioners, revealed that the Commission is ready to hold the elections, and the House of Representatives should not delay legislation under the pretext of the Corona epidemic .

Kakai said in a televised interview followed by "Digital Media NRT" today (15 August 2020), that the commission has the technical, administrative and executive capacity to conduct elections, under any circumstances determined by the constitutional articles, especially Article 64, which sets 60 days as a ceiling for holding elections .

"The current law is not prepared for elections, and it needs many amendments, and there are experts in the process of making those amendments to the law," Kakai added .

A member of the Board of Commissioners indicated that "Corona epidemic cannot obstruct legislation any longer, and the House of Representatives must hold its sessions, through the presence of the president in a hall and the representatives in other rooms and linking the session to live video simulations, in compliance with preventive measures ."

Kakai called on citizens "to participate in the elections, and to end the militias and corrupt parties, and the owners of political money, indicating when citizens boycotted the 2018 elections, he was the only pretender, because the equation says the higher the voting rate, the less the margin of fraud and suffocation, and the higher the boycott rate, the greater the fraud and the rest Seats. "
