The Parliamentary Finance Committee reassured the employees of their salaries.
Committee member Naji Al-Saeedi said, "The Finance Ministry has completed all its willingness to distribute and pay salaries before Eid al-Adha."
He added that "the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance has secured all financial liquidity for the distribution of the salaries of state employees through internal borrowing from the Rafidain and Al-Rasheed banks. The ministry has completed 90% of the salaries and liquidity is available and will be distributed on time."
Al-Saeedi denied the news about "the government's intention to distribute salaries every 45 days, as liquidity is available under the government borrowing law and there is no problem in distributing salaries during this period."
He pointed out that "the employees will be notified by notification of text messages regarding the citizens' salaries electronically."

Guru "Mountain Goat" will want to make himself/herself scarce for a few days. :jester:

The key ritual is what gives the holiday its name: “Adha” means “sacrifice” in Arabic. Families who can afford to do so will slaughter an animal — perhaps a sheep, goat. The animal is blindfolded, gently put down and then slaughtered while the name of God is praised.

Some Fun Facts on Eid Al-Adha

What is is Eid al-Adha

Eid al-Adha is a public holiday in places such as the Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. It is not a nationwide public holiday in countries such as AustraliaCanadathe United Kingdom or the United States. However, some Islamic organizations may be closed or offer a reduced level of service and there may be some local congestion around mosques in countries where Eid al-Adha is not a public holiday.

Background

Ibrahim, known as Abraham in the Christian and Jewish traditions, was commanded by God to sacrifice his adult son. He obeyed and took Ishmael (Ismail or Ismael) to Mount Moriah. Just as he was to sacrifice his son, an angel stopped him and gave him a ram to sacrifice in place of his son. Some people dispute that the son of sacrifice was Isaac (Isḥāq). Regardless, these events are remembered and celebrated at Eid al-Adha.

The Islamic calendar is based on observations of the Moon and the length of a particular month can vary between years. For this reason, predicted dates of Eid al-Adha may be corrected at the start of the month of Dhul Hijja. This is around 10 days before the start of the festival.

What do people do?

At Eid al-Adha, many Muslims make a special effort to pray and listen to a sermon at a mosque. They also wear new clothes, visit family members and friends and may symbolically sacrifice an animal in an act known as qurbani. This represents the animal that Ibrahim sacrificed in the place of his son.

In some traditionally Muslim countries, families or groups of families may purchase an animal known as udhiya, usually a goat or sheep, to sacrifice, but this is not common or legal in many parts of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States or many other countries. In these countries, groups of people may purchase a whole carcass from a butcher or slaughterhouse and divide it amongst themselves or just buy generous portions of meat for a communal meal on Eid-al-Adha. People also give money to enable poorer members of their local community and around the world to eat a meat-based meal.

In the period around Eid al-Adha, many Muslims travel to Mecca and the surrounding area in Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. Package holidays are organized from many countries. Muslims may plan and save for many years to enable them to take part in this event, which is one of the five pillars of Islam.

As practiced in the USA:

Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice or Festival of Sacrifice, commemorates accomplishment. Eid al-Adha also serves as a reminder of when Ibrahim (Abraham) was willing to sacrifice his son to God, according to Islamic belief. The United States government issued postage stamps to commemorate Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha in previous years. These stamps aimed to highlight the business, educational and social contributions that Muslims made in the United States.

When is it observed?Eid al-Adha Observances

Eid al-Adha takes place on the tenth day of the last month of the Muslim calendar. The Muslim calendar follows the moon, so the months are based on the moon's phases. This means it's 11 days shorter than the Gregorian calendar (January–December). So Eid al-Adha is actually celebrated on a different day every year.

Note: Regional customs or moon sightings may cause a variation of the date for Islamic holidays, which begin at sundown the day before the date specified for the holiday. The Islamic calendar is lunar and the days begin at sunset, so there may be one-day error depending on when the New Moon is first seen.

Do you fast?

Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha occasions are the only two days on which fasting is prohibited. The instructions about making up missed fast days are pretty simple. All one has to do is observe one fast against the one fast that they missed.

Is Eid mentioned in Quran?

There is NO word “EID” in the whole Quran. There is Friday prayer (Salat) mentioned by name in Quran. But there is NO one word as Eid or Eid Prayer (Salat) is mentioned in the whole Quran.
