16th July, 2020

Analyst and political expert, Mujahid al-Tai, believes that Iran employs terrorism in Iraq and never provides the country with good.

"The strength of Iran's influence on Iraq is its ability to sabotage and employ Sunni, Shiite and Kurdish terrorism to create chaos and impede progress," al-Taie said in a tweet on Twitter.

He added that "Iran never offers Iraq good, and if it does, it is in a context in which it gets benefits that are multiplied by what Iraq gets, its allies rule and see Iraq as a strategic enemy."

Two well-informed sources confirmed that the US Federal Bureau of Investigation is conducting a federal investigation into the hacking of Twitter, after Hackers took control of accounts belonging to Joe Biden, Kim Kardashian and others.

The FBI is investigating a "Twitter" hack that announces a possible hacking of several famous personalities' accounts
The office previously stated, "We are aware of the security incident today, which includes many Twitter accounts, which are owned by prominent persons."

He added: "It appears that the accounts have been compromised to perpetuate Bitcoin fraud."

For his part, "Twitter" for social networking announced a possible penetration of the accounts of a number of famous personalities, indicating that he is analyzing information in this regard and will issue a statement soon.

Initial information indicated that the account of Microsoft founder billionaire Bill Gates and Tesla founder Elon Musk was hacked, as tweets appeared with calls for contributions in cryptocurrency, before these suspicious tweets were later removed.

For its part, Reuters reported that the breakthroughs affected the Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden, businessman Michael Bloomberg, singer Kanye West, and the founder of the "Amazon" Jeff Yepzos, in addition to the accounts of the companies "Uber" and "Apple".

The details of the breach were not immediately clear, but the dimensions of the problem indicate that the breach affected many accounts, and was not limited to one service.

US report: Iraq burns half of its gas fields for import from Iran later

1594963872_177202014190ira.jpg

17th July, 2020

A report for the "New York Times" revealed that Iraq burned more than half of the natural gas produced by its fields at a time when it imports gas from Iran to generate energy, while these burning operations result in chemicals capable of causing many diseases, including asthma, high blood pressure and some types of cancer

The newspaper said that the quantities of gas that Iraq burns exceed all countries of the world, with the exception of Russia, and the impact of pollutants resulting from burning gas extends to air, land and water, which also contributes to accelerating climate change, and affects plant and animal life

The newspaper refers to the residents of the village of Nahran Omar, in southern Iraq, whose number means a Shiite shrine in which they include envelopes containing x-rays, medical reports and death certificates for their families “They came to describe the misery that they say was caused by the burning of gas and chemicals leaking from the oil wells in their village. They each had a sick son or a dying wife, or a sick brother or sister,” The New York Times describes them

"Imagine that the town from which every family comes from has a person with cancer (...) This is the case in Nahran Omar, "the newspaper quotes a local tribal leader, Khaled Qasim Falih, as saying. Many countries have partially reduced the process of gas burning, as they waste a valuable resource from their natural resources

According to the International Energy Agency, the amount of gas ignited by Iraq is sufficient to supply at least three million homes with energy and Iraq is burning gas with a huge amount despite the chronic shortage in its energy, and the frequent power outages experienced by many citizens in Iraq

Iraq has long imported gas from Iran in large part to supply gas-dependent power plants for electricity production in summer and the site "Al-Hurra" published in a previous report data of the World Bank stating that the lack of Iraqi oil fields for gas collection equipment leads to burning and wasting 18 billion cubic meters of "oil-related gas" annually

The Iraqi Electricity Minister Louay Al-Khatib had said that his country would need between three and four years to stop importing energy from its neighbor. Al-Khatib said in statements to "Standard & Poor's Global Plats" that oil and gas projects in Iraq will take several years before they reach their production capacity and stop relying on Iranian gas. He explained that "these three to four years must be a timetable without interruption with a government that has full executive authority and without any interference from political entities and in an environment that welcomes investments and multinational participation

The United States has repeatedly granted exemptions to Baghdad to continue importing gas and electricity from Iran, despite its sanctions against Tehran. It was expected that Iraq would invest $ 10 billion in oil and gas projects in order to end its dependence on Iran within four years. However, no progress was made on the projects

Meanwhile, Iranian official statistics show a significant increase in the country's exports of electricity and gas, while Iraqi officials have made contradictory statements about energy imports from the neighboring country. Iraq has always been a customer of more than 80 percent of Iran's electricity exports

Iranian Ministry of Energy figures show that the country's electricity exports increased by more than 28 percent in 2019, to more than eight terawatt-hours per hour. However, experts always question Iran's official statistics, which are largely inconsistent with international data

And several sources have previously reported hijacking the oil tanker "MT Gulf Sky", which the United States is searching for because of its attempt to defraud the American sanctions imposed on Iran.

Sources, including the International Labor Organization, said that the ship was left by its owners near the city of Khor Fakkan in the Emirate of Sharjah without paying salaries to its crew since March 2020. Neither the tanker nor the official Iranian media has acknowledged the hijacking, nor has the United States commented on the incident.

Rouhani: 25 million Iranians have contracted Corona so far

%D8%AD%D8%B3%D9%86-%D8%B1%D9%88%D8%AD%D8

11:10 - 07/18/2020

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced, on Saturday, that 25 million Iranians have been infected with the new Corona virus (Covid-19) so far, according to expectations of a report issued by the Research Department of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education. "We are now at the end of the fifth month to confront this dangerous virus, and there are still concerns in Iran and internationally," Rouhani said during the meeting of the National Committee to Combat Corona Virus.

He added, "Since there is no critical medicine, vaccine and collective safety, there is no way for us to join hands to cut the chain of infection," noting that "I received a report from the Research Department at the Ministry of Health, which predicts that 25 million Iranians have been infected with the Corona virus so far. He continued, "14,000 people have lost their lives due to this disease so far and have been hospitalized during the past period of about 150 days, more than 200,000 in hospitals, and we should bear the possibility that 30 to 35 million other people in the country will be infected."

He explained, "The report stated that we should expect to review twice as many people who have fallen asleep in hospitals during the last 150 days, and we may face disease until the end of this year (the Iranian year ends on March 20, 2021) or the beginning of next year as well."

An uproar in Iran over Rouhani's comments

1595142501_-.jpg

19th July, 2020

The statements of the Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, caused a stir in the country, after he spoke about the infection of about 25 million Iranians with the new Corona virus, which causes the "Coffed 19" disease

The Reuters news agency reported that Iranian health officials sought, on Sunday, to reduce the estimate of President Hassan Rouhani that about 25 million Iranians were infected with the Corona virus. The agency quoted Iranian health officials as saying that it is based on immunological blood tests that measure exposure to the virus and cannot be relied upon to show the current status of the disease

The figure that Rouhani mentioned on Saturday equals nearly a third of the population, which is very much higher than the official number declared cases of Covid-19. Sima Sadat Larry, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, said that the official number of cases rose today to 273,783 cases, and the number of deaths rose to 14,188 people

A statement of the Ministry of Health, carried by Iranian media, said that the number mentioned by the President was based on figures set by a deputy in the ministry. "It is not possible to rely on immunological examinations to diagnose the current condition of the disease," the statement said

"The immunological examinations show only if people have been exposed to the virus in the past," Mustafa Qanei, head of the State Scientific Committee of the Anti-Virus Task Force, was quoted by the website of the Islamic Republic of Iran News website as saying

Qanei added that PCR tests for the throat and nose are necessary to diagnose Covid-19. Parliamentarian Alireza Salimi called on the government to announce one official figure for cases of HIV infection

Rouhani, when announcing yesterday to estimate the infection of 25 million Koruna, did not mention what this figure was based on, but added that a number between 30 million and 35 million others may be at risk of developing COFED-19
