yota691 Posted July 9, 2020 Report Share Posted July 9, 2020 Barham Salih: Turkish military violations on Iraqi soil must be stopped During the meeting 08 July 2020 07:01 PM Direct: Iraqi President Barham Salih stressed the necessity of stopping Turkish military violations on Iraqi soil, returning to it in violation of Iraqi sovereignty and security of the region. This came during a valid meeting today, Wednesday, in the Baghdad Palace, with a number of ambassadors of Arab countries, to discuss ways to strengthen relations with Arab countries, and expand the prospects for constructive cooperation in various fields to ensure the achievement of mutual interests, according to a presidential statement. The President of the Republic stressed that the capable, sovereign, Iraqi state is the national project that will preserve Iraq’s social security and peace, noting that the stability of Iraq is an essential pillar of regional stability. The President stressed that Iraq is a country that has its strength and influence in its regional and international surroundings and everyone should respect its sovereignty, and not to interfere in internal affairs in order to build advanced relations based on mutual understanding on many of the current issues. The President of the Republic stressed the importance of supporting the paths of peaceful solutions to address crises and tensions in the region in a manner that establishes security and stability for all countries, pointing out that Iraq cannot be part of the axis policy, as it is keen on its Arab depth from its historical extension and pivotal role, and its serious endeavor to create an environment Amna meets and shares common interests and goals. The Iraqi President praised the stance of the sisterly countries and the Arab League in support of Iraq towards the continuation of Turkish violations, and their support for its security and stability, pointing to the need for joint action and coordination in order to find solutions to the border problems between the two countries through diplomatic means and through serious dialogue and joint cooperation.
