American concern about Chinese military exercises in the

Yesterday, the Pentagon expressed its concern about Chinese military exercises around a disputed archipelago in the South China Sea, and warned that these exercises "will further destabilize the situation in the region."

In a statement, the Pentagon said, "The Ministry of Defense is concerned about China's decision to conduct military exercises around the Paracel Archipelago in the South China Sea, from July 1 to 5."

The Chinese exercises are taking place amid escalating differences between the United States and China over the Covid-19 epidemic, in which Washington accused Beijing of hiding the outbreak and reducing its seriousness in the Chinese city of Wuhan. 
Washington rejects Beijing's demands, in a large part of the South China Sea, for the region that contains large oil and gas reserves.

During A Speech By Zarif, Iranian Lawmakers Chanted: A Liar

Revolutionary Guards talking about building "missile cities" under the Gulf

On Sunday, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards said that Tehran had built "underground missile cities" along the Gulf coast, Reuters news agency reported.

Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri added to the weekly "Sobh Sadiq" newspaper that Iran "has established underground missile and land missile cities along the coasts of the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman."
