Actually, I remember more of the turbulent 60's because we lived in Maryland (about 20 minutes out of Washington, D.C. ) AND my dad was a cop in Maryland during the 60's!!! And he LOVED to tell them!. He and mom left West Virginia in 1960, to get away from the coal mines. In 1972 we moved to NC after he had to take a disability retirement. But he LOVED being a cop.
