DinarThug
CNN. Broadcasting While Trying To Rub Off Some Of That ‘Prestige’ Onto Their Currency ! The prestige of Iraq ... the ultimate goal of Mustafa Al-Kazemi - 4 Days Past Because Iraq and its financial and economic capabilities are an ethical trust and a national responsibility under the responsibility of Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Prime Minister of Iraq, the Ministry of Communications announced the launch of the shock operations under the guidance of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to detect and combat the smuggling of Internet capacities in Iraq, pointing out that it is the largest joint specialized operations. In a statement, Minister of Communications Arkan Al-Shaibani said that the operation was launched with the direct guidance of the Prime Minister and with support, cooperation and joint coordination with the intelligence and national security services and rapid response forces to uncover sites, towers and smuggling systems of Internet capacities in Diyala and the rest of the provinces - Mosul and Kirkuk - adding that these operations It will continue until the smuggling is completely eradicated and the authorities behind this issue are reached. The statement called on the national companies working in the communications and internet sector to support the process and report any smuggling operation to the capacitors in a manner that guarantees the preservation of the national security and the Iraqi economy. This operation aims to combat smuggling in the international information network “the Internet” and eliminate thefts in this vital economic services sector in Iraq. Because its smuggling and theft negatively affects the Iraqi state’s treasury revenues, which causes it to lose hundreds of millions of dollars. This smuggling is not a result of this moment, but rather dates back to previous years, and its source is in northern Iraq. Mustafa Al-Kazemi profoundly realizes that countering these robberies is like a person who enters himself with a "nest of the hornets", yet he does not care about him as long as the goal is moral and patriotic, which is re-imposing the prestige of the Iraqi state on Iraqi soil. The prestige means to Mustafa al-Kazemi restoring the citizen’s confidence in the state and its institutions, and getting Iraq out of the failed state classification circle. And save the Iraqi state from fragmentation and weakness. And the restoration of Iraq as an active country in the Arab, regional and international environment, meaning that Iraq is a player in the region and not just a playground for regional and international countries. In this context, the trauma process comes as an entry point for Mustafa Al-Kazemi to fight a form of corruption in Iraq. Therefore, the Iraqi national forces must stand by him and work with him to overcome the difficulties that he will surely face in combating corruption. The fight against corruption comes as a priority for Mustafa Al-Kazemi because he understands that the corruption that is rampant in the Iraqi state detracts from Iraq's internal sovereignty and embarrasses Iraq externally. This matter is not accepted by its moral and national conscience. Whoever confronts him in the recent past and with great determination the ISIS terrorist crime, is able to confront the wasp's nest. In line with the economic aspect of imposing the prestige of the state through trauma operations, once Mustafa Al-Kazemi formed his government and won the confidence of the House of Representatives, the security services carried out an intelligence operation regarding the authorities that strike rockets at the headquarters of the Iraqi army and arrest those who carry out these actions who are . Because the prestige of the Iraqi army is prestige of the Iraqi state, and individuals or armed groups outside the law cannot tamper with the reputation of Iraq and its military establishment. He directed the armed forces to operations in Kirkuk to pursue the terrorist cells of ISIS, whose activities diminished after these operations. Also, Mustafa al-Kazimi, the Prime Minister of Iraq, directed the prosecution of all those who committed crimes and fled outside Iraq, and appeared to arrest a criminal who killed a group of Ponmer clans. Because this directive sends reassurance to the hearts of citizens and sends messages stating that the state is able to extend its authority over all, and that the application of the law is the exclusive right of the state to all those who begged themselves to break the law. In addition to the arrest of criminals who tamper with the security of citizens in the regions, many of them have been arrested. Mustafa Al-Kazemi understands the importance of security. Security, economic prosperity, and political stability are two sides of the same coin, because no state in modern and contemporary history has advanced economically without stabilizing the security situation. DinarThug
Al-Kazemi is in a "critical situation" .. Iraq needs a "miracle" Free / Private - Washington June 17, 2020 In the darkest conditions that passed in Iraq, there was always abundant money flowing in the hands of the government, often used to boost security spending or create jobs, which would later lead to stability, albeit shaky, of the situation. However, according to economic and security professionals who spoke to Al-Hurra, the "current crisis is very dangerous" and threatens countries that have not known long-term stability, perhaps since the 1950s. "When there is money in the hands of people, other problems are more likely, but the economic threat is what makes people make desperate choices," economist Pioneer of Tribulation told Al-Hurra. At this time, the government of Mustafa Al-Kazemi, which many expected to be a rescue government, faces very big problems, perhaps the most important of which is the decrease in Iraq's financial imports and the pressure that the private sector is exposed to due to the procedures to confront the Corona virus. "This is a global problem," says the ordeal, "but in Iraq the situation is more dangerous. Years of dependence on the rentier economy and the lack of revitalization of the economy and the adoption of an appointment policy in order to silence people paralyzed any ability of the Iraqi economy to face challenges." Over the past years, many small investments have been closed under pressure from import subsidies that the state was indirectly doing, because of its support for dollar prices. Now, thousands of hectares of farmland have been lost, thousands of small factories closed, and craftsmen have closed their stores due to import, "everyone relied on the government salary," says the ordeal. Building an economy from scratch is an almost impossible task even in countries that enjoy stability and resources, and the task is more difficult in Iraq, whose government appears to be the weakest player in it. "Any initiative to impose security will collide with the will of parties and militias, and with corruption, which are often one thing," says security journalist Abdullah Al-Muhammadi. According to al-Muhammadi, "parties and militias control border crossings and ports, and run an active smuggling trade that is devastating to the Iraqi economy and security, and that weapons and people pass through the outlets for amounts of less than $ 200 per person." And Muhammadi adds to the "free", the government can not impose security "by using its army torn allegiances, or by using its police, which is controlled by militias and parties, especially since the prime minister who used popular officers to manage security centers, may himself become a hostage of those officers who protect him" From the power of the militias that threaten him. " Al-Kazimi was subjected to serious accusations and threats by the militia even before he was voted on in Parliament, as he was accused of facilitating the American bombing that led to the killing of Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis in early January, near Baghdad airport. Political analyst Samer Saad told Al-Hurra that “the decisions that Al-Kazemi must first need to be studied in depth, and it is clear to Al-Kazemi through recent decisions that he does not like this type of decision and prefers decisions that have media repercussions.” According to Saad, "Al-Kazemi does not face opposition in parliament, but he also does not have support in him. He does not have the papers that allow him to win this support, and he may be thinking about a political future for this, so critical options may not be presented at this time." "In addition to this, the media machine of Shiite parties and militias harnesses its capabilities to attack it and it does not have the support of civilians and secularists even though it is accountable to them, so it is in a critical situation," Saad said. Iraq is currently facing a stifling economic crisis and a very large health crisis, in addition to its "chronic" security and political crises. "We need some kind of miracle," says political analyst Samer Saad, "but unfortunately miracles usually happen late." DinarThug
Poll: sharp decline in Iran's popularity among Iraqis ... and increased acceptance of the United States Free / Translations - Washington June 18, 2020 Iran's popularity among Iraqis has become less than that of the United States "for the first time", according to a new poll conducted by an independent Iraqi research center. Iran's acceptance among Iraqis has reached its "lowest level in years", according to a poll by the Independent Institute for Management and Civil Society Studies (IIACSS). The results of the study conducted by the Institute indicate that Iran has acceptance of only 15 percent of Iraqis, while at least a third of Iraqis prefer the United States. "For the first time in a long time, we see the preference of the United States among Iraqis as weak as their preference for Iran," said Munqeth Dagher, director of the institute, which is considered a representative of Iraq at the Gallup Foundation in Washington. These figures indicate, according to the researcher, "a sharp decline in Iran's acceptance in the Iraqi street, after there were positive sentiments towards it by about 70 percent of the Iraqis in 2017." The decline in Iraqi popular support for Iran comes as the United States and Iraq began a "strategic dialogue" to determine the future of their partnership after the war against ISIS. The two sides held a first round of talks last week, followed by the issuance of a joint statement indicating Washington's commitment to reducing the number of US forces stationed in Iraq and expanding their partnership to include more cultural and economic cooperation. Former US ambassador Barbara Lev said during an online seminar at which the poll results were announced that the United States is "looking to turn the relationship beyond strict security aspects into a more sustainable relationship." A report by the Voice of America website indicates that since the death of the commander of the "Quds Force" in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, by an American raid in January, Tehran has tried through its allies in the Iraqi parliament and its armed militias on the ground to force the American forces to withdraw, and the parliament passed a non-binding resolution With that. But the new agreement reached in the dialogue "does not appear to meet the demands of Iran's allies in Iraq who have pushed for a full withdrawal of American forces or the lifting of legal protection for the rest of the forces." In the joint statement, Iraq reiterated its commitment to protecting the remaining US forces and diplomatic facilities, a pledge according to experts that may be difficult to keep on the ground. John Hana, chief Middle East analyst for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies in Washington, said: "Now comes the hard part." He added: "What will Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi do the next time a militia launches a major missile attack on an American facility?" And he considered that "actions, not words" will determine the extent of commitment to what is stated in these pledges. Hana also warned of the dangers of leaving a large number of American forces while "ISIS continues to pose a major threat, especially in the disputed areas in the north." Raman Gavame, an analyst specializing in rebel groups, based in London, said that recent events may push Iraq away from the Iranian orbit, noting that "the timing of the dialogue is not in the interest of Iran or its proxies." He added that "after months of protests in Iraq against Iranian influence, mismanagement, corruption and feelings of depression in Iran because of the Covid-19 epidemic and the deterioration of the economy, and Tehran's inability to provide any valuable support to Iraq, this did not leave Baghdad with much space" to walk in the direction of Washington and Tehran together. But despite Iran's declining acceptance among Iraqis, experts believe that Tehran will remain an "influential player" in Iraqi politics in the foreseeable future. "Iran still has the ability to have the greatest political influence in Iraqi politics," said Jason Brodsky, director of the United States-based "Uniting Against Nuclear" organization. He pointed out that the Iranian government recently said that it had reached an energy agreement with Iraq and another related to building a highway linking the Iranian cities of Mehran and the holy city of Najaf in Iraq. "While the sanctions and the disappearance of Soleimani weakened Iran's hand (in Iraq), Tehran continues to exert its influence on the ground," Brodsky said.
